I've been here twice for their Korean-Chinese menu and have really enjoyed my food both times! They are one of the few restaurants in the Bay Area (especially East Bay) that has a Korean-Chinese menu, so I was very excited. You'll have to ask for this menu as they normally just give the standard Chinese-American menu. We had the Korean style chicken wings (kkampoongi), the black bean noodles (jjajjangmyun), and the palbochae (Korean seafood mix) and all were delicious. The green beans were from the Chinese menu and were very flavorful as well. Friendly service and I like that there's a buzzer you can push at your table for quick service.

    Beef chow fun.

We came here for takeout and got 2 dishes, the beef chow fun and the spicy eggplant. I was expecting to like it more because of the great reviews, but I thought it was just mediocre. Although the chow fun was actually pretty good, it was overly greasy with a lot of grease at the bottom of the to-go container, and I wished it had more meat. But they did include bean sprouts which is the way I like my chow fun! The eggplant had very good flavor, but was a little watery and plain. I wished it had slivered wood ear and slivered bamboo shoots to give it some crunch and texture, like other places which include these in their eggplant dishes. The manager seemed very nice. I would give this place another chance and would like to come back to try their other dishes.

The best Hot and Sour soup! Price and portion reasonable... For so many years been eating at this establishment and every-time ... the service and food always good!

Was in the mood for jjajang and someone recommended this place. Didn't know we had a Korean-Chinese place in Lafayette. Walked in late in the afternoon just before they closed for their break. Interesting ambiance - kind of feels like they took over a western restaurant and didn't do much remodeling. Service was very friendly and prompt. Unfortunately I didn't care much for the jjajang - it was just a bit bland. I know there are different ways to make jjajang so maybe others will like it. I also had the spicy shrimp - this was also more sour than spicy, but pretty good overall.

The food was very good. The service was okay. The ambiance was good. Prices were reasonable. My roommates voted the honey walnut shrimp as their fav with the salt n pepper pork as an honorable mention.

I ordered the chicken fried rice, jjajangmyeon, and fried chicken wings. The service was really quick and the food came out fast. The dishes were all shareable sizes and really affordable. Each dish was flavorable and delicious! I also liked the layout of the restaurant, it was big and there are a lot of seats.

Great Wall has been our favorite Chinese restaurant, so we drive all the way from SF to eat here when we have a craving for their hot & sour soup (the best!), honey walnut prawns, ginger chicken and/or fried rice. Not everything is great but they do some dishes very well. The chefs have been there for more than 25 years. The service has always been good. That is until... Last Friday, Feb. 21st, we drove over and showed up at 8:05pm (on the dot) and the manager refused to seat us, insisting that they only do takeout after 8pm. We argued that their posted hours are until 8:30pm and we were there at 8:05pm. Not only that, their sigh posted outside, clearly states "last seating 15 minutes before closing". We've never seen the guy before and if the owners are smart they'll get rid of him before he drives their business down. A regular member of the staff even asked whether he should seat us, but he told them no. So awful as it ruined our experience and we brought a few people with us.

10/10 really delicious! After Mandarin Garden closed down, been searching for a place that has jjajangmyeon and jjampong as similar to theres. Been knowing the restaurant owners previously and they recommended Great Wall and the owner would sometimes work as a chef here!! Food was great, honey walnut prawns were such a huge portion and the egg fried rice was flavorful as well. The jjampong hit the spot as well and the portions for everything were massive. Assorted appetizers were very tasty, their sauces complimented it a lot and I definitely want to try their calamari next time! I loved seeing all of the locals coming in, and by the atmosphere alone you can tell the food and service will be good. (They were very attentive)

Great Wall continues to be one of our mainstays, and recently enjoyed their lunch specials, especially while dining in. We started with a corn-based soup which was tasty and followed with their signature orange chicken served with steamed white rice (or brown rice if you like) and a freshly deep-fried egg roll. Overall, it was a generous portion of food and delicious, along with terrific service!

Fabulous food and service. I always start with tea and Won ton soup. Theirs is the best. The flavor is perfect. A real soup with home made wontons.and snap peas and mushrooms and shrimp. I'm eating the chicken in Black bean sauce over rice. Lots of chicken cooked perfectly with onions and mushrooms and lots of black beans and red bell pepper. Looks great and tastes better. The chef is a master.

I accidentally found Kung Fu Kitchen by reading another Yelper's reviews who was at the same Stretch Zone I was trying out in Clayton. Like others have mentioned, the shrimp is plump and succulent. I enjoyed the shrimp in my chow fun. The chow fun itself had good texture albeit too much soy sauce. The Hong Kong noodles were beautiful to look at and had everything you can imagine on it. There were two kinds of mushrooms, chicken, beef, sweet peas, shrimp and bok choy. The sauce in the Hong Kong noodles was not very strong but the amount of high quality toppings made up for it. The dry braised green beans had good crunch and there was a generous amount but the flavoring was also on the light side. This is good for people on low sodium diets. Both the Hong Kong noodle dish and the green bean dish were generously sized but the chow fun dish is more of a one person dish. They come on nice bright white plates. Prices were not cheap but it is the norm for the area. We paid close to 60 dollars after tip for three dishes at lunch and had some leftovers. They have very good lunch specials on the weekdays that give you plenty of food for about 13 dollars a person. People near us were enjoying their lunch specials. However, I advise taking to go on hot days because it was 95° inside the restaurant and there was no AC. I was wearing a thick hoodie today and it was pretty hot the entire time I was eating inside.
