Horrible service. Waited forever just for our waters. Had to ask a few times to get water. Avocado bowl was literally dry rice, mashed avocado and tuna. No sauce, seasoning, or vegetables. Waited 10 to 20 minutes just to get the check. The check came with no pen to sign the check. Our waiter completely disappeared without saying a word. Didn't apologize for the experience and seemed to have an attitude. Would never eat here again. read more

Great place to chill and drink a beer or eat some grub. They have a bunch of beer choices and a lot of stouts one nitro which are my favorite. Don't worry IPA sluts, they got a great selection of those too. I ordered the steak and fries and it was delicious. The place can get busy but clears out fast so you can get a table. read more

Although I'm not a person who drinks much alcohol, I do enjoy good food. I have eaten here a few times since they've opened. The Cauliflower Nachos $7, the PUB Burger with fries $12, were delicious. The Smashed California Avocado Toast $7 was different and flavorful, but not as filling as the Cauliflower Nachos for the same price. I haven't tried any of the other items on the menu, but I plan to do so when I return. Sheila, one of their team members who works at The Hangar Bar and Grill, is very nice, provides excellent customer service, and always has a smile on her face. It's definitely worth a visit. This place is located in Whole Foods. There wasn't anyone at the front, so it was a bit confusing as to whether you're supposed to seat yourself or wait to be seated. We sat ourselves and after a bit, the friendly waiter came by. I was drawn to this place because the description of the food sounded tasty. We ordered a rainbow roll, porcini cutlet & farro risotto, and a beast burger. The rainbow roll was some of the worst sushi I ever had. The rice tasted gummy, as if the roll was sitting in a fridge all day. It tasted like the tray of California rolls from Costco. Just yuck, worse than grocery store sushi, and you just get 4 little pieces. The fish didn't taste like much and even the ginger tasted off. My risotto dish was sooooo bland. The cutlet tasted like fried nothing. The farro didn't taste risotto-y at all. The bok choy was too salty. Ugh, the whole meal was so disappointing! I was wishing that we ate at the sandwich place that was next to this one. My husband said his burger was okay. And his fries were good. The waiter was nice, the decor and beer selection was good, but I don't think I'll ever try this place again. I don't remember the last time I was so disappointed with the food. So sad. read more

So my wife and I have been coming to this bar ever since they opened. Food is good, drinks are good and organic! Pub burger is bomb and their cauliflower nachos are very good, but is sometimes a hit or miss. Ordered the beet salad with a side of Marie's chicken breast and was utterly disappointed. The salad was extremely bland and the chicken was COMPLETELY burnt. Still can't take the bitter taste out of my mouth. I let the bartender know and she got me another side of chicken and this time it was 50% burnt instead of completely. The reason I gave two stars is because the bartender was very nice and tried to take care of me which I appreciated. Definitely will not be coming back. read more

Today is 08/23/2018. I went to Whole Foods to buy some items and decided to go to the Hangar Bar after my shopping. I went to buy some pizza slices and get some beers to get cooled down for the rest of my day before going home. It was 2 pm and I paid for my items and then headed to the bar to finish my day happily. There, a smiley girl greeted me and I asked her for a sample of the Stone IPA and I got it as quickly as possible. I ordered a glass and I ate my pizza with my beer. The young smiley girl gave me the bill in a copper plated cup. Suddenly another server her name is Marissa showed up and she gave me the chills. I guess it is intuition in action and I felt she was a crook. I was away to know how right I was. Acting as any other honest American; I finished my food and drink; I looked at the bill which was $7.54 and placed a $20 bill in the cooper plated cup in expectancy of getting my change to decide how much I would be giving for tip for the service. The crook, her name Marissa, quickly picked it up and went to the register and did not get back to me with the change. I decided to give some time before requesting my change. Well, I would probably be there right now waiting for the change because that crook already put the money in her pocket as I noticed; they do it every time customers pay for their tips. The crook played dumb until I decided to take actions into my hands. I called the smiley girl and requested my change. She quickly apologized for it and pretended to review the register and then went to her place and got my change back to me. I left her a dollar as a sign that I am not a crook as they are. As conclusion to this story; I believe these servers work in teams to see if there are stupids willing to let them get away with their crimes. NOT ME. They don't deserve a half star for the extremely poor service provided to me. read more

Not to be confused with the Hangar24 Brewery.. this place actually has no affiliation with them, their name is inspired by the two landmark MCAS hangars in the area. This bar and Mendocino Farms are great new additions to Whole Foods Market, there's a two page long list of beer selections, every variety of beer you fancy, they've even got some sours on tap. Lots of familiar local breweries on the list, very nice! Pints are priced around $7-$9 each beer and they do have a $5 HH deal on weekdays 4-6PM, BUT only applicable to beers with a "SALE" sign. I usually love shopping at whole foods. However, the hanger bar sucks.. I asked the waitress what she recommended for happy hour and she gave me this answer like get chips and guacamole. I asked her what the chimicharan was on the happy hour menu and she basically told me it was a chill so I'm asked her to confirm and she went back to the kitchen to ask and when she came back she basically said what would you like to order. I had to ask the bartender what that was. Either way, if she didn't know all she had to say was sorry I don't know.. anyway, I ended up paying over &12.00 for just chips and guacamole. This is a great new addition to this Whole Foods...been here for about a year now. There is a separate food & beer & booze menu...and lots to choose from on both. I actually didn't have a meal here myself...my friend joined me as I bought my food from the grocery food bar side, but I did taste his meal and it was damn good! There are meat & meatless options, lots of good sides & salads too. My friend ordered the beyond meatless burger. Now I am a meat eater...always have been, always will be...but this burger patty did actually taste like a type of meat...I was very surprised! I have tasted my leaning towards vegan friends meatless meals before, but this was the best tasting meatless burger he's had! I can't say that it was like beef, or chicken...it did have a meat flavor, but it was kinda like it's own category of meat...and a very good tasting one! The French fries here are excellent...perfectly crispy & salted. I love a place with good French fries! Usually if the fries aren't really good, I will not care to go back. So this place had me almost wanting to throw out my already purchased food & order something from this menu...lol! I will be coming back to try more than a few things from here...and soon! read more

The order was delivered wrong and the service staff offered to not really resolve the issue satisfactorily. We seemed to be a bother, had to go to the bar to refill my own water glass, etc. A waiter wouldn't even come to my table to take my order, told me I had to order and pay upfront at the bar area. After I insisted that I not pay for the burger that was not prepared correctly since I was not going to eat it, I did get the refund but had to wait so they could get help to figure it out.  Disappointing as I had talked the group into coming here. I'm a Whole Foods regular. I go to Whole Foods about 3-4 times a week maybe more. And the one in tustin has this bar. Super cool and convenient. Fridays has a live DJ. Also cool. The only thing that sucks is if it's super hard to get a drink from the girls that work there. It's not that busy at the bar. You can see down the end and it's fully lit but I'd have to chase a girl down from one end and she turns around to go to the other end and I go back and she turns around to go back to the other end. So I wait but she'll hang out at that end talking. Sometimes I'll ask for a drink menu. She'll give me one but will never come back. I stood there for a good 7 mins until the other girl comes back. This bar is in Whole Foods. We had some time to kill and thought we'd grab a glass of red wine. Price per glass ranged from $6 to $20 with most being in the mid-teens. The two we tried were unexciting. The bar was dirty and no one cleaned it. The noise level was high. Every time someone went in or out of Whole Foods we'd be hit with a gust of wind.
