Leaving one star is generous. It was my first time eating at this place, safe to say it'd be my last as well. I was ordering food for the company I work for, so I called it in. The girl who initially answered the phone seemed to be confused so passed the phone to a man. Now this man, was rude. Always cutting me off when I was ordering more plates, then demanding a time I'd be there. I show up at the time I told them that I'd be there, I go to the girl and they say they have no phone order. The man also states that he didn't take a phone order. Why demand a pick up time, when you won't even write down my order or have it ready at said pick up time? Food overall is very bland for the prices. Their veggies are a joke. OH! And the kicker, I went to pay with card, I was expecting to just punch in my pin and they ask for a tip. I get it, I always tip. However, not when I feel like I'm being forced to tip. I really wanted to enjoy this place, I did. I was in the mood for a teriyaki bowl and tried this place (I'm from out of town). I ordered a chicken & beef combo plate. The chopped chicken was already sitting piled high on the grill, but the cashier (only employee out front) put beef and bit of veggies (mostly shredded cabbage) on the grill before adding them to my plate. I wished I could've bought a smaller portion/bowl but they only sold big plate sized portions. The sign by cash register said they charge an extra $1 for using credit or debit. I pulled out a $20 bill to use my cash. I was gonna buy a fountain drink but when I asked if there's free refills, he said the refills cost $1 more each. This is really concerning! What if a child had this and swallowed it. So I called the restaurant and they did absolutely nothing. They said there is not supposed to be bones in this meal. But the one thing that really bothers me about this place is how is it possible that they have a A rating. The owners haven't done any thing to make this place any better. Everybody knows this spot and I use to come here for lunch back in the day. So when did they start serving meat that had been cooked and then heated up cause every piece of chicken on my plate is burnt and crispy smh. You get s bed of rice, then topped with veggies like carrots, broccoli, and cabbage. Finally they pile on the meat. I only ordered the regular and was stuffed on the one plate, but you could easily have some left over. Everything cooked to order so it's hot and fresh. Ask for extra teriyaki at the end. And yes it's in a strip mall so it's a dive, sticky floors and all - but you can just take it to go or just go with the flow! read more

Hungry ninja is one of my favorite places to eat fast food Chinese take out. The parking lot is tight and close to Valencia high school. The outside have benches for people to sit on. The line is long but the service is quick, so you won't be waiting for long. Inside, the smell is amazing. The smell of fresh lettuce cut with a teriyaki glaze over chicken, beef and shrimp is soothing. After work, if you're craving Chinese food, this place gives you that " that hits the spot" kind of feeling. The menu consists of chicken, beef or shrimp for the entrees. The entrees are either one or the other or a combination of the three. You get two sizes, the regular or the large. The regular is massive alone, so getting the large is almost impossible to finish by itself. The prices can vary, as far back as I remember, the prices were around 7$ for the regular meal and then 9$ for the large meal. Now, I'm sure that they are more expensive by at least 2$ or more for each. The service is questionable though because there are times when people accidentally pick up the wrong order. You get your receipt, but they do not call out your number. They instead call out the name of what you ordered and people might have ordered the same thing. This can delay your order. Great service, quickly made meals, poor parking, questionable unorganized orders; however, the best pet is the taste and quantity/quality of the food. This is what makes hungry ninja one of the best. Oh, and on a side note, there are no bathrooms for the customers. read more

I've been to hungry ninja before back in the valley, so I thought I'd stop in and try this place out. The price of the food is expensive for what you get. The serve you a plate of food like you haven't eaten in years. Unfortunately my final straw was when I was eating the food just tasted off and also rubbery. Idk if the chicken is not fresh or what the deal was but since I had eaten a quarter of the food I had to stop because I could feel myself getting sick, I had immediate fever with the chills and body aches. Hungry Ninja holds a special place in my tummy as one of my favorite joints to eat at in high school. When I moved back into the area I couldn't wait to relive some of those delicious food memories. I got my usual large chicken teriyaki order to go and was in heaven the minute I got home and devoured the entire large portion in one sitting, a feat that is rare for me. I love their chicken smothered in teriyaki with rice and veggies. I wish I had more veggies though, as I jealously watched my friend enjoy 4 whole broccoli compared to my one. No matter!
