Breakfast was delivered and we were not offered salsa, Tabasco, ketchup and when we asked, the waitress forgot to bring them. No jam or jelly with breakfast until we asked for them 3. Our waitress was delivering food to the next table over when she placed her full tray of food on to our table to hand out their food from our table. 4. Good not Great. You can't put a price on friendly, great service. They've got that, in spades. We went in on Memorial Day, 2023. My one nephew was overjoyed with the pecan french toast, the other was happy with the quinoa something or other( that he didn't know he ordered) and my wife was happy with her custom omelet, but frankly my Eggs Benedict was a let down. Try something else. The eggs were overcooked. The hollandaise was obviously from a mix. It had an unnatural glow in color and far too sweet and tart to be made by a human being. They bragged about the Canadian bacon they use, but I had to spit half of it into a napkin. The busboy got the muffins. Anyway...the service was great. Came here last Saturday to help my french toast craving. Firth of all these people are hustling on a busy Saturday morning but I was pleasantly surprised with how quickly we were seated. This place was AWFUL. My mom and I both got the California Benedict and the hollandaise sauce was disgusting, separated and runny. I have never had hollandaise that bad. The orange juice was warm and tasted off. The hash browns were overcooked and hard to the point of being chewy. When we asked for a substitute dish, we got their famed bacon and pecan French toast to share and it honestly just tasted burnt and dry, as if they purposely gave us a horrible replacement to retaliate. We were met by rudeness and passive aggression from both the waitress and the manager. They refused to take off the other horrible Benedict and argued with us about how much we ate of our disgraceful dishes. My mom said this was one of her favorite breakfast places, but for her that changed today. Truly we should have gotten a refund but the manager doubled down and showed no empathy or interest in our experience. Worst breakfast I've had in my life, would never come here again. Just moved to the nampa area and was told to check this place out for a possible "go to" breakfast spot. Meh... We've been in a few times, it's pretty hit and miss. The food is good, most of the time but that's about it. The gravy for the Biscuits and Gravy is really not good. I'm a B&G freak, if I see it on a menu... I'm gonna try it. This stuff almost seemed like it was thickened with corn starch... just really bland and unappetizing. I've also had a vegetable omelette and it was great so I guess it just depends on what you order. The service is really 5* here, the waitstaff is friendly and very attentive. I haven't been totally satisfied with the food so far but I will definitely be back to try more menu items. read more

This place by far exceeded my expectations. I've been feeling a little disillusioned with diners lately so I felt halfhearted when it was suggested. My mistake. As soon as I walked in, I felt cozy and in awe at the cheerful, homey decor! The walls are painted a gorgeous, textured dandelion yellow, with tons of windows and stained glass half moon panes with warm colored design. There is a breakfast bar along the back of the restaurant and the bar and all the tables are covered with beautiful glossy wood laminate. There is a seating area at the front which is nice because I had a little bit of a wait, as I came on a Saturday midmorning. There is a policy posted in the seating area that priority is given to parties that are complete, and that if your party is not, you will be seated when everyone arrives. An older couple sitting near me was grumpy and complaining about this, but I was also waiting for someone and didn't mind at all. It's a policy that makes perfect sense to me. My mom arrived and we were immediately seated and greeted cheerfully and given tons of recommendations by who I assume to be the owner or manager? I had just read a recommendation for the pecan crusted French toast with bacon caramel sauce so I knew what I was getting and my mom was sold on the special of the day: a Grand Marnier French Toast with heaps of berries and whipped cream. We both wanted to order an espresso drink, which I was excited that they offer since most diner coffee is revolting to me, but we both needed decaf and sadly, they don't carry decaf espresso. So my mom ordered an iced decaf latte and I had a decaf coffee with space for cream. It was alright, a step above traditional diner coffee. But when our French toasts arrived, that's where the magic was!! Both were ridiculously delicious and HUGE portions. We didn't order the combo, so just the French Toast and though I hadn't eaten yet, and have a healthy appetite, I wasn't able to finish mine!! I literally had to force myself to slow down, and had to close my eyes to enjoy the flavor explosions... It's been a long time since I've liked something that much!! Needless to say, this place has taken the cake as my new favorite local diner and we can't wait to go back and try more fabulously creative breakfasts. There are some specialties here; see pictures of the Chilequiles and Wild West entrees. The surprise was the home-made milkshakes. These are made from a hard vanilla ice cream base, fresh fruit, with milk and well-blended. In other words, the way they are supposed to be made. The taste and texture were excellent but you pay for it: $7. For breakfast I selected he Chilequiles ($11) which are made with flour chips instead of corn. The dish includes scrambled eggs, with chunks of onion, green pepper, and tomato in a mild enchilada sauce topped with feta cheese and cilantro. Guacamole and sour cream are provided on the side. It was good but I prefer corn chips in this dish and a medium spice level. The guacamole was slightly oxidized. You can add pork carnitas topping for an extra $2. The order next to mine was the Wild West specialty egg dish with fresh sliced jalepenos added. It looked delicious but I was not able to sample it. I LOVE breakfast, Breakfast is my favorite meal. My friend who lives in Boise recommended this when we went up to see the eclipse, just before we stopped at her home. We passed up this small, unassuming location at first and did a u-turn and came back. I had the Crab Cake Benedict and my husband had the Veggie Lover's omelet. The crab cake has little or no filler. The yolks were solid (some like is this way I know), but not hard and overdone. The Hollandaise sauce was light and lovely. The asparagus was just the right touch. One of the impressive things is that the Veggie Lover's didn't contain the usual cheap bell pepper. Instead, it has artichoke hearts, spinach, mushrooms, onions and tomatoes. That makes it not only healthier but tastier. The omelet is modest compared to Crazy Otto's, but Crazy Otto is called crazy for a reason. This establishment seems to have bridged the gap in maintaining a workforce dedicated to doing their job at a high level. Food was as expected for a mid to upper level establishment. Value for quality ingredients was also as expected. With coffee and regular breakfast meals we spent $30 + tip. We will definitely go back but be aware this is a busy establishment and wait times can be 15 minutes or more at times. Well worth the wait however. read more

So excited to have this place here in Nampa. Hands down the best breakfast joint in canyon county. Everything is made from scratch & super fresh! They offer espresso, fresh squeezed OJ, and a fabulous variety of breakfast dishes. The prices were kind of high however the food was so amazing it defiantly reflected its value. I was so excited. I had heard so many good things about this place. Today I had my partner call in an order for Auntie Mo's Spuds with biscuits and gray. I hopped in the shower real quick while she took the kids to go get our food. I was so excited. I get out of the shower and eagerly go to open my box and find nothing but disappointment. I could literally hold the entire contents in my left hand. Just mushy little mash of potatoes and onions and etc with two of the tiniest eggs I've ever seen. We spent what I consider a lot of money for a simple breakfast for two adults and a child and this was just an absolute joke. It really irks me that people like this will gladly take your money but not offer you any value in return. Maybe they thought we were ordering off the kids or senior menu, I don't know. But since it was takeout I have recourse and I'm not going to waste my time going down there. I'm simply writing this place off altogether. The Griddle is an establishment that I have frequented many times, but this was my first experience at the new Nampa location. On arrival it was obvious that the location was new because of the slight scramble at the sight of more customers, by once we were seated, everything changed. We had the privilege of sitting at the bar where we could see into some of the inner workings of the operation. Service personnel seemed to have a system that looks like organized chaos. They are clearly having fun and they are kind and fast. Lastly, and most importantly, the food. This is one thing that The Griddle does so so well. I ordered the pecan crusted French toast today and I walked out of that place on cloud nine. It's a small enough serving that I didn't feel sick, but it was enough to fill me up. And it was life-changing good. I highly recommend this location and if you get a chance to sit at the bar, take it. read more

My friend & I went to the Nampa Griddle last Friday. It wasn't all that busy, but very loud sitting near the counter, but not at the counter. Not really too professional with all the co-workers laughing and joking around. Our server seemed annoyed and bored with helping us. She tossed the container of sweeteners on the table with a loud clank almost throwing it. Our food seemed to take a long time and when we got it the fries were overcooked and barely warm. My friend special ordered her bread to be lightly toasted on her BLT and it was not. I could see the Server touching the bread when it was up on the cook's counter so she knew it was not lightly toasted. When she brought it to the table she seemed annoyed that my friend sent it back. When she got it the 2nd time it was hardly toasted at all and fell apart when eating it. Finally a Manager came to out table because by this time the fries were stone cold since they did not switch them out for new ones with the bread. We were both really disappointed with the meal and most likely will not be back. Maybe our Server was just having a rough day, I get that but you are still the face of the establishment. Food was very average and overall the visit disappointing. With the increased prices of restaurants nowadays we will choose more carefully where we spend our money. read more

The food is amazing, total comfort food. Biscuits and gravy that will fill your belly quick and it hurts so good. The servers are very attentive and check back quite often to refill drinks. Took my daughter here last Saturday after a recommendation. What a major disappointment. After waiting half an hour we were sat. Where we sat and sat and sat and sat. Probably 20 minutes. Our server finally took our order and we never saw her again during our dining experience. After receiving our food, (another long wait) we had to ask the food runner for hot sauce and ketchup. Asked bussers for water refills. I realized I needed jam for my toast. Nobody ever came back to check on us, nor could we get our servers attention. I had an omelet which was not thoroughly cooked, the eggs on the inside were still raw. My daughter had savory crepes which were mediocre. When the check finally arrived, I asked for jam. We then sat another 20 minutes with my card on the table. We decided to walk to the front to see if someone could run the card. The non existent server finally ca ught my eye and ran the card. I looked for a manager type person but there was not an obvious person in charge to be found. Super disappointing. read more

This morning my sister and I had breakfast at the Griddle. I hadn't eaten there before. It was very busy but our wait wasn't even 5 minutes! It was great! We had the raspberry crepes and spinach basil omelet. We substituted the Feta cheese. No problem. The omelet was cooked perfectly (not undercooked or overcooked/dry.). We split our dishes so we each got a crepe. The waitress brought out two extra plates for us to split our food. Coffee was refilled before it got empty. Great food and great service! A friend and I stopped into The Griddle in Nampa 8/4/24 for lunch. First off the waitress was kinda rude, by slamming down the sugar container on the table. Then she took our order a little later, again still kinda rude. i ordered a sandwich and asked for it to be lightly toasted. It seemed to be taking an extra long time to get our food. So we are looking around for our waitress and we see our food just sitting there, while she was stocking things and cleaning. So we keep watching, then finally she sees our food sitting there. Then she walks over to our food and touch's my toast with her hand to see if it is lightly toasted. Brings it over, right away I can tell it's not lightly toasted and the French fries are cold and over cooked. So I politely say, I wanted it lightly toasted and the fries are cold.She got mad and said do you want bread? So she took the food, and brought back the sandwich on bread, and cold. Been coming here every week for three years - it has consistently gone downhill over the last few months. Today I got the same omelette I get everytime I come here and I'm t was so dry I could have eaten it and the hash browns with my hands and had no mess. I would give 0 stars but it seemed the employees were working hard. The food was really bad. We often visit the Boise location and love the food. I always order the red flannel hash. I have no idea what happened to my hash but it was cold, soggy and covered in some kind of pink liquid. Looked nothing like it normally does. It tasted like they took it from the bottom of the sink and put out on my plate. My eggs were still clear and not cooked. My dates breakfast was also cold and his eggs were also raw despite asking for over medium. The moimosa was delicious and the place was clean....it was just really bad food also also..... they never brought water or my dates toast until we asked when meal was basically over. read more
