The kitchen stopped serving food at 10pm which I wish we had been told when we came in because I tried to order fries at 10:04 and was told I couldn't. Which I understand I just wish I had known. Eric is incredibly knowledgable about wine, made the entire experience both educational and fun. Even the girls in the group who don't really drink wine ended up having a great time and created a wine blend that they truly enjoyed! Plenty of wine to taste and enjoy while you are creating your personal blend. You leave the class with a custom made bottle that you created with a personalized label that you designed (need to send the label design a few days before your class and they have it printed and ready for your bottle the day of the class). Go early and enjoy the beautiful hotel and art gallery before your class begins. This is a must do experience if you are in Charleston, you won't regret it.

We ended up on a white wine, and for the price, we were not impressed. (I should say that I am in no way a wine snob but know what I like). We had ordered the burrata and when it came out we were in awe, because what was on the plate was not in fact burrata. By the time the waitress dropped it off, she was gone quicker than we could inquire why mozzarella was on our plate. Eventually she came back and when we told her that it was not in fact burrata, she went back and spoke with the kitchen and came back and told us they ran out of burrata and just replaced it with mozzarella. (Making it seem like they just wanted to get away with it and were hopeful we would not notice). In the end, with the food mishaps, lack of choices, and very poor service; this was the big disappointment of our trip.

They have a great selection of wines at prices for all budgets that are great quality. The atmosphere is dark and casual (but you can absolutely dress up too!). The win tasting is $10 per person and I was able to sample five different wines. All are available for purchase and you'll get the $10 tasting fee removed if you purchase a bottle. They do offer light bites but this is not a dinner spot. Overall a great experience and I'd love to go back!
