really yummy chinese food but such a rip off the service was lovely. our waiter brought us free shots (twice lol). place was empty at 7pm on a friday night. DJ started spinning beats as we were leaving so maybe it's more of a late night joint? not sure. martini was yummy. wish it was more affordable so i could go back for those noooods and chicken

Wanted to visit for happy hour? The server was not ready and couldn't handle the volume of us 3 people coming in together. She was not friendly and yelled over to us let me handle these drinks then I will do the food. We frequent this location. Edwin is attentive and knows how to handle the fast pace. When told the manager, he fixed the problem. The food came out and drinks were made properly and everything was ok.

My homegirl and I decided to have dinner in NYC. I have the BucketListers app on my phone. Checked out some places to dine in NYC and discovered that Philippe Chow was doing a Dining Experience. Very pricey but worth it in the end Moët & Satay -- 4 Course Luxe Dining Experience -- 1 Bottle Of Moët & Chandon Champagne For Every 2 Guests -- Two Courses Of Our Most Popular Appetizers For The Table -- One Entrée Per Guest -- Chefs Selection Of Desserts For The Table Paradise Bay -- Blue Chair Bay Banana Rum, peach schnapps, pineapple, grenadine Porn Star Martini -- Vanilla-Infused Tito's Vodka, passion fruit, lime First Course All Items Served For The Table -- Chicken Satay -- Duck Spring Rolls -- Steamed Edamame Second Course | All Items Served For The Table -- Chicken Lettuce Wraps -- Vegetable Lo Mein -- Steamed Dumpling Sampler (2 Shrimp | 2 Chicken | 2 Vegetable) Choice of Entree -- Maine Lobster: ginger scallion sauce -- Nine Seasons Spicy Prawns: wok fried; sweet and sour spicy sauce, dried red pepper Desserts All Items Served For The Table -- Red Velvet Cake + Moët Macaroons I arrived before my homegirl and although the ticket was timed, there was no rush towards me and my homegirl with regard to dining. Everyone was super friendly and service was impeccable. A + service from everyone. The meal was superb. Everything was tasty and it was a lot of food. We loved everything (except the Steamed Dumplings -- it was just something about the texture) and ended up having to take most of it home b| c it was A LOT!! My favorites from the Menu: -- Chicken Satay, Duck Spring Rolls, Vegetable Lo Mein, and of course the desserts. I do wish that our macaroons were like the ones given during the DC experience (A LOT BIGGER and stamped!!) The restaurant was not crowded during our dining experience and there was a nice amount of lighting. Very easy for my homegirl and I to maintain conversation without too much ambient noise. Would definitely return around the same time. The drinks were fire and the Champagne was even more lovely. Our waiter checked in with us from time to time and kept our glasses filled. My homegirl and I had a wonderful time. Oh and those steps are dangerous to a drunk person upon leaving, lol!!

Keisha was amazing, she's the best bartender in NYC. All of her food recommendations were great and her drinks were top tier. Sad that she only works Thursdays but I will return to see her soon.

Purchased the Bucket Listers "Moet & satay" 4 course luxe dining experience for $220 for (every) two people. It specifies up front all that is included (see photos) in the price except NYS tax and automatic 20% gratuity and any additional purchases of course. I booked it for Monday night 7:30-9pm, but I think we were there beyond that time and we weren't rushed (maybe if it was busier). The experience includes a bottle of Moet but if you don't like champagne, they'll give you 2 cocktails per person instead. Had a really good dining experience. Our server was Juan Pablo S, and he was pretty good. Attentive and friendly. We didn't have to remind him of anything except ice every time lol. The ambiance in here is very cute and modern. I mean it's Philipe Chow so it's expected. The reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is because of the way they do the bill, which I believe they do to increase the amount the 20% gratuity is charged on. For example, the bottle of Moët is already included in the $220 I paid for the experience in advance, yet, they listed it on the bill and included it in the 20% gratuity calculation. Also, for our entrees, we picked items that included an up charge: I had the Maine lobster, she had the Chilean sea bass. On the "Moet & satay" menu, it lists the lobster up charge as +$45 and the sea bass as +$8, yet, they charged us the full price for both items on the bill, $105 for the lobster and $68 for the sea bass. Obviously, that inflates the amount that the 20% gratuity is charged on. I enjoyed the 4 course dining experience. The first 2 courses includes 3 items each. All the food included in the experience was delicious and good portions. Everything came out nicely paced and was hot and fresh. There's also a good variety to choose from for the entree options without the up charge if you don't want to spend extra. We also ordered some extra cocktails which ran $24 a piece but they were both really good and worth the price. Definitely a cute experience for a date night, special occasion, or just a girls night out.

This was one of the restaurants I was looking forward to visiting and as much as I hate to say it, this was the one I was most disappointed in. Haven't visited a Philippe Chow since they closed in my city, and I enjoy the fact that his food is a variation of Mr. Chow's but at a better price point. From what I ate tonight, the portions are larger as well which is a plus, and steamed rice also comes with some of the entrees where you'd be paying $14+ for this at other restaurants. However it was the service here that was lacking. Being at the bar, initially I was the only one besides a couple further down, and it appeared as though one bartender was working, which I understand can be tough for just one to serve patrons at the bar as well as the rest of the restaurant even though it was a quiet Monday. I was greeted within a decent amount of time, asking if I could eat dinner at the bar and was told yes. I thought she was going to grab a menu but I was left sitting there for a lot longer than I should have been. Going back to ask the hostess for a menu, she actually asked, 'you didn't get one?', then apologized and handed one over. By the time the bartender came back, I knew what I wanted and I let her know I was trying to decide between an appetizer or dessert. I ended up adding on the appetizer, which of course came out later than my dinner but no big deal since I ordered it after the fact. She did check in and refilled water so I felt things were improving. Food was pretty enjoyable; the Beijing chicken was larger cut than what I'm used to at Mr. Chow, but hey, more food. The appetizer of scallion pancakes were really good; a little greasy but delicious. The clear sweet and sour sauce was also a perfect addition. When she checked in with me once I was done, I told her I would not be going with the dessert since I was too full. A few minutes later, the dessert is presented to me. Exasperated, I told the food runner I didn't even order this (I was deciding BETWEEN this and the appetizer as stated above) and then she rushed over, asking if I wanted the dessert. I thought it was understood that I didn't want this only minutes prior, but evidently not. Seeing 20% added on automatically regardless of party size isn't surprising-even for a smaller party-and there is also an option to add additional which I chose not to do on this visit. Although pleased to say she wasn't rude by any means-maybe she was new-the lack of communication was frustrating and I witnessed this also with the patrons sitting on the other side of me who arrived later, and still left before me. I wish my only complaint here was that there was too much good food that I could not finish, but I'd be lying. However, I am absolutely willing to hold out since I would love to try their Fifth Avenue location when they Finally open (I received an email earlier this year saying 'fall opening', but I guess the opening of Nashville overshadowed this), hoping the experience will improve immensely since the food was is worth repeating.

I visited during Restaurant week so I was able to get a lot of options for a great price. My favorites were the vegetable Lo mein and the salt and pepper calamari. The vibes were nice. They had great music playing. It's definitely a cute birthday spot. The service is quick and the food comes out fresh.

Went here for my birthday. It was great. Got this restaurant from Real Housewives of NYC. Would definitely recommend. Service was great. And the inside is small but intimate. Food was great

First time here for my friend and I. The atmosphere was ok and the service was ok. We ordered a lot of food but in the middle of ordering the waiter was like "that's enough food." He could've stated in a better way like "the dishes are served family style so these are large portions." And the food was not what we expected. The famous chicken satay skewers are fried. This would be disappointing for someone who's expecting a healthy grilled chicken. The sauce on top was also not balanced.. sweet and earthy was the only thing I was getting. The pork soup dumplings were good. The veggie fried rice tasted greasy and had an odd aroma to it. As if you can taste the previous dishes of whatever the rice was cooked on. The spicy lobster noodles were good but needed salt/soy sauce in my opinion but I still enjoyed it. The bok choy was tooooooo garlicky and not seasoned at all. That garlic was definitely added to the dish raw and it lingered the rest of the night.

Rarely do you walk into a place and leave feeling this blown away. So many restaurants leave me disappointed, but tonight was the complete opposite--it was unforgettable. I'm genuinely shocked at how incredible the entire experience was, from the warm, attentive service to the absolutely delicious food. We're staying upstairs and stopped in for dinner before celebrating my beautiful friend's birthday, and I'm so glad we did. Everything was spectacular. A huge shoutout to Daniel Ramirez--he went above and beyond to make the night feel special. He made my friend feel celebrated, treated us with genuine care, and even surprised us with shots. I left feeling not just happy, but ecstatic. If you're looking for the perfect spot to celebrate a birthday (or any special occasion), this is the place.

We dined here on a Saturday evening around 7:30pm. This restaurant is beautiful inside; linen table cloths, fine dinnerware, beautiful chop sticks and cute little porcelain holders to rest them upon. They have an extensive menu and have an attentive front of house and wait staff. We ordered dishes to share among the four of us dining. We had the Chicken Satay, Shrimp appetizer, Sweet and Sour Chicken, Chicken Fried Rice, Pork Egg Rolls and the Peking Duck for 4. We knew the Peking Duck takes about 90 minutes so we were prepared to stretch our meal over a two hour time period. Unfortunately most everything came out in the first 30 minutes and we found ourselves sitting and waiting for the Duck to arrive. About 2 hours in the whole duck arrived and was presented at our table, however, then it was taken back to be carved and for some reason, that took another 30 minutes before it was severed at our table. The $120 dish came with 2 Bau Buns and 4 wraps for the table. We should have asked for more but after 2.5 hours we were tired of waiting. The food was good, it wasn't great. When the bill came, they already added a 20% tip. I questioned the server about that given we were a party of four and he mumbled something about that's how they do it, but would be happy to adjust it if I wanted. I wanted to get out and not wait on them anymore. One and done for me at this place.

Sangria and res velvet! Sooo good!

Got off the E train and when we looked for Chinese food, this place popped up with good reviews and it was just a short walk from where we got off the train. My buddies ordered the special lunches and we also got two types of xlb's, beef chow fun, and some fried dumplings. The special lunches come with a little fried rice, cold garlic flavored noodle, choice of egg drop or hot and sour soup, and main side. My buddies all enjoyed their meals. The beef chow fun was also really good and beef was nice and tender. The xiao long baos were excellent and is comparable to any place in California like DTF. Nice and juicy and great with some ginger, soy sauce, and spicy chili. Friendly service and food comes out pretty quickly. Credit card is accepted. Bathroom was also very clean, which is sometimes rare in some Chinese restaurants I have been to. If you're looking for a good Chinese meal, stop here when you're in the Chelsea area.

"How 'bout there?" he responded pointing to Excellent Dumpling House. It was directly across the street. I pulled up Yelp, saw good reviews and readily agreed. At 3:30, the restaurant was empty. There were a few takeout orders, but we were the only people sitting down for late lunch. And y'know ... it was pretty good. Wonton soup is what I'd expect in Chinatown. Wonton wrappers were thin -- my preference -- the stuffing delicious and the broth flavorful. They were generous with the beef in our chow fun. Good, but the noodles needed a jolt. So I asked for soy sauce which was sort of a solution. Shrimp with vegetables was great. A lot of shrimp, too. There are lunchtime specials on weekdays, reasonable prices, and nice people work there. Next time it makes sense to try dumplings since it is, after all a dumpling house.

Located within the historic Chelsea Market building--a former Nabisco factory where Oreo cookies were first produced--the restaurant feels theatrical in the best possible way. The soaring ceilings, dramatic lighting, and energetic atmosphere create a sense of occasion from the moment you walk in. It feels less like simply going out to dinner and more like stepping into a beautifully staged production. I started with a Botanist Gin Martini with a twist, which paired wonderfully with the meal. The surprise star of the evening was the new Cucumber Tiger Salad. The balance of flavors was exceptional: bright acidity, a pleasant touch of heat, and just enough mint to make each bite feel fresh and exciting. Every so often the mint would come through and suddenly all the flavors would click together in a way that made me immediately want another bite. This is a dish I would happily order again. Next came the Edamame Dumplings. They were delicate and comforting, especially when enjoyed with the accompanying broth. The broth adds depth and richness that elevates the entire dish. My only suggestion would be the slightest touch more salt, perhaps even a finishing sprinkle of black volcanic salt for both flavor and presentation. I also found myself wishing there were a bit more of that delicious broth because it contributes so much to the overall experience. For my entrée, I ordered the Glazed Alaskan Black Cod, and it absolutely lived up to its reputation. The fish was rich, buttery, and perfectly prepared. What impressed me most was how thoughtfully the accompaniments were composed. The pickled cucumbers brought brightness, acidity, and crunch, while the black bean and eggplant relish delivered deep savory notes and unexpected complexity. I'm generally not an eggplant fan, but this relish was outstanding. The cucumbers and relish sit at opposite ends of the flavor spectrum, yet both somehow make the cod even better. Looking back, I think a glass of Sauvignon Blanc alongside the cod would have been the perfect pairing. I finished with the Miso Caramel Milk Bar, which was spectacular. Decadent, sweet, salty, and touched with just enough umami to keep every bite interesting. The chocolate crumble underneath added a wonderful crunch that contrasted beautifully with the creamy ice cream and luscious caramel sauce. Every component worked together perfectly, creating a dessert that was both indulgent and sophisticated. From start to finish, the meal felt polished, thoughtful, and memorable. Thank you!
