Been wanting to try the location in Fairhaven, finally did today...never again. Planned on making it a memorable birthday lunch, and it was. Walked up to the trailer, the guy running it was on his phone. We looked over the menu for a few minutes, then he just put up a "closed" sign in the open window. He clearly saw us, never got off his phone, no explanation, not a word said, at 12:00, prime time lunch! It was the oddest, rude way to deal with customers. I guess they don't need the business. Good thing, they won't ever get ours. Totally scrapped our afternoon plans. If you own a business, at least be consistent with your hours. The salmon burgers are delicious here and the fish tacos are among the best I've ever had! One of my new favorite Seafood restaurants. Actually it's a food trailer attached but the Seafood is fresh or authentic and is nicely prepared for a pop-up restaurant. I highly recommend a visit to this someone out of the way place for seafood meals. read more

I found this place via Yelp and decided to take the kids while we were in town. Feeding 5 children was not cheap but the food was great. No complaints and several of my kids are picky, picky, picky. Had I realized the location is no where near "downtown" I may have bypassed it entirely. But it was a nice little drive outside of town and the parking was a breeze which was a definite plus. The lady who took our order was quite friendly and was kind enough to bring the food outside while we waited. Overall will likely stop again when we are in the area. read more

What the heck happened? I used to look forward to picking up food from The Galley. Todays meal has me wondering if I ever want to go back. We ordered halibut and clam strip baskets tonight. The clams tasted old and were tough and over done. Halibut was edible but clams and chips ended up in the trash can. The food is good; the customer service sucks! If you order by phone, you have to stand in line while drop-ins order their food. Don't bother! I arrived at the stated pickup time and my order sat on the counter for nearly 15 minutes while two couples ahead of me pondered what to order. The counter guy engaged them in conversation and never asked if anyone in line was just picking up an order. They are now adding 3% if you use a credit card and don't bag orders; I was just handed two boxes of food that I had to juggle on the way back to the car. I've placed phone orders with them in the past and didn't have this kind of delay at pick-up. I may order from them again; and, I may not. They just don't understand customer service! read more

Disappointed! Hours on website say open until 6pm. Hours specified on answering machine say open until 5:30pm. I called at 4:45pm to place an order. No one answered & their voicemail was full. I showed up on Wednesday at 5:10pm, everything was closed! I walked around for a few mins and found a worker. I said, "I thought you closed at 5:30pm or 6pm. Husband had Mahi Mahi basket and it was awesome. I had the halibut burger and it was horrible. I was expecting crispy fillet (on bun) and instead got stale pre-formed patty on a very soggy bun. I was totally thrown for a loop because we've eaten here before and everything was great. read more

Over the last few weeks I have had a chance to try the salmon, cod, shrimp, and the oysters at the Galley at Hanigan Seafood. I must say that I was more than suitably impressed with all items. This little place is quite unreal and the prices are exceedingly reasonable. The quality on all items was absolutely perfect over the period of three weeks that I ordered them. This is simply not usual for a small outfit especially during the Covid crisis. Most organizations have had quality problems when they turn to take out only. The people are extremely friendly, they are quick, and everything comes out of the kitchen exceptionally well done. read more
