I thought the fries would be small, but I was wrong...it took 3 people to finish it over a period of 2-3 (to be fair we brought it as a snack to a movie after I took it to-go). So, wasn't impressed the first time around as I thought the Pastrami dip was dry and regretted not getting mustard on the side. This time I asked for au jus on the side and made all the difference. The bread was fresh, pastrami tender and flavorful, the pickles and mustard popped, and the au jus on the side really added to the experience. This sandwich is huge .. they start with a white soft roll stuff it full of pastrami, yellow mustard, pickles. Heaven! You pull to this location and think "dang, this line is packed". Well fret not, because it goes by rather quickly. The employees were kind, and straight to the point. They made everything smooth and fast. We ordered onion rings, 2 OG pastrami sandwiches, and 1 pastrami burger. Boy oh boy have I waited way too long to return to the hat. The Pastrami was super fresh, the onion rings fresh out of the fryer, and the burger topped with loads of pastrami! Always a treat when we come to the hat. Here's a tip. The large orders of the sides are VERY LARGE, should be extra large. The small orders compared, are about Medium-Large size portions. 3 of us shared 1 small order of onion rings and still had a few leftover. But in flavor it was very bland. *Because the portion size was so large for the fries, I saved some for the next day. They definitely tasted better the next day compared to the first. * 3. Pink Lemonade with good. 4. Overpriced. I would have expected to pay $20 for all this food not $30 Overall this was a very anticlimactic food experience. Nothing had tru flavor. The staff at The Hat always prepare everything so quick and the service is straight forward. I came for a visit during the COVID-19 pandemic. The second I parked my car, I saw that almost NO ONE was wearing a mask inside of the restaurant! Immediately, I decided that the drive-thru was the better decision during these times. Although The Hat offers dine in now, please keep in mind that many customers choose too not protect themselves. The drive thru is very fast and efficient.
