An outstanding little joint in the middle of an industrial park near the airport, The Garage offers wood fired pizza, nice sandwiches, friendly service and a warehouse-y feel when you eat in. I've heard about the place and many will convey pleasure through their personal social media channels, so I sought it out when I had some time to kill after work. Ordered the pastrami reuben, which came with some terrific hand cut fries. I was offered the choice of old bay or parmesan truffle seasoning, but just want with the standard salt and a bit of pepper. The fries were delicious and I wished there were more. The sandwich was HOT with gooey cheese blending in nicely with the meat of the reuben. It was tasty, but the grilled bread seemed just a little greasy coming right off the grill. I would have liked a bit more meat, but all the same, it was a nice tasty spot. Gonna try the pizza next time. But find it and enjoy it. read more

Omg, the pizza is to die for! I'm not a red sauce person, so the Spaniard was perfection! Very flavorful, crust was great! The rest of the table had a Reuben with fresh cut fries, very good! Also had the crispy chicken Cobb salad which was perfect for lunch. Google maps needs to work on their directions a bit, but be patient and take the time to find it (after driving by it 4 times lol)' I wasn't sure what to expect walking into a true garage (though it's kind a cute). Place was unique. Pizza was good, nice flavor. Wife had a Ruben which she said was good. The one issue was she upgraded to fries and not chips. They were soaked with grease and not edible. When she told the waiter that she could not eat the fries and if it could be taken off the bill they convinced her that they would heat up good in air fryer. The service was friendly and fantastic. Brought my family and they went the extra mile to make my 7 year old son feel special. It was best pizza I have had in Frederick. The crust is cooked to perfection and the pepperonis had a nice char. The cob salad and the loaded tots were also delicious. My only criticism is I wish they had real metal cutlery because the plastic struggled to do the job on the hearty and delicious cob salad. I just heard about this place, a little off the beaten trail. I was a little worried when there were few customers there, but we were committed and ready to try new things. I ordered a simple cheese pizza. My wife and daughter something different. We all loved what we got. The cheese pizza had good bread, the sauce was great (a hint of sweetness, I think), and overall great flavor. The staff was friendly and attentive. The restaurant was clean. There was a "bar" for patrons to sit and have a beer and a pizza, but was really just a counter with backless stools. I was pleasantly surprised at how much I liked this restaurant. I got takeout from here. I had a falafel wrap and the tzatziki fries. When we called to order, it was extremely loud in the background of the restaurant, so the employee was having trouble hearing us. They made a slight error in our order and charged us for an extra order of fries when we had said NO fries. The food was good but not anything out of this world. I'm am highly disappointed in my steak and cheese I typical rave about how good they are but this one is burnt and absolutely disgusting.

The is the most unique place that I've tried so far. I love the theme of the restaurant as it has a large garage door near the front door. Very open dining area with a very nice bar with local beers from Frederick. The food was somehow even better. The wings were large, crispy, and sauces very well with a house made beer bbq sauce that I would highly recommend. I ordered the "Meat" pizza which came with house made pepperoni and sausage topped with caramelized onions. It was SO good and the onions added a hint of sweetness to the savory pizza. The pizza was cooked to a nice crisp (not burn or overdone) with their very nice pizza oven you can see in the kitchen. The only reason I don't give this experience five stars is the service. The sever disappeared for most of the time I was there making the man behind the bar cover down. It wasn't very busy and had to ask several times for a refill. He most certainly did his best to cover down. Will most definitely go back as the food and atmosphere is amazing. Great little hidden gem by the airport in Frederick. read more
