We went for the Dine Out Lauderdale special but ended up just having lunch specials and loved our lunch trays that came with salad, a samosa, naan, a small portion of the curry for the day, plus our chosen entree, and a teeny dessert. The food (we got Lamb Rogan Josh and Lamb Madras) was spiced just right (medium---ask if you want it less or more spicy) and the meat was seasoned well, very tender, and luscious. Whether for the lunch special (about $20 each including tax and tip) or dinner, we will return. Beautifully decorated, well lit, and amazingly music. Our server was so sweet!

Thanks to the pandemic, a couple of our favorite Indian restaurants in Broward County closed. Having been raised on Indian food and being a curry queen in the kitchen, not just any place will make me happy. And after our trip to India in 2018, I got even pickier. Hubby and I went at lunch time planning to try the Dine Out Fort Lauderdale menu at The Indian Harbor restaurant. We liked the lunch menu so much, we had that instead. It's a nicely decorated, linen napkins kind of place. The lunch box prices were the same as listed for the entree at dinnertime. But at lunch you get a smaller serving plus accompaniments: a teeny salad (served separately), and the rest were in a multi-compartment lunch tray (a small curry of the day---ours was chickpeas, a samosa, a naan, and a weeny cup of rice pudding for dessert). We were fine with what was offered. Hubby ordered the Lamb Rogan Josh and I got the Lamb Madras. We didn't realize until we spooned food into our mouths that they never asked for a spice level. The waiter said they automatically serve the entrees mild. But ours were a tad spicier than mild, yet perfect for us. (If you want a really mild flavor, be sure to ask ahead of time.) Everything was delicious. The spices were perfect; the meat was tender. I asked for some tamarind chutney (for my samosa and naan) and got a light, delicious sauce. Hubby said that next time he would pass up the little dishes and just get a full entree. I may do the same but I did love being able to get all the side dishes, and I didn't mind the smaller portion main dish. Our bill was $40 for two including tax and tip. For lunch or dinner, this will probably be our new go-to Indian restaurant.

2nd time here and my husbands 1st time. We both loved it. We started with Fish Amritsari, tender tilapia with an outstanding dipping sauce. Our entrees were Tikka Masala with shrimp and Chicken Saag. Both were delicious. We also had the garlic naan. Highly recommended. Service was excellent. Beautiful surroundings with chandeliers. Not intimate as tables are pretty close to each other. Still the food alone is worth it.

Thank you to my friend for recommending this restaurant. I have been to Indian Harbor before, but it was in a different location. My friend recommended the Bento Box lunch special and I'm so glad she did. This choice is perfect for the person who likes to have a sample and refuses to get a doggy bag to go. I asked for my box to be kid mild. I can honestly say it was the best tasting food that I've had in a long time. Pro tip: the Butter Chicken is not on the lunch menu. I did not know that the lunch special Tikka Marsala sauce is identical to Butter Chicken. The only difference is that the Tikka comes with onion and bell pepper.

A Culinary Harbor Worth Docking At If flavor had a zip code, it would be registered at The Indian Harbor. Tucked away with an unassuming charm, this Indian gem serves more than just food--it delivers an experience. The lunch specials are a masterstroke of value and generosity. For a price that barely nudges your wallet, you're presented with a spread that satisfies the stomach and flatters the intellect. Each component--from the creamy butter chicken to the perfectly spiced chickpeas--tells a story steeped in tradition, plated with precision. The biryani deserves a standing ovation. Served in an earthen dish sealed with a puffed roti dome, it's as much a visual delight as it is a gustatory triumph. It's the kind of dish that makes you pause, smile, and whisper a reverent "Wow" before you even take the first bite. The Masala Chai? A warm, aromatic hug in a cup--bold, balanced, and brewed with care. It's the kind of chai that could easily convince you to cancel your afternoon meetings and linger a while longer. Service was attentive without being intrusive, and the ambiance felt refreshingly calm--just enough to carry on a good conversation or lose yourself in quiet thought between bites of naan. In sum, The Indian Harbor is not just a restaurant. It's a destination. Smartly priced, elegantly executed, and flavorful in every sense of the word. Highly recommend.

    Garlic Naan and Butter Naan

Tried out The Indian Harbor for some takeout because I've heard good things. And those good things were true and accurate! Inside looked nice so I definitely want to come back and dine-in, and if the takeout was any indication on their food, I know it'll be good. We got butter chicken with garlic naan and buttered naan. The chicken had a nice chew and was flavored perfectly. The naan was also great, very soft and flavorful. Everything was packaged nicely too, making for a safe and no-spill travel. Overall, great Indian food in the Harbordale area!

First time at The Indian Harbor and had a n incredible experience. Service was outstanding and very helpful, especially with the degree of spice levels. The food was delicious and we felt with full bellies

My friend came to visit me and heard about this spot on Check, Please! From the outside you can't tell how beautiful it is on the inside. The decor is nice with the chandeliers and it just looks so classy! The owners are from India and the food is just so delicious! I have only had Indian food a couple of times before, but this has been my favorite! Our waiter was nice and the food came out quickly. Would come back for sure!

    Butter Chicken and garlic Naan

I had a craving for Indian food, which I absolutely love! Unfortunately, I don't eat it often enough. I stumbled across Indian Harbor and saw that it was highly rated. They definitely earned those ratings! Upon arrival, you are greeted at the host stand and I was probably sat. Interior decorations are great and, while slightly ostentatious, not gaudy. I was unaware that they have a weekday lunch special menu and I will definitely be back to try some other of the dishes on there, however I was in the mood for butter chicken and it did not disappoint! I also had a side order of garlic naan, which was fantastic also,, the serving size was enough for two dishes or a split if you have somebody with you!

Omg yum! We were sooo hungry and the food was so good, I did not photograph it lol sorry but had the chicken samosa to start, delicious. Especially with the sweet tamarind sauce they put on the side. For my main dish I got the Chana masala mild with a side of Roti. Absolutely great. Service we great and as you can see from my photo the place is a total vibe inside. Needless to say, I'll be back !

While in the mood for Indian food we decided to try this spot and order for delivery. Everything was packed carefully and arrived in perfect condition. Lamb rogan josh was order mild but it was very spicy so not sure it it was a mistake but ultimately it was very delicious. The lamb was tender. The butter chicken was ordered medium but was not spicy which is what makes me think that maybe the spice levels were swapped from the other dish. Again, it was also delicious, but the lamb was my favorite. Garlic Cheese Naan this things were addicting and I could had 10 of those. The chicken samosas was the only thing that I was not a fan. The outside was crispy, but the inside was kind of dry. I did use some other sauces and the sauce from the lamb, but still felt dry. All the food was delicious and I would definitely try again as a dine in.

Indian food is one of my fav cuisines. When I saw that they had lunch specials I knew that I had to try it out. This is probably one of the best Indian spots I've tried in Florida. The lunch special options range From veggie to lamb. I went with the paneer tikka masala. It was so good. It was a complete meal with dessert for 15 dollars. Service was great. I am definitely coming back for the lunch special.

    Chicken Biryani
    Ali M.

I am Pakistani and really picky when it comes to Indian and Pakistani food, but this place was honestly amazing. I got the butter chicken, chicken biryani, and raita, and everything hit the spot. The butter chicken was super creamy and flavorful, and the biryani had a lot of good spices and tender chicken. They even sealed the biryani with naan on top, which made it even better. The naan on the side was fresh and soft, and the raita was a perfect cool side to balance everything out. If you are craving good Indian or Pakistani food, I would definitely recommend coming here. 4/5 cause portion could be more for price.

When we got inside, we deduced we should order at the counter, but there was no menu board and only one single menu sitting at the register. I didn't know what some of the menu items were, and there were no descriptions so I had to either google them or cross them off my list. Starting with what I enjoyed most, I thought the lentil soup was fabulous. It was rich and flavorful and tasted like it had a hint of fennel or coriador that I was not expecting. Fantastic dish. The kufta kebab was also very good. The spice profile here too was very interesting. It was different than other kebabs I had, I think had a hit of cardoman which was very prominent and added a wonderful flavor to the meat. The koshari was also very delicious, though it had sautéed, slightly well done onions on top rather than the crispy onions I've had before in koshari. As for what I didn't love, the chicken and beef shawarma were OK, but they really weren't shawarma. They were more like a shawarma seasoned stir fry. I wouldn't order it again and I love shawarma. Finally the falafel had an amazing crispy texture, but was slightly under cooked inside for some reason and not very hot. I do want to take a moment to note that the service here was fantastic.
