I was very surprised to find this place in Harlem! Ordering was easy through their app. We got the stewed pork bao slider, fried pork and chive dumplings, traditional beef stir fry noodles, and dapan zhu. Everything was very flavorful and delicious. The only things missing were that there wasn't any sauce for the bao sliders, and we weren't sure if the dapan zhu was supposed to have broth because by the time we got home there was no broth. The Noodle is my go-to spot for a warm bowl of comforting carb-y goodness!! Their Spicy Cumin Lamb with the #2 style noodle and the ginger chicken noodle soup are my personal favorites. The Lamb is perfectly seasoned, not drenched in oil and the noodles somehow keep that beautiful chewy texture even when delivered. Their prices are reasonable, delivery is fast and efficient and the food is packed immaculately. Really was expecting a lot more. I typically love Asian inspired noodle dishes like pad Thai, lo-main, drunken noodles, and ramen, so I thought this would have some of the bold flavor and spices this style of food usually does. Unfortunately, I couldn't find that here with the Traditional Style noodles. Overall the noodles were bland, and I really couldn't even tell you what the stand out flavor was. They have a disclaimer on their site claiming that their spicyness is more than usual, but I ended up adding sriracha just to get some sort of spice in there. There was definitely a lack of salt. I did like the sauce for the scallion pancake though, which i was able to enjoy. This spot gets credit though for their fast prep time, and good packaging. I really like this place. The food is good, always hot (I live close by), and they give you large portions. I have only tried a few menu items but like most everything I have ordered. My one complaint is the consistency in the flavoring. I usually order the Cumin Chicken Noodles in medium hot. The spice level is usually correct, but the actual seasoning of the chicken/noodles can be inconsistent, which is kind of annoying. read more

Great noodle shop! We aren't near any Xian famous foods here in harlem, found The Noodle had similar foods, ordered online, it came really quickly and tasted delicious! Tons of selection of types of noodles which is awesome. Portions are also deceivingly big. Would recommend spicy cumin lamb noodles (duh) but also the herbal beef soup noodles if you want good 'ol beef noodle soup/niuroumian. Beef was tender, noodles soft and chewy, soup flavorful and rich. They really pack the containers so you may need a separate larger bowl to pour the noodles out onto and mix (for the cumin lamb that is, the noodle soups you don't need to). I have been craving noodles through quarantine and was so excited when The Noodle opened! Their hand pulled noodles do not disappoint with any of the several preparation styles. They do get a little soft after sitting so long with delivery, but hopefully that's a kink that will soon be worked out. I'm vegetarian, and it's awesome that they have options for me (though I do with those options were a little clearer when you order directly from their website - which you should definitely do so this awesome small business makes as much as possible). Possibly even better than the noodles (if that's possible) are the wontons and dumplings. I've tried the veggie version of both and it's hard to say which is more delicious! read more

SO GOOD. I used to live right near The Handpulled Noodle in Hamilton Heights and I would order ALL. THE. TIME. It is the place I took every visitor and has some of my favorite dishes of all time. Honestly, the proximity to Handpulled and my BFF were the only reasons I was conflicted about moving in with my boyfriend into a new neighborhood. I did it anyway and guess what? I am a huge fan of the hand pulled noodle on Broadway and thought this would be comparable. I was so happy to see they opened up in walking distance of my apartment. We went there and I got the dapan ji and scallion pancake and unfortunately it was not tasty. They loaded the noodles were too much sauce. The noodles were a bit too slimy and the pancake had no flavor. Super disappointed as Harlem needs a good noodle place but this is not the one. The Noodle is simply my favorite local restaurant in Harlem. In an area that is somewhat overrun with fast food, The Noodle provides a welcome alternative that is tasty, fresh and yes, fast. I'm especially a fan of the scallion pancakes which are huge and delicious and the pancake sauce is exceptional. The noodles are fragrant (scallions galore) and filling (I prefer the hand-pulled) and the dumplings are a nice choice too. Generally, both the noodles and pancakes are so plentiful, you can get two meals out of them which is great as someone who works from home. Finally, the food is always available in less time than the estimate says and is ready and waiting for me when I go to pick it up, another godsend during a busy work day. Very recommended! read more

SO excited to have The Noodle in the neighborhood. Everything tastes homemade with love, with so much depth of flavor. The dumplings literally make me close my eyes just to savor the taste. And the hand pulled noodles are exactly what my carby dreams are made of. The servings are plentiful and usually leave me with enough for lunch the next day, which is a big plus for me. The good: the Spicy Cumin Lamb Noodles were delicious. The portion is generous: 1 dish = 2 servings. The bad: the website to order online is buggy. It asked for my address but then said "undefined" every time I typed it in. That's a JavaScript error. As a workaround, I clicked the "use my location" icon, which selected the building across the street. I continued with my order and entered my correct address, but the delivery guy brought the food to the wrong address. Please fix that website! (Using an iPad.) I requested no cilantro, no plastic utensils, but I got cilantro and plastic utensils. I ordered "Low Spice," but next time I'll ask for more. Super tasty! I think the noodles (even though it was not in soup) were too bloated. Compared to Xi'an's (famous foods), pretty disappointing. BUT since there's no Xi'ans nearby this is passable. This place has a delicious spicy cumin lamb stir fry . Which makes it even more saddening to have to write this kind of review. I went in to order the meal mentioned above and while I waited I faced the kitchen, its door happened to be open. Inside there were two gentleman preparing food with masks pulled down below their noses. I stared at them for a few minutes to be sure and then notified the cashier. He apologized and stuck his head in the kitchen to tell them. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure it's difficult to cook with a mask on. But we are many months into a deadly pandemic, for me there's just no excuse for something like this to happen at a place that is selling food for other people to eat. I was really disappointed. One of our favorite spots for delivery to East Harlem. So many vegetarian options - the seitan is delicious - quick delivery, huge portions. Our favorite is the traditional, northwestern style, with hand pulled noodles and seitan (high spicy). Spicy cumin flavor is also great. The veggie broth is flavorful (but a bit salty). Note that the seitan options MAY be less spicy than the chicken; a friend had the chicken curry stir fry while I had the seitan (same style, and both in 'high' spice), and he said the chicken was almost too hot to eat -- much hotter than the seitan. Overall, though, delicious, fast, big portions, and great menu. A favorite! read more
