This Home Depot location is the closest to my home and I've always been able to find what I need whenever I come. I really appreciate that the website tells me what aisle and bay and item is in and when I go inside to locate it, it's correct. Plenty of self check out lanes always available so I'm in and out every time. My hack for this location is park on the side of the building closest to where the old Fry's used to be because the lot in front of the main entrance is atrocious to get in and out of because Hamilton is SUCH a busy street at all hours of the day. read more

Been coming to this home depot for years, usually it was just to tag along with my mom to the garden center or for something here and there. After moving though, I had to make 3 trips here in less than 24 hours...you know how it goes. Everyone that we interacted with was super helpful! Whether it was making a key, finding shelf liners, or figuring out how to rid of roaches, there was always a team member ready to help. The staff is knowledgeable and happy to share that knowledge with you. Looking forward to my next visit that will hopefully only involve happy gardening items and no more bug killers. read more

If you know what you want & where it is this location is fine as a self serve store but if you need knowledgable help then i would try another place. My grirlfriend needed help selecting a plant compatible with her patio environment & sun expusure. Nobody could help her and they kept looking for Paul who was last spotted in the break room an hour previous. We waited for Paul to be located for twenty minutes only to give up & head to the nursery about a mile away & she got all her questions answered & help picking out a climbing plant she's super happy with. Maybe you'll have better luck but the reviews for this location are pretty spot on in our experience. read more

I purchase a Lions Tail plant a week before and then returned it. The plant must have had root rot or something else. It literally died after one day. The price was reasonable but for a short lived plant, it wasn't worth it. The day I purchased the plant there was only a cashier there and no one else to ask questions about the type of plant I wanted. That's too bad! I asked the cashier about the return policy. He didn't know and said I would need to ask the service team. He really needs to know that information. The day I returned it, was smooth and easy. They had no problem with me returning it. That was helpful. It was easy to find the service counter and there were plenty people there to help. No wait! Now I wanted to look for a new plant to take home. This time I walked around the nursery and there were zero workers out there. Not even a cashier. I went back to the service counter and asked for help. The wait was almost 10-15 minutes. The older but lovely lady that helped us was very knowledgeable. I had picked out a plant. She suggested I needed to purchase a bigger pot to replant it and obviously I needed more soil. Honestly this was too much involved that I wanted something easier to manage. I decided to pass on the plant and went to a nursery instead. I may or may not return to Home Depot's nursery. I had an outstanding experience with Diana in Customer Service at the Home Depot in Campbell, CA on Hamilton Ave. She was helping with multiple things at once--a cooktop order, a price adjustment/credit for a dishwasher that went on sale after I purchased it, and then I asked if she could check on some Christmas lights since the shelf was empty. Instead of just saying they were out, she went the extra mile: she looked them up, found that there were still some in stock, then personally took a forklift out to bring down a pallet from the top stock. She even coordinated with a coworker to block the aisle for safety, then handed me the lights with a big smile. Diana is smart, capable, and incredibly helpful. She's a total asset to this store and absolutely deserves recognition (and honestly, a raise and a path to management). read more

Of all Home Depots in the Bay Area that I've been to, this one is the most limited in service and product selection. At the end of the day it's still just a Home Depot. It'll have 75% of stuff that you need on a good day. But if you want to make less trips with good service, I'd recommend the Santa Clara location on Lafayette, the Capitol Expwy location in San Jose, or any other one. Came here to buy a literal ton of concrete the other week and the associate didn't check stock until after we were rung up. This led to a whole situation that wasted about 40 minutes of time going back and forth with customer service. Also note that if you're looking to place a large order with multiple trips, you can't just hold a portion of the paid order at the store and make a return trip. Haven't had this happen elsewhere. Probs a specific store policy. Had a few other weird situations like having to wait 15+ minutes for a forklift person come to move a pallet and another 15 for an associate to unlock a wheelbarrow out front. Everyone just kinds of coasts around the store without a sense of urgency. The store has potential to be great especially at such a central location off the freeway. However, it's in major need of being more customer centric and employee morale. read more

Great services from Tran and Glenn. We had an issue with a bathtub faucet handle that has been rusty and tight. Tran helped us three times step by step at the same day. The issues were solved and very helpful by him. We guess that Glenn might be in charge of the plumbing part and gave us good price deal on the open box. I honestly can't describe how amazing these employees are and especially the store manager Heather for allowing me to pick up multiple items from the top of the bays right before closing! I contacted the store about 15 min before closing for the new Home Depot Halloween decorations! I gave Tori two sku numbers for the Halloween animatronics and she asked Brian and Daniel to grab them for me. They brought them down quickly and helped me grab both of them from different bays! This location is really clean and friendly. I never feel intimidated at this location compared to others, and when asking for guidance or help, you aren't patronized either. Everyone at this location wants you to succeed in finding the next best project or equipment for making your vision come true. We met with Josh and asked for advice on flooring in a garage and he showed us multiple options from epoxies to rubber flooring. He gave us advice based on each and made himself available to show us the place directly! I really appreciated it. I've come here for lightbulbs, boxes, tape, garden, wood, carpet swatches - and so much more. Every experience is consistent, friendly but not overbearing, and you can easily find someone to help you if you need it. I've had great recommendations for carpeting installations and using epoxy from associates and customers alike. There is a unique community at Home Depot that I've never experienced elsewhere, but it's really something special at this location. Definitely a place for all seasons, all of my flowers were purchased here and now we're onto Christmas lights and decor. Came by the other day and it was a quick and easy experience! Parking was plentiful in the private lot and carts were available in the lot. Sanitizing wipes were available at the entrance. Shelves were well stocked and water softener pellets were easy to find! The line for self-checkout was minimal. There were two employees covering the self-checkouts to ensure a smooth experience! The cashier ran the check through their reader and it said to call for approval. She requested help with this from two other cashiers and spent nearly 40 minutes on the phone with their internal "team" who asked for my cell phone number which I had already provided the cashier, they took down my drivers license number and I waited and waited etc. They finally come back and tell me they won't accept the check but with no reasoning behind it. WTF? There was no insufficient funds issue or they would have said so but still no reasoning. Angrily I paid by CC and completed my transaction then asked to speak with the store manager to gain some insight as to why they would not take my check. He was polite in telling me he would look into it and call be back with an answer. This is the final straw that made me write this very poor review, he never called me back! What an unprofessional jerk for a so called "operations manager" for a chain as large as HD. It's very likely I will discontinue patronizing Home Depot if this is how they choose to treat their long time customers! I told him I'd been a customer of that store since it opened decades ago. After seeing the reviews of this HD location, I now realize my bad experience today was not unique. In short, the service is not only POOR, the employees are simply RUDE AND NOT DOING THEIR JOB! Here is an example. With my shopping cart, I walked toward an open counter manned by a male cashier. He definitely saw me, but he just walked away and chitchatted with a colleague (not a business chitchat, either), while the counter remained open. So, I walked toward another open counter while another customer approached the first counter. Upon seeing that customer, the male cashier walked right back and helped him. Today I discovered that the best time to make returns is early in the morning, but the parking lot is very crowded with trucks. The staff is always friendly, except for the cashier who overcharged me today. She was not very humorous and looked unhappy. Apart from that, I have never had any issues here. I often visit and browse, but rarely buy anything. I once got a Christmas tree from the floor for only $20 and it was nice. We were looking for a pump because the storm caused some still water in our crawl space and when other Home Depot's were out because people panic bought at other locations. I called in and they recommended a model that was more powerful and luckily they had pump options available. On top of that, Craig walked by and asked if we needed help and he was the one I had spoken to on the phone. Super helpful guy. When I was walking around I saw a little old lady working there who was helping another guest and thought to myself what a badass grandma! Staff quality has gone down so much in the past few years. Almost none of them are helpful or even want to help. Some staff are just plain rude to customers. The 5 stars is for the older gentleman that worked there that I got to chat with while trying to decide if I wanted to buy a fake Christmas tree. He was so great I wish I would have got his name. He reminded me of my grampa and I just wanted to hug him. He was super helpful and so kind. He made my day! I ended up getting the fake tree so we will see how that goes. It's a 7.5 ft tree with lights. It was 159.00 so not badly priced. Guess I'll find out soon enough of I'm a fake tree gal or not. I bought a brand new grill on memorial day weekend (5/25/2024). They had a special where they would ship and build the grill at your house for free if it was over a certain price (which mine was). When I placed the order the man had told me that they only ship the grills on Tuesdays and Thursdays, which was great for me. I had scheduled it for the following Tuesday which was May 28th 2024. The Tuesday comes along and I have already had the day off for work to receive the grill. They had given me a delivery window from 6am-8pm. Well Tuesday comes along and no grill. I go back to check my receipt and it was actually scheduled for Wednesday instead. (Which granted I should have looked at my receipt to confirm the date, but I just wrote it on my calendar when I made the appointment in the store). So Wednesday comes along and I get a text in the morning confirming the the delivery for the date with the same 6am-8pm timeframe. Luckily my roommate works from home so he was available to receive the grill. I am at work and I received a text saying the grill had been delivered. They send me pictures (see below) of the delivery. In the pictures, I see the left the grill in front of my garage. Apparently, they didn't knock or ring the doorbell to let us know it was there. Now here is the kicker, they literally just gave me one of the display models. It still has the price tags and everything. It would have been nice if they called me or something so that we could at least put the grill in our backyard instead of just leaving it out front. This was a pretty bad experience for me. We just had one of the worst experiences at Home Depot on Hamiliton Ave., Campbell. We needed 10 Tomatoe Cages for our garden. They were back in a tight corner of the garden section. We could barely move, let alone select the cages. The cages were stuck together in a stack. We could not pull them apart. The few that we could were broken. There was no room to work with them. After 20 minutes, while fighting them loose, along with the bell chimes and garden butterflies, also in the corner, we were able to get the 10 that we needed. My husband and I are seniors, so it was a challange especially in 76+ degrees temperature. There was no one to help us. Horrible set up. Everything is so crowded that you cannot shop or get items that you want. Worst experience ever......... read more

Needed some Turtle Wax Rubbing Compound, 18 oz and wanted it today so I could detail my cute little red Miata (Zoom Zoom) tomorrow. Autozone's website said they have it in stock but when I called them it turned out they have none. Ditto for O'Reilly. Googled a bit and Home Depot website said that though the store closest to me in Santa Clara didn't have any, the HD in Campbell (the one I'm reviewing here) has two in stock. Just to be sure I didn't waste my time running after something that doesn't exist at HD, I phoned the store but it just rang and rang and rang, for literally Minutes. So then I went to the HD website Chat, got past the Bot, and typed back and forth with Jason V. I explained the situation to him (including that the HD website said the Campbell store has 2 but they didn't answer the phone), and asked him to please check to make sure they had it in stock; I foolishly assumed that since I'd told him I had checked the website and couldn't reach the store itself, he checked with the store rather than just looking on the website and seeing the same info I had seen, which I'd told him about. Silly me. So I went and ordered it for Curbside Pickup, and patiently waited for the text or email saying it was ready. Around 30-60 minutes later a very nice lady (Mila, I think) from the Campbell HD phoned me to tell me they didn't have it in stock after all. So then I had to spend time with her on the phone getting the money refunded to my credit card. I was more-than-annoyed and so asked to speak to the Manager (his name is Daniel) and told him what happened. Asked that he get Staff to answer their phones, and told him I intended to write a 1-star Yelp! review. He offered to check with other local stores to see if any of them have it, mentioned that the Cupertino store's website says they have 4 in stock, and he phoned them while I stayed on hold. Ultimately he was able to reach their Manager (Morant -- sp?) who said they will hold one for me at the front register. SO, I'm giving 3 stars rather than the 1 I'd originally intended because Daniel did his best to "make it right" ... but not 4 or 5 stars because this store's not answering their phones 2 hours ago led me on this time-wasting wild goose chase. read more
