First of all the owners are very kind and the restaurant itself has a cozy family type atmosphere. Everything I've tried has been yummy - delicious. They do a really good job with their house made ingredients. 5 stars all around from me!

Let me tell you this is the best burger I've had in a long time with a side of homemade french fries nothing better than that.... This burger was huge meat quality was the best along with yummy special sauce and my favorite grilled onions .Also, the portions were ginormous!! Along with great food was great service very friendly, warm and inviting!!! 100% recommendation from me and I'm a foodie!!!!!

100% highly recommend and will definitely come back if we were ever in the area. The best burgers we have had in awhile. My husband and I had lunch here because our son was playing a sport tournament at the high school. I was so glad we stopped and had lunch here. The service was great. The food was fantastic and full of flavor. The A-1 chipotle sandwich was tasty but a little too sour for my liking. It was more sour than spicy. The Big D's Western Bbq Burger was delicious! The bacon stood out the most to me. It was thicker than the typical thin bacon and was full of flavor. It was so good we had to take our son back after the tournament to order him a Big D's burger.

Best burger in Grass Valley / Auburn by far! They make it all fresh, tons of specialty flavors, and you will go home full! Tried it out and my wife and I loved it and were surprised how much variety they had and how flavorful the burgers were. The place was full of art, sports, and nostalgia. The owners are super friendly and create a great atmosphere. Our new favorite.

Really enjoyed this place. They make some great, quality burgers -- easily one of the better I've had. Bun Is dense and reminds me a bit of in n out but better, and the beef is juicy and clearly great quality. Service is friendly, recommended!

5 stars, hands down! We stopped in at The Grind and ordered the BBQ Bacon Burger--and it did not disappoint! The burger was juicy, grilled perfectly, and the combo of sweet pineapple and grilled onions took it to the next level. The fries? Absolute perfection--hot, crispy, and just the right amount of salt. What really made the visit stand out was the customer service--so friendly and personable. You can tell they care about their guests. And the vibe inside? Super comfortable and the Bruin sports memorabilia throughout shows the Bear River pride. This place has everything you want in a great meal out. Can't wait to come back again soon!

It is refreshing to see local businesses aspiring to a higher standard than their surroundings. As a local born and raised here I can honestly say that there isn't much nearby to compare The Grind to, they simply have some of the best burgers that I have ever had, and trust me I've had quite a few. The burgers are big! Very big. The buns are kind of thick, so the amount that they get toasted makes it kind of like a texture gradient when you bite into it, making the burger feel sturdy and soft, becoming just slightly chewier in the center. The first time in to The Grind, I asked for a double because i didn't realize that these were burgers built for vikings, which is a trait I have spent many years in search of. The second time in, they had a new Western BBQ burger which was perfectly balanced with just the right amount of spiciness (jalapenos), and also had some kind of a tasty pineapple sauce. The spice levels were just right, it felt balanced. The coffees I had were also pretty good, at the very least better than starbucks. So far I have tried their cold brew, a frappe, and a double espresso. The cold brew honestly was a bit weak, but it was also delivered to me so I may need to try that one again. The frappe was good, they use Torani syrups which is fairly standard (I much prefer places that make their own syrups, it's not that hard! just a suggestion). The double espresso was also good, i didn't catch the brand of coffee they use but it wasn't over-roasted like typical starbucks-esque coffee shops. With my experience as a barista for 2 years and subsequent 8 years of coffee hobbyism, i can say that the double espresso alone was on par to a regular coffee focused shop, though it was a bit strange that their menu doesn't actually list the double espresso (and I was charged for a tea when i asked for one, since that price lines up with what a double espresso should be). Definitely has some interesting vibes since it is upstairs, and over a small bridge that overlooks a nice garden out front. Overall, a great experience, and I will be back to try the mushroom swiss burger, and probably more times in the future.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our lunch at The Grind last Sunday (June 22nd). The ABC Burger was by far one of the best hamburgers that I have eaten in years in the Grass Valley/Nevada City area. Bright flavors, perfectly cooked medium-rare, crispy bacon, fresh bun and toppings. Service was prompt and friendly. The staff politely and professionally checked on us several time during our meal. We will definitely return! One thing to note, front of The Grind does not face Combie Road. The front of the cafe and the nice outdoor patio is on the north side of the building, via Armstrong Road.

Want a delicious meal while supporting local businesses? This is the perfect place to go! The owners are very kind, and have amazing service. The food is yummy and the fries are handmade. Will definitely be supporting this newer restaurant!

Mmm... pasta heaven…read more.. After a fun day with my neighbor, we decided we wanted to get something good to eat... and when we are together, we like to go all out. Pasquale's has been at the top of my list for a long time. It's located in downtown Auburn surrounded by other good places to eat and shop. The parking lot is tiny, but there is plenty of street parking available. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating. When we walked in (close to 3), we were in awe of how beautiful it is in here. It was not busy, and we weren't at helped away, but that's ok because we were able to admire how gorgeous it was all around us. You can't help but notice the big cheese wheel in their display case. When I think of my favorite kind of pasta, it involves a cheese wheel... There is a bar top with high top chairs just waiting for you. They offer draft beers, wine and a full bar... but we decided we wanted a booth today. Inside Pasquale's is a brick wall interior with wooden flooring, where booths and tables are set up. It was cozy and very inviting. We barely glanced at the menu and knew right away what we were going to order. Now, I normally do not order anything with alfredo from anywhere... but something told me not to pass it up this time. I ordered the Salmon Fettuccine Alfredo, and Mary ordered the Lobster Ravioli. We also wanted a couple of Expresso Martinis to start. I think we were both starving, so we also ordered garlic bread to come out first. First, the Expresso Martini's arrived. They were in in a stemless martini glasses. They feature the same iconic, V-shaped as traditional martini glasses. I loved the way they were garnished with 3 coffee beans on top. The taste was rich with bold flavors that had a crisp kick of vodka. If I ever have an Expresso Martini from anywhere else, it'll forever be compared to this one. 5/5 Our garlic bread arrived shortly after we started sipping on our Martinis. They had the perfect crunch. The warm butter builds up with every bite to let you know it's there. Not overwhelming, or dripping, but it was just right. The garlic flavor was great 5/5 Mary's Lobster Ravioli was beautiful... the Ravioli was made with striped pasta dough; it looked stunning. The sauce on my Salmon Fettuccine Alfredo was gleaming, and looked so smooth. The salmon looked perfectly seared, seasoned with s&p and garnished with a lemon. slice. We were ready to dig in. My first bite was the delicious noodles... a savory, velvety cream sauce. It was like fireworks were going off. The Alfredo sauce coated every noodle flawlessly. Then I tried the salmon by itself... mmmm! Crispy, flakey, and moist!!! Now together... The contrast between the tender, buttery salmon and the hearty ribbons of pasta creates a spectacular mouthfeel... and the rich, buttery flavor of the fish went perfectly with noodles! Together, it was like the grand finale of a fireworks show on crack in my mouth. 555/5 Mary and I exchanged bites of our dishes. The Lobster Ravioli she ordered was delicious.. also garnished with a lemon slice. It was exactly how I felt like Lobster Ravioli should taste. This was a perfectly balanced dish as well, because it can be so easy to want to pack on the lobster to make a good dish, but then that's how you lose the rest of the flavor of the alfredo sauce and the tender taste of the pasta... but Pasquale's nailed that perfect flavor with the perfect amount of ingredients, getting us to crave the next bite. 555/5 After reading up on the history of Pasquale's, I found out it is owned and operated by Laura McGuire along with her daughter, Sophia. Laura was a former employee at the original Pasquale T's, which was a beloved Auburn staple in the 1980s and 90s. She brought the restaurant back to life in 2023, keeping it a true family-run establishment. If you're craving a rich and comforting meal, the Fettuccine Salmon Alfredo Pasta is my go to... it is one of my ultimate indulgences. Whether you're coming in for lunch or enjoying a romantic date night, Pasquale's Italian Ristorante feels like five-star luxury. It's hearty, comforting, and guaranteed to leave you completely satisfied!

The halibut was perfectly cooked--tender, flaky, and full of flavor--while the risotto was creamy, rich, and complemented the fish beautifully. The balance of textures and flavors made this dish truly memorable and one of the best seafood entrées I've enjoyed in a long time. Friendly staff. Atmosphere is rustic and charming. Smallish menu, no soup, no lasagne, no chicken no fish (maybe that's not the Sicilian way). You should give a discount for paying cash NOT charge an extra fee for credit card. That's a cost of doing business. Over all, regardless of the extra fee, I don't think we'll be back.

My friends ordered gluten free bread and pasta, but they def still had something with gluten in it and it was probably the sauce :( Had the crespelle and it was very good (basically a crepe drenched in sauce). The sauce is creamy but very tangy, almost sour. Would have liked it to be even cheesier inside, but solid dish overall, very soft, good amount of spinach and mushrooms inside, can cut with fork. I wouldn't get it again just because it wasn't a good match for my taste preference (not huge on tangy), but it was good! The saltimbocca alla romana was really good, I would get that one again. Very creamy sauce, the chicken was nice and tender, flavorful and juicy. The polenta was soft but still had a thick almost bready texture, like if you soaked cornbread (but tastes like plain polenta, not like sweet cornbread). If you've never had polenta before, it's sort of a thick grainy oatmeal-like texture. The semifreddo was like if you took tiramisu, added more espresso, and condensed it down into a singular flat slice of cake / bread pudding (soft mushy texture). Delicious sauce, very strong on the whiskey/caramel flavor. Would definitely get that one again. Service was great, and the garlic bread was surprisingly soft and delicious.
