Our shower hose got broken during shower. I searched 4 locations which are Home Depot, Wal Mart, Amazon, and Costco to find 86 inch stainless hose replacement immediately. I found Glacier Bay stainless 86 inch hose at Home Depot, our home location. Thank God! They had a stock which we were looking for. The shower head and hose got worn out fast due to the hard water w calcium in our city. Never last over a year no matter what high price and high brand or not. Costco has no stock, even Wal Mart ships only, no stock, Amazon ships late.... Thank God! My hubby found a right brand w high quality at Home Depot. We replaced it and turned out perfect. Looks durable, 86 inch length is enough to use. Iit has brass inside the hose. It means a good, durable product compared to the cheap products like chrome. Happy day to replace a new Glacier Bay shower hose. I noticed today they all changed Self Check out. Only one cashier is available for heavy construction items. read more

I've been shopping at Home Depot for many years and have spent thousands of dollars at this store. Unfortunately, my recent experience with a return left me very disappointed. I visited the store to return approximately $100 worth of garden supplies that I had purchased a few months ago after deciding not to move forward with our lawn renovation project. I had a clear copy of the original receipt saved on my phone, but I no longer had the credit card used for the purchase because it had been canceled due to fraudulent activity and replaced with a new card. After reviewing my receipt, the associate informed me that she was not permitted to scan a receipt from a phone and instead manually entered the information. When she attempted to process the return, the system rejected it. I asked whether she had contacted a manager, and she called someone named Mike to discuss the situation and describe the items being returned. When the call ended, I was told the return could not be approved and that I would need to provide both the original paper receipt and the original credit card, despite already providing my driver's license as requested. This policy seems inconsistent. Customers can make purchases using digital payment methods and cards stored on their phones, yet a digital copy of a valid receipt was not accepted for a return. Fortunately, I was eventually able to locate the original paper receipt. However, because it had been exposed to sunlight and handled over time, it was faded and difficult to read. Ironically, the clear and legible receipt on my phone was not considered acceptable. Even after producing the paper receipt, I was not refunded to my original form of payment. Instead, I was issued a gift card, effectively forcing me to spend the $100 at Home Depot rather than receiving a refund. To make matters worse, had there been any issue with the second transaction, I would not have been able to receive a refund for purchases made with the store-issued gift card. I understand the need for policies that prevent fraud, but in this case I provided a valid receipt, identification, and a reasonable explanation for why the original credit card was no longer available. The experience felt unnecessarily difficult and left me feeling as though a loyal customer was treated with suspicion rather than common sense. read more

Home Depot Cypress Garden Center Incident May 2, 2026 My husband and I bought 10 bags of soil today, so I asked for liners to protect the floor of my SUV. The cashier said she doesn't have any so I said that's ok, I'll just use the plastic bags for liners, for which she gave me 5. But when my husband and started loading the 10 bags of soil, we realized that the plastic bags only covered half of the trunk floor. So I went back to ask for more bags while my husband started loading half of the bags of soil. And OMG! The cashier named JAZZ (Jazmin) refused to give me more bags even after I have explained the situation to her. The worst part was she even took the 4 bags out of my hands condescendingly telling me they are for the customers only! But I said you just rang me up for 10 bags of soil so obviously I'm a customer. I literally couldn't believe what was going on. All the while, my husband is at the parking lot still waiting for the plastic bag liners so he could continue loading the bags of soil. The cashier even held up the next customer in line so this other customer thought I was stealing the plastic bags especially when the cashier said that "the plastic bags are for the customers only." Note that this is the same cashier (JAZZ) who just rang me up for the 10 bags of soil! Now here's what is even more shocking. There was another Home Depot staff named JENNY at the entrance just casually chatting with a man (not sure if he is staff who is off the clock already or a friend of hers, but definitely not a customer.) It turns out that she's the Supervisor! So I told her what happened and that cashier's behavior is unacceptable. (Actually, I know that she could hear what just happened because she was just a few feet away.) OMG, she didn't even apologize. Instead she said in a sarcastic tone: "You got your bags." So I said I'd like to speak to the Home Depot Manager as I would like to file a complaint and document this incident, to which she replied: "He is not available. You will have to wait." So I decided to go inside at the Home Depot customer service counter and asked for the Manager myself. The customer rep was able to call and get the Manager (RYAN) right away. I explained what happened, and he apologized noting that the cashier should have just given me the plastic bags and shouldn't have definitely grabbed them out of my hands. He also noted that this is a teachable moment, and he assured me that this new cashier JAZZ will need to be trained better. Now it makes sense! She is new! Despite what happened, I don't want this young cashier fired. I think the Supervisor JENNY should be the one DEMOTED and trained properly for exacerbating the situation. She should learn from the Home Depot Manager on how to handle incidents like this. That Supervisor should have just apologized and noted that what the cashier did was not appropriate (- refusing to give me the bag for liners and then grabbing them out of my hands even after I have explained that the bags she gave me was not enough to cover the floor of my SUV)... and that this young new cashier would need more training. That would have been the END of it for me. But instead she gave me the sarcastic and condescending comment: "You got the bags." No apology whatsoever. Furthermore, she was at the gate of the garden center where she could hear the entire situation going on and she didn't even intervene when this cashier JAZZ was arguing with me, even grabbing the plastic bags out of my hands. Good Lord! You're losing a loyal Home Depot customer just because of 5 plastic bags which I needed in the first place - to line and protect the car floor from the 10 bags of soil we just bought!!! Really? Unbelievable! I have other better things to do with my time than writing this review right now. But Home Depot needs to train this new cashier properly as well as that horrible supervisor JENNY who shouldn't even be part of management. I thought that she was protecting this new employee from being reported to the Manager for her rude behavior, but she was actually protecting herself too from being reported to the Management. This makes sense now especially when she abruptly dismissed my request to see the Manager. read more

Juan, Home depot Cypress. I was doing an exchange - return of less than $18 and purchasing three times that amount, without a receipt. I just didn't feel like digging through my bag of receipts. I have stopped providing my ID for anything other than governmentally demanding and bylaw required. Juan refused to allow the exchange. So I left my purchases. The manager on duty that said no was Juan. I asked them for their policy and their policy under the exceptions specifically reads " returns made without a valid proof "they have a typo" it says or but it should be saying of purchase may be refunded as a Store credit at the lowest advertise price". So I wasn't asking for any money back. I was literally making a larger purchase. But they were demanding my ID. We need to get this world updated. If a cop can't ask me for my ID unless they have RAS, neither should the doctor's office or a Home depot. This continued disgusting behavior of making us give up our civil rights needs to come to an end. Identity theft is rampant and this is why. Not every place we visit should have access to all of our personal identification, along with their employees. Home depot specifically is notorious for security cameras and flock cameras. I went in there to order a door four weeks ago. I told him I wanted all wooden door. He hand us the paperwork and has a sign in after telling him several times I wanted one. Door goes more expensive and I told him that's OK. I want a one door. I get the door and metal and all they have to say is did you look at your receipt? I go we ordered a wooden door. We never ordered a metal door, but he knew that we weren't looking at the receipt and saw this a metal door. I had to bring it back and lose 25% on the return I went to another. And was walking with open arms and told him what I wanted. He gave me a dog for a door took us only 10 minutes to order versus going to Home Depot guys shows up late and then tells me a bunch of bullshit. They had a really nice Christmas tree set up at this location. We came on a weekend and it was easy parking nearby to tie down your tree. They had a nice selection of various trees and the prices were moderate. They definitely have something for everyone and every budget. They offer coffee or hot chocolate for you to enjoy while tree shopping. I enjoyed one for sure. When you pick your tree, you drop it off to get the bottom cut and netted then take the tag inside to pay and walk back out to collect it. The guys can assist if needed to tie it down. My husband was recently leaving this Home Depot location while on FaceTime with me to show me some refrigerators we are planning to buy. Instead of being treated like potential customers, he was profiled by the cashiers. Ine employee we asked for the items to be brought down told us "it will be a while" to find someone to bring them down but couldn't tell us how long "a while" may be. We could not wait too long so after about 10-25 mins we left. Home Depot was a good starting point with price range & styles to compare. Having more staff on hand will be helpful for the customers. We went on a Sunday afternoon, which i think will be a busy day to justify having more employees on the schedule. read more

Horrible Delivery Experience -- Never Again If I could give zero stars, I would. I ordered a portable air conditioner online from this store on September 3, 2025, with a promised delivery date of Saturday, September 6. Instead, it showed up five days late -- on Thursday, September 11 -- and I only found out it was coming that morning. No time to make arrangements, so the driver just dumped it outside my apartment. The excuses? Every day from the 6th onward, Home Depot claimed they "couldn't find" my apartment complex or had the "wrong address." Both are absurd. The address was correct -- and here's the kicker: this same Home Depot Cypress store delivered a refrigerator to the exact same address the day before on September 5. If they could find me then, what changed overnight? This wasn't just inconvenient -- it was careless, lazy, and completely avoidable. There is no excuse for this level of incompetence. This past weekend we had another great experience with different parts of the store: - Paint: Jonathan helped me with doing a paint analysis on some samples I brought in from our exterior stucco and soffit. He took the time to explain the process, label our paint after it was mixed, and storing the information with our account so we could access the colors again later. - At customer service/returns: Krystal was friendly and a big help with assisting me with returning some 2x4s. I had forgotten my receipt and she provided a way to return for store credit with my ID so I wouldn't have to lug things back to my car. - Self-checkout: I had some lags that didn't have barcodes on them, but Jazz knew how to enter them into the computer with model numbers to make the process seamless. We were trying to decide between a few microwaves, so he pulled out an extension cord, hopped on a ladder, and helped us test them in-store to identify which would work best for our space. Only Speaking for the "Pro Services" desk here! I went in because I needed to buy an impact gun for our shop and sadly forgot to take the company card with me. I have the card on my phone but unfortunately there is no tap to pay at home depot... LUCKILY one of the workers let me know that we would be able to do a phone sale, where they would call the company and get the card info over the phone! We decided to do maintenance in the bathroom and do more decoration work at the window frame outside. We got to the paint area. Just waited for about 15 mins, our paint was ready to pick up. In a mean time, we chose the small rollers, plaster to fill the wall, the towel rack and toilet paper holder. Today was another great shopping day for us. Now I almost finished to replace the towel rack, toilet paper holder, paint my rosette blocks for the decoration at the window frame. My wife likes name brand, Delta. She likes the brushed nickel metal, it turned out great after we replaced in the bathroom. Matched well the floor tile color. Still work on the painting on the wall in the bathroom and a small project to add 4 inch rosette block on each corner of window outside to prevent the water damages due to the heavy rain. Obviously looks great for the decoration. My wife and I love Home depot paint area, Home Depot has the fast, friendly service, a high quality of Behr brand paint, and the various trend colorcards to give an idea to paint inside and outside home. I give 5 stars in paint service and high quality. read more

Customer Service. Purchase A $1000 water heater around 9am on Saturday. The box appeared to been open. I told the lady in that department that I suspected it was a return. She assured me it was a new unit and I purchased it. After draining and disconnecting the old unit the plumber installed the new unit. He left me with the unit connected and filled. Could not get the igniter to light. After calling customer service for 1 hour they determined the unit was faulty. Had to drain this unit disconnect and replace and return to Home Depot. When I arrived to customer service. They were giving me a difficult time returning it. They said it was missing a sticker? After waiting for the Manager for 45 minutes they decided to give me a refund. Purchased a lower model Rheem model. I had no other choice. It's 6pm now and tired . After installing 3 heaters in one day and losing approximately $500 in labor costs I do not recommend Home Depot water heaters, if the box is damaged Don't buy it! Rheem customer service is poor. I had no choice But hope this heater lasts. The management replied only to look good and ignored the extra installation charges I had to pay for their screw up!!! If they cared, they would offer to pay for my extra labor costs! read more

I bought a whole kitchen of appliances from Home Depot in 2019 and purchased the EXtended Warranty of 3 years. So when Home Depot's 2 year warranty expires your extended warranty is only good for 1 year BECAUSE the extended warranty starts when you buy the appliance NOT when Home Depot's warranty expires. So your paying for 3 years of a warranty and only really getting 1 year. Is that what any customer expects. The answer is NO I feel ripped off and lied too. I've been their customer for 25 years and lol this time purchasing tended warranties. NEVER AGAIN. Just not right. read more

I love Home Depot people are always so sweet and helpful that's why I'm still rating it a 3 star review! but Sunday morning, I had the absolute weirdest experience from a worker there: I had a nasty older lady WHO WORKED THERE smart mouthing me to my boyfriend for no reason at all... My boyfriend and I went into Home Depot to do some Christmas shopping and we went to self check out. He had 1 item, I have 2 items, we chose to go to 2 different machines but right next to each other , as we were paying separately. The older lady Home Depot worker standing at self check out goes to the machine my boyfriend is standing at and she must have gotten mad because I was scanning my own items at a different machine?? But that's what self check is meant for , to scan our own items is it not? The older lady starts to say things like "I'll give him a million dollar discount then" to me & I ignored it , because I was confused, I continue to pay for my stuff .. she continued to say to my boyfriend "oh she's getting coal this Christmas, get her a stocking that is filled with coal" and I still continued to ignore it, she scans and bags my boyfriends item. And as we both finish, we go to leave and as we're passing by her she continues to say 1 last remark very loudly in my face "DOUBLE COAL" -- for absolutely no reason at all. I wasn't rude towards her all I simply did was go to a machine , scan my items, pay for my 2 items, and leave with my boyfriend.. mind you me and my boyfriend were laughing and having a good day -- it was a very strange and rude encounter with that lady. read more

Poor customer service each time I've visited the garden section. Yesterday there was only 1 cashier and a significant line / wait to pay. Another employee was walking around aimlessly. I politely asked her to open the self checkout or find another person to ring up. She rudely just declined and couldn't care less. When we finally made it to the front of the line I commented on the wait and lack of self checkout option. The cashier said she never likes self checkout herself and claimed all self checkout machines were broken. I find that unlikely. Never had to work so hard to get a company to take my money. When the 3rd-party delivery service failed to adequately attempt my delivery, Jessica in customer service called me before I even finished "on hold" status with the delivery company. Jessica wanted to know what had gone wrong since the delivery driver had silently just left my order at the Cypress Store's Customer Service. Jessica immediately coordinated a remedy and, although I was simply grateful for the great customer service, Jessica issued a substantial, unsolicited, credit, on my credit card. Terrific service! I'll continue ordering from Home Depot over any other overnight service - every single time. read more
