Always enjoy a large platter from Halal Guys. The wait never long, and the food is always good. Love the new addition to the drinks menu, the variety flavor teas.

My review is based on a telephone order (not an actual visit to the restaurant). What can go wrong by feeding Halal guys to a bunch of hungry residents?...Nothing! Halal guys is a great choice as it offers a good amount of food in each plate, and is packed with everything you need to keep you full for the day. Meat, rice, and veggies, can't forget the sweets on the side. This was an order for 45 people delivered to the hospital, and everything went great. The order came with enough food, sauces, and utensils for a smooth "thank you" lunch. Delivery guy was also super nice. Thumbs up!

I Ordered From Here One Evening! Great Service At Check Out. I Haven't Had Anything Like This Since Off The Truck In NY, I Thought. Why, The Heck Not! The Food Was Pretty Good (Pictures Below) I Ordered A Platter & A Falafel Sandwich Which Were Both Great Portion Size. One Thing I Did Noticed (Extra White Sauce Is Gonna Cost You BUDDY) & It Doesn't Come On Top Food. (It's Packets) "Squinting Eyes" (I'm A Old Head) .i.e (Older Generation) Packets! I Thought! How Dare You Tarnish Those Hard Working Halal Food Trucks, On The Avenue White Sauce Squirt Bottle Into A Packet.... #Joking I Thought, Its SIMPLE Things Like That You'll Get Off A Halal Truck In NY...No Boring Artificial White Sauce Packet! Ah Sistah Such As Myself, Is Looking For That White Sauce Squirt Bottle! So I Can Say: Extra White Sauce Please. NOT: How Many Packets Of White Sauce You Need? White Sauce Doesn't Taste Authentic. Taste Just Like Another Packet Sauce With Artificial Flavoring. Food Was Good, Wish I Can Say The Same About That Packet Of White Sauce. I'll Be Back Again I Substituted The White Packet Sauce For "Hummus" When I Arrived Home.

This was my first time ever trying Halal Guys and it was amazing. The service was great and workers were very friendly! There wasn't as much people so it was comfortable. The main part was the food, and it satisfied me will try again!!!!

Gyro platter, I asked for no rice, extra lettuce :-) side of hummus and French fries

I've had Ubereats from here several times. The food is delicious. And they always deliver extras if you order them, and a lot of extras:-) I usually order mine without rice and just extra lettuce with the gyro And I always order extra white sauce:-) yum :-) I like to dip the fries in the white sauce. I've ordered the hummus before, it was pretty dry and pasty, but they're not really known for their hummus... The hot sauce is hot! Lol. Can't wait to eat here again!

Pricy but food is sooooo fresh and good! Got chicken bowl, white sauce and coke for $20.

unlike food cart, they have a restaurant where you can sit and have their famous chicken over rice. typical taste like 53x6 ave one. I was there on Sunday so no crowd at all. ordered peacefully and had my chicken platter. I like it more white sauce and pinch of hot sauce. try it, you would like it. rest was clean. I guess its bit expensive as cart has $7 (not sure). and another thing which I have noticed, the portion is not that big, cart gives you full bowl which is more than sufficient for you but here you have to ask the server to fill more rice. so more price, less portion. the only problem is you have to find parking which is tough in peak hours.

Hubby & I were craving some chicken and rice so I was excited to see this place on Grubhub. The food was pretty good.. white sauce was *chefs kiss*. The hummus was yummy too but they only gave one piece of pita. I will say they were a little skimpy on the meat but otherwise we were satisfied and didn't have to make a trip into the city.

Small Beef Gyro Platter
Ana Paola P.

I had the Gyro beef bowl. It did not have much flavor as I was expecting, specially for their white sauce. It was inconvenient that we only could pay with cash, not sure if that's always the case. Reasonable price and portions. Restaurant's ambiance was decent.

Decent food but the price has nearly doubled and the portions are half the size as a year or two ago.

We shared a lentil soup that was good, though it could have used a squeeze of lemon or something similar to brighten the flavor. The falafel sandwich was delicious, packed with fresh pickles and paired perfectly with a side of baba ghanoush. The chicken shawarma sandwich was also tasty, though it didn't include the same pickles as the falafel. Overall, this was a delicious and authentic spot that I'd definitely visit again if I were in the area.

We got the jebneh, the lentil soup, and the falafel platter with french fries and salad. We started with the jebneh which is basically white pizza. It was pretty mid. I thought the lentil soup would be puréed but it wasn't and it had a ton of onions which I don't particularly care for. This is however a personal preference and not part of why I am giving two stats. The falafel was cooked well but not seasoned well and lacked flavor. The dipping sauce was watery, and could have also offered more flavor. My boyfriend and I went to finish the jebneh and I found a hair in it. Not mine and not my boyfriend's. I called Manouche to let them know and they offered to remake it but honestly the food overall really upset my stomach. My boyfriend also had a stomach ache after the food. The manager who I spoke to about the food was pretty unsympathetic and said she'd double check their processes and that hair was highly unusual. I just didn't love the customer service. Overall, the food even without the hair was mediocre. My boyfriend said the best thing was the root beer he got from there. I don't think we will be going back any time soon.

I originally found this place on Uber eats as I was craving a little something more than just some takeout. Little did I know this would be the biggest gem I could've imagined finding! Alkofeia is a Palestinian operated restaurant (with one Jordanian) in the heart of Bayonne. As it's the middle of Ramadan I decided to go there in person and order myself a very traditional dish called Mansef. The staff were extremely busy and yet they gave me their full attention. It was just past the time to break fast, and they offered me some fresh Arabic coffee and dates to break my fast. As for the location itself, the seating is a bit packed but they will accommodate bigger parties with advanced notice. Also, the aura and atmosphere really takes you away from the city and suddenly you feel as though you are back in the street markets of Palestine with all kinds of art and patriotic memorabilia. If you are looking for delicious, original, and traditional food -- don't waste your time anywhere else.

The two times I've been in, they've brought out samples of thier menu items to try. I've ordered various things on the menu: hummus, lebneh, falafel wraps, falafel platters, baked kibbe platters, the green bean side, etc. All have been amongst the best Lebanese food I've tried. I want to expand and try more things, like the chicken and beef kafta. If you have questions just ask. Certain platters come with different items. Some rice, some salad, etc. Thier pita is fresh and delicious, and comes in different sizes. They have a decent sized dining area for dine-in, and the take-out area is right as you walk in the side door. Here you will also find a grocery area with Lebanese essentials. The selection is sizable, and offers items you won't find in a regular grocery store. I stocked up on spices, and coffee. Prices are reasonable, and portions are generous. I will return every opportunity I get.

We ordered a whole range of things including chicken kebab, chicken gyro, tahini cauliflower,…read morelabneh, and hummus. Everything was delicious, but I'll leave the food writing to the Yelpers with more sophisticated palates than I. (Actually, I take that back--the fresh-baked pita was amazing and I would eat it with/for every meal if I could.) The real reason I wanted to leave a review the service, which went above and beyond. Let me start by saying that Al Basha takeout has a wonderfully efficient order-number-based system for managing the hundreds of orders they get on a daily basis. But if, say, the person who placed the order sent you to pick up the food with the wrong order number, you're going to struggle, and that's not the restaurant's fault. With that prelude and without getting into the details, we'll just say there was a user error issue with my order that led to a mix-up and a very late pick-up. Everyone from the Al Basha staff with whom I interacted could not have handled it any better. They were very apologetic, not because they did anything wrong (to be clear, they didn't), but because they were disappointed our meal hadn't gone well and wanted to fix that. The top priority of the manager with whom I dealt was making sure that my wife--it was Mothers' Day--got the best meal possible, and made sure to send me home with fresh bread and a treat for the moms. It was true hospitality, and greatly appreciated. TLDR version: great food, excellent service, out-of-this-world pita, and make darned sure you have the right order number.

The chicken kebab was dry and the shawarma was a bit too sour for my liking (not sure if they squeezed lemon on it or something). The kofta was okay but nothing spectacular. The filet mignon, was a major let down. My server didn't ask how we'd like it cooked, which is medium rare for my family. It came back well done. He said everyone usually prefers it to be well done, but I think that's a mistake that shouldn't be made and preference should always be asked, especially with steak. We asked for it to be swapped, and it still came back well done. When we let them know again, they brought it back a little on the rare side, which is fine for my family, but had it been another family, not so sure. I'm sure they have hundreds of orders for the char grilled meets, so I'm a little confused on why the technique has not already been established My favorite dish had to be the makanik - which is pan seared lamb sausages finished with sweet and tangy pomegranate molasses. I usually don't like lamb because of the gamey flavor but these sausages didn't have that. I didn't taste much of the pomegranate molasses. The arugula & beet salad would've been good if the pomegranate molasses vinaigrette was less sweet. The stuffed grape leaves were also a bit too sour. The lemon was just taking over the entire flavor profile. I didn't really taste the tomato or parsley. The falafel platter was good but nothing different than other falafels that I've had. The mint lemonade was so refreshing. Almost everyone in the restaurant had one and I understand why. The mint is not overpowering I had high expectations because I've seen this place on instagram but I'm afraid they were not met. Service was good, but the food definitely needs some work. There's valet parking, which i recommend because it's hard to find street parking
