Went here for brunch on a girl's weekend and was the perfect spot!! If it's nice out, opt for the rooftop - they have heaters for the cold, fans for the heat, and it has a retractable top so when it inevitably started to sprinkle towards the end of our meal, they were able to cover it up which was a nice save. Ambiance is giving Ralph Lauren store. Elegant yet still trendy and comfortable. Service was great. I recommend making a reservation especially if you have a group. Menu has a lot to offer! We started with Avocado toast (which was yum) and my friend got tea - they brought out a teapot and all of the accoutrements, it was so cute and had great flavor. For main, I ordered Eggs Benedict, and it was one of the best eggs benny I've had - no frills, just good flavor & execution. My friends ordered the 2 Egg Breakfast and the Quiche. We were all very pleased with everything!! I've been to the Dallas location once and enjoyed the food here much more. I would return for any meal! This is a great spot in the middle of the 12 South area and recommend to any group whether for food or just a bevvy. TL;DR: I sh¡t my pants Man, I was so excited about the menu that I gave my server carte blanche to choose for me between the short rib entree and the sea scallops. I have never been so disappointed in my life. I got a big plate of scallops with brussels sprouts and the whole thing tasted like ammonia. I finally googled "why do my scallops taste like ammonia" and apparently that is the sign that they are spoiled. So I ate an entire plate of spoiled shellfish and I paid $35 for it. The server never asked me how it tasted or if I was satisfied, she just left the check. So that made me wonder if I was sloughed off a plate of spoiled scallops on purpose? Because I gave her the option of choosing my entrée and they would rather charge me for spoiled food? read more

My dining experience at the Henry was just okay and for the price, it should be more than okay. Let's start with the good. The brussel sprouts were 10/10. The Mac and cheese was like a 4/10. I didn't expect it to be good, my friend ordered it and we both agreed we could have done without. Our drinks were pretty good as well. I got the scallop dish and while they were cooked perfectly, the puree underneath was so nasty. The flavors just didn't go together. I ended up using whatever sauce they gave my friend to make it edible. The service was decent, not memorable. The best thing going is the ambience, it's super fancy and nicely decorated. I doubt I would return, there are just too many restaurants that serve better food to justify returning. read more

Loved our waitress & she was so sweet & accommodating, but this was my 4th time to the restaurant & it was a heat index of 100 & they wouldn't close the doors. We had to ask if they could turn the air down. Lots of people were fanning themselves & there were flies & mosquitoes all over our food & they still wouldn't close the doors... The food was amazing, had a small mishap but they immediately remedied the situation. Amanda was our server, she was well informed, on top of service and kind. With the mishap the manager, Nichole handled the situation with grace and like a boss. I had the honey hot chicken, 10/10 recommend. Likely the best hot chicken sandwich I've ever had. I added pickles with mine which I would also recommend. My wife had the turkey dip and it was heavy in a good way. All of the flavors on the sandwich were a great enhancement of the other flavors. The atmosphere is on the moodier side of life. We chose to be downstairs where for lunch they do not serve alcohol and it is more of a casual feel. We loved The Henry in San Diego so we had to have it when we saw there was one in Nashville. We went for breakfast downstairs as the upstairs didn't open until brunch. The coffee is just so good. Can't really go wrong. We got both the egg sandwich and the flower child special. Flower child was very good, but man - that egg sandwich was maybe the best egg sandwich I have had. And you can't forget the breakfast potatoes that come with the meals. So good - includes sauteed onions which is my fave. Parking is expensive - but don't pay before you come inside. They will let you scan their QR code for parking making it free for one hour, then flat rate for rest of day if youre staying in area. read more

We tried The Henry last night for date night. After some initial issues with getting a server once seated and a mix up on my drink, the manager and server more than made up for it. The ambience is fun, the drinks are good, and the food was spectacular. For the appetizer, we had the guacamole and the truffle fries, both very tasty. For our entrees, we tried the skirt steak and the rotisserie chicken. Both were perfectly cooked and had great flavor. For dessert, we tried the butter cake (at the recommendation of the manager). Oh my goodness- that cake is out of this world! My husband felt that this was tied with Yolan for the best meal he has eaten since moving to Nashville. We will definitely be returning. read more

I was picking up some clothes across the street on 12th Ave. I saw they had just opened up The Henry. The first thing that came to mind was this the same place located in Coronado, turns out it is. Popped in to see if we could get a seat it looked busy and we had no reservation, the hostess was super friendly and said that she could fit us in, but it would be about 30 minutes (took a little longer approximately 45). We got a great seat out on the covered enclosed patio area. seating was a bit tight but really a great environment. Next, Amazing service, I wish I would've got the individuals name. He did a great job of explaining the dishes. Just overall very friendly and welcoming. We started off with the oysters, crabcake and the pretzels. All of them fantastic!! We moved onto our entrées, the fillet, fish, tacos, rigatoni, and sushi. We were all super impressed (other than the sushi, that was probably the only dish that we didn't care for). We finished off the meal with a couple different coffees, teas and molten butter cake. All top-notch. I was super impressed with the hospitality of the staff, as well as the management assisting. You could tell they were still getting their sea legs but overall they did an amazing job. For this price point and level of service we received, it most definitely will be on our monthly rotation. I personally don't drink, but my wife said that signature cocktails were fantastic. read more

We enjoy the Sam Fox restaurants as we moved to Nashville from Arizona and are frequent diners of his brand. What ruined our experience is how LOUD the music is at brunch/lunch. I understand maybe for a Friday or Saturday night, but not during lunch and brunch. We had to scream to talk to one another! Very frustrating and not enjoyable!! Could management please turn DOWN the music on the patio to a reasonable level for daytime diners?!! We purposely ask for the patio because the noise level is so loud in the restaurant, but today it was like a disco bar on the patio. Horrible! read more

We had a reservation for 6 people at 2:45, and after being seated, we weren't even greeted for about 25 minutes after we flagged someone down. The wait for our first drinks was absurd -- it didn't arrive until 3:40, and that's not an exaggeration. The service was painfully slow and inattentive, which completely ruined what should have been a special occasion.
