This is a great place to eat. Food was great, staff was very attentive because I was the only person in the place when I walked in. They were dead. But it picked up and was hopping when I left. I think my waiter was a trainee, he was a little slow and not very fast. Which was ok as I was waiting on someone to come eat with me. The savory crepe was good, very gooey from the cheese and sauce. The omelette I saw was more scrambled eggs with bacon and cheese left to sit in the bottom of a fry pan. Then tossed over the other inside ingredients. This place was recommended by my local aunt. The food is okay. Bacon is NOT crispy. The hash browns are definitely homemade and look delish. The waffles are perfect, not huge like some places. We have been 3 times and every time has been different, the first time was definitely the best, the second time wasn't so great and this last time Friday made my decision to never go back easy. There was probably 10 people working maybe more, only 5 tables with people at them, we never got a coffee refill even after asking and being told "Ill be right back, and at $3.50 per cup it would have been nice to have more than a single cup, also my wife ordered a waffle "extra crispy" and it came out not cooked all the way through. I have never given a bad review to anywhere I have kept my mouth shut, I'm only giving a bad review in hopes they will see it and make changes, because this place was awesome the first time we went. I took my family Sunday 8/18/2019 for brunch around 11:30am it took about 20 minutes to get seated we ordered our food took close to 50 minutes to get sent out to us our waitress was very rude only checked on us once to ask us if we needed more drinks or anything else once the food came out I ordered a scramble the portion was tiny my hash browns were burnt and my scramble had some huge pieces of raw onion my son found egg shells on his sunny side up eggs we let the waitress know and she she said she would take the eggs and 1 pancake off the menu after but with attitude after that we were don't that was our first time going to this place and our last service and food was horrible. read more

This review makes me sad since I liked this place the first time I went. This morning and waited about 10 minutes to be seated which was not bad for a Saturday morning. Our table was ok, but it was right by the check in station and the employees were talking about seating people very loudly and yelling to each other directly over us. Our waitress took our drink orders, brought those to us and was nowhere to be seen again for probably 20 minutes. Once she finally came back we ordered our food and another round of waters/coffee and then...nowhere to be seen again for another 20 minutes. When our food came it looked alright. I ordered the crab cake eggs Benedict and it was a runny and bland, but the main problem was the hair that I found in my food. So gross. I pointed it out to the waitress and she acted offended and like she didn't believe me. She took my food to the kitchen to show the kitchen staff and brought it back minus the contaminated portion since I didn't want to wait another half hour for them to remake it while the rest of my party finished their food. I took a few more bites of the hash browns after that and they were good. They comped my meal from the bill, but overall the damage was done. Our waitress was rude (at one point she asked if we wanted hot sauce with our meal and when I said yes she barked "what kind?" at me and seemed annoyed that I didn't magically know what kinds they offered) she was also inattentive when none of the other wait staff had trouble checking in on all their tables and she never apologized or said anything about the hair in my food. She chose to work there and interact with people, so own your choice and don't be in a terrible mood. Bad customer service and just rude. read more

Not sure what has happened to the Griddle in Nampa but it has gone downhill. We have had disappointing food and service the last couple times we visited. This has been a staple in our breakfast outings the past several years so it's disappointing to see the change. We are guessing it may be due to new staff or lack of staff. Not sure but I really hope they get it together there and get back to being the quality place it was in the past. I don't write a lot of reviews but am hopeful this helps some of these great places improve to what they can be. read more

Wow!! 5 stars all the way. No complaints. We visited on Father's Day and they were very busy which we expected. The wait wasn't too long, maybe ten minutes or so. The interior of the restaurant is bright, clean and well decorated. The interactions between all of the employees was positive, they all appeared to be enjoying themselves and were respectful. Everyone was dressed nice and it was obvious that they were in the business of serving people. Our waitress was so attentive, fun and polite. I was most pleased with their menu, while they had the traditional breakfasts that you will find at all diners there was also a refreshing mix of unique and healthy options. Prices are a bit higher than some but it was well worth it. Thank you for offering such a diverse menu, this was a real treat for our family and we all left satisfied. All around exceptional. Six of us dining and all were impressed with food, atmosphere, service and options. This is a true mom and pop restaurant. Hand made food, fresh squeezed OJ. Literally fresh. Heads up it's not cold. That is how fresh it is. I have food allergies and waitress went out if her way to make sure food was safe and still delicious. We have eaten here about 3 or 4 times now and every time is a great experience. The staff is friendly and attentive. Our food comes out quickly and tastes amazing. Fresh squeezed orange juice, great coffee, eggs are fluffy, hash browns aren't too greasy. I would expect the food to be pricier but it's very reasonable. The Eggs Benedict is my favorite. I will start out saying I have been a fan of The Griddle for 20 plus years. This is the first visit to this location and unfortunately I can't say that I am a fan of this location. I ordered a Breakfast that I requested no chorizo add sausage. I was given nothing and it made the meal bland. I informed the waitress when the food arrived at the table 40 minutes after ordering I said I'll live with it because I don't want to wait anymore. My daughter ordered a grilled cheese with fries the fries were dark brown and very few eatable. The waitress was nice and did try to get the manager to address it, however she was told just address it with the cook. Usually the food is good here, today not so much. I ordered the biscuits and gravy which didn't taste as I had hoped. The gravy was cold and I think the biscuit was found from a WWII MRE, it was dry and tasteless. My son ordered the stuffed french toast which he didn't get. Went here for the first time with my 4yr old nephew who has dairy and eggs allergies. They were amazing working with us to make pancakes he could have safely. It is sometimes hard to go places with him, since dairy and egg are in everything. They made it a great experience, and he felt special with the special pancake. They take a little bit to get you seated but once you're seated they're pretty dang fast on getting your food. The servers are really nice and the food is pretty unique. I've been to the Griddle in Eagle, which was good, but this was my first time to the Nampa one. I was pleasantly surprised. I had a roasted beet salad and my friend had the Reuben. She loved hers and would order it again and I really liked mine too and would order it again. I will have to go to the Griddle more often. Wow!!! It is hard to find a good breakfast spot where everything on the menu is good, but I have yet to get something I didn't like. What I live about this place is there amazing French toast with sweetened pure maple syrup. Not to mention mimosas and blood Mary's!!! They also have fresh squeezed oj. This place is pretty expensive in comparison to other places. The food is OK for the most part. The hash browns are great, but the chicken fried steak is... interesting. It tastes like it's made with finger steak batter. The omelette was alright except for the fake tasting cheese. The service was terrible, but it was probably just the waitress we had. We couldn't catch her attention to get refills on coffee and water even once. The home made jam never showed up to the table. FINALLY a wonderful experience all around!! Nearly full restaurant,, greeted immediately from several servers as we walked in. It's seat yourself, which is hit and miss in my experience if they figure out you're there. Server immediately appeared for drink order. Brought mom's hot water and tons of tea selection. When mom seemed confused and said just black, server kindly said here's English breakfast... BRI ROCKS. I take a little coffee with my cream, I say always, and usually still get a FULL cup of coffee. Not this time, was just right. And good, too. Now, time to order, lots looked good (it's a breakfast diner folks), couldn't decide. Put menus down, sat upright, BOOM Bri appears, y'all ready? Was self seating when we arrived so we sat down and watched several other people who came in after us get service before us. We walked out.

First time at this location. Food was good. I think a little overpriced for what you get. You can get more for your money at Mr. Vs and Sunrise in Caldwell. The service was NOT up to par. The wait was long. I believe we waited about 10 minutes just to get our drinks. Levi was our server and never came by to see if we needed a refill on our drinks. When I asked for a refill on my coffee, he didn't ask my hubby if he needed a refill on his soda. Didn't notice we had no napkins. When he brought our food, he didn't ask us if we needed anything like hot sauce, ketchup, etc. Was not impressed overall. read more
