    Vegan donuts

There was a long line to order but it moved fairly quickly. They have a great looking selection of donuts and I would like to go back to try them. I ordered a mocha (iced). Service was very friendly. Small wait for the drink to be ready. They have indoor and outdoor seating.

Everytime I go to the farmers market in Carlsbad I have to stop by The Goods for my donuts and coffee. They are excellent and great quality, flavor and freshness. It is very pleasant to be there with the flowers and nice people who are not attached to the phones but just enjoying good conversations. You can also get some nice cards and merch for last minute gifts. I likw the color palette of the coffee shop and the comfortable green seating area as well as the tables. All is clean and I like the bathroom floor, check it out, made with coins!

Definitely deserving of the name! This place has The Goods!!! The donuts were delicious and still warm. Tried the seasonal lemon berry. The inside lemon filling was tart and sweet. And the berry topping was divine! The apple fritter was perfectly cooked with sweet chunky apple filling. Only warning is it's very sweet - as a donut should be. Almost ordered another but glad we didn't as 1.5 sweet treats was perfect - filling and sugary. The staff was friendly and helpful. Was pleasant to sit inside and enjoy the sweet treats. Was a nice flow of customers, never busy or noisy. Highly recommend for those with a sweet tooth!

The farmer's market is just outside the entrance but the noise is not obtrusive.

Whenever we travel to Carlsbad, we spend Wednesday afternoon at the Farmers' Market in Carlsbad Village. On our second lap of the booths, we visit The Goods for coffee and a doughnut and a short rest at one of their tables. The waitstaff is helpful, pleasant, and attentive even though they are very busy with customers and restocking doughnuts. One goes to the counter for order, payment, and pickup as in many coffee shops. It just feels local and we enjoyed the nostalgia and the respite. It is easy to find but on Wednesdays you will likely have to park two blocks away.

Guava passionfruit, key lime, brown butter, fritter

North County Donut Tour - Stop 1: As someone who lives in SD proper, I almost never have a reason to go far, far away up to N County. But I've had my eye on some donut shops up there for a while so decided "will travel for donuts," and visited the farthest one away first. The Goods has a unique selection of flavors and many overall options. The key lime pie filled donut caught my eye since I rarely see this flavor, and am a sucker for a meringue topping. Got the passionfruit guava per employee recommendation and the brown butter sea salt. The toasted meringue on the key lime pie donut was scrumptious and I enjoyed the tartness of the curd filling. However it definitely tasted like quality lemon curd, not key lime. The guava passionfruit was a miss because there was so little filling and I didn't taste any assertive passionfruit note. I did like the cream cheese fruity frosting on top but there was just too much plain doughnut left over so this one didn't deliver for me. But the overall winner was definitely the much humbler looking brown butter sea salt. The crumb was extra moist, and the flavor notes were harmonious.

Bottom left clockwise: apple fritter, cruller, chocolate eclair thingy , berry, maple bacon and the one filled with a Nutella foam/creme.

Nice people, very clean, good donuts. We selected 6 donuts and 3 out of the six were bangers. For the most part the donuts were light and airy. The bangers were the chocolate eclair type one, the Nutella foam filled and maple bacon donuts. $32 for 6 donuts makes a me a bit picky, but I probably wouldn't get the French cruller or seasonal berry donuts again. I definitely wouldn't get the apple fritter a second time.

GLAZE AND GRIND (some words of wisdom on their wall) The Goods was very cutesy and vibrant, the type of coffee shop/donut place that fits in with the carlsbad boutiques! they had a variety of donuts (even gluten free, vegan ones!). I went in to get a fun drink. I ordered an oat milk matcha latte with vanilla, and when i asked for it to be a little sweeter, the staff accommodated. there are tables inside and outside, making it a fun place to lounge. i will def being coming back!

I am a die hard SideCar fan, so I had high expectations coming in...especially with the reviews. The Goods is waking distance from the massage spa we come down to Carlsbad for. I dropped my wife off and decided to take a quick 5 minute stroll with my toddler to donut shop. I was impressed with the variety of donuts and type of donuts they offered. We decided to go with what seemed to be their largest donut (at least from my POV), a good ol Apple Fritter ($6). It was nice and warm when they handed us the fritter. I was again impressed by the size of it. It was well worth the price. Plenty of seating both inside and outside. I kept seeing people constantly coming in and out, and not only for their donuts but for some coffee as well. I plan on venturing out next time and trying one of their other flavorful donuts.

Delicious. Kind service. Fun Art Deco kind of vibe. A must try at least once. Highly recommend the jalapeño croissant and anything seasonal. Not cheap, but a fun one time experience or treat.

I read about The Goods from another Yelpie's great review. While my eldest daughter and I were staying in Carlsbad, we had to come here and check out The Goods goods. We arrived about 30 mins before closing time. Yes, they close early like around 4:00 PM or until all goods are gone. It's a quaint donut and baked goods shop with great decor and good inside bench seating. There are outside seating as well. They have a variety of classic and unique donut flavors. By the time we got here, there were limited donuts and other baked goods left. The lady who helped us was very nice and friendly. I asked her for any best sellers. Glazed round was one of them. Seasonal Berry was another favorite. I was debating between the Glazed and Seasonal Berry. I went with the Glazed. I have been wanting to find a Boston Cream Pie. Well, I found a Boston Cream donut so I had to get it LOL. The lady was kind to throw in the Seasonal Berry on the house just so I can try it. Thank you so much miss! I appreciate the sweet gift. Wow, all 3 donuts were amazing! None of them were overly sweet... just perfect! Glazed donut was soft. Berry filling was abundant. Cream filling was quite tasty. We both enjoyed all of them very much. Pricing was about $4 - $5 per donut. Yeah, they are premium donuts at premium prices and that's okay. Sometimes we have to pay a little bit more for great quality goods. Believe the hype is for real! I highly recommend The Goods as it truly delivers the goods. Very grateful for The Goods! Will come back to indulge in their other unique donut flavors.

Cute little donut shop in downtown Carlsbad with indoor and outdoor seating to enjoy all your baked goods. We came on a Sunday morning and there was a decent selection of donuts (including gluten free options) and croissants. I tried the apple fritter and smores donut and enjoyed both. The apple fritter had a crisp exterior with large apple pieces inside the chewy interior. The smores donut was a yeast donut that was both aesthetically pleasing as it was delicious.

Ask the Community - The Goods

Do they have a creme brûlée donut?

I have not seen that one, but they're website does list what they usually have. They might switch out flavors but not totally sure when.

    Do you have Vegan donuts?

Yes, they did offer at least one Vegan option during our visit.

I see there are gluten-free donuts but are there donuts that are gluten-free and dairy-free? Or is it just one or the other?

They have both! Like 4-5 GF options and maybe 1-2 GF/vegan

    Do they do online orders?

My wife searched for an online order system and didn't find one. However, you can pre-order a pickup by phone. It's the best way to beat those weekend lines if you want more than a doughnut or two.

Does this business sell the donuts as a dozen?

Yes; what's on hand, or, the secret: Order your special flavor(s) ahead of time by phone & avoid the lines!

Do they offer low carb donut?

Not that I saw. They have gluten free and vegan, but low carb is a tough one! There would be a lot of money for someone who invented a good tasting low carb donut :-)

Hello, Do you accept credit cards?

    Yes they do.

Do they have gluten free daily?

    yes they do:))

The esthetic is really nice and as good as the coffee. It looks like they have seasonal offering that changes with the four seasons of the year. For spring seasonal I had a pistachio latte. But here's the kicker--she orders her coffee plain, simple, and black. To me? It tastes exactly like every other coffee in the world. (Don't bean me, it's just the truth!) Despite my lack of enthusiasm for bean water, we recently checked out Revolution Roasters, and I figured it was time to espresso my thoughts on the place. Spoiler alert: It was a pretty brew-tiful experience. Since I'm not a coffee guy, I let my wife handle the beverage department. She ordered an Iced Cold Brew and gave it an enthusiastic thumbs up. She said it was really good, which means Revolution Roasters is definitely doing something right to keep the coffee purists happy. Now, onto my territory, the White Chocolate Scone was a hit with the wife because it wasn't too sweet. If you prefer your pastries without a side of sugar shock, this is the one for you. However, full disclosure: if you're standing there debating between this scone and the savory pot pie from the shop right across the way... I'm going with the pot pie. Sorry, scone. I also ordered the Berry & Cream Cheese Toast, which was the real MVP. Again, it wasn't overly sweet, and they nailed the ratio. There was a perfectly even, generous spread of cream cheese and berry topping. Highly recommend! Revolution Roasters is located in a super cool, market-style space filled with other neat little shops. It makes for a great, lively atmosphere. When we walked in, the line was pretty long--clearly, the secret is out. But don't let a crowd deter you! The service was incredibly smooth and helpful, and they've got the operation down to a science. Plus, despite the crowd, there was actually adequate seating for a ton of people. We didn't have to play the awkward "hover around a table until someone leaves" game. While the vibes are immaculate, there is one tiny logistical hurdle. For a coffee shop that gets this busy, there is only one bathroom. If you've just downed a large iced brew, you might have to practice some patience. All in all, Revolution Roasters ground its way into our good graces. Between the smooth service, the cool market atmosphere, and food that hits the spot, I could definitely see us filtering back in here again soon. Whether you love coffee or you're just there for the toast, it's well worth a visit!

The coconut flavor definitely comes through. This was our first time trying a coconut latte and we were not disappointed.
