We have visited The Irish Cowboy a few times now and find it an awesome addition to our small town of Florence. We love the Irish stew and the shepherd's pie is quite tasty with decent servings of both. However, although the corned beef is very good, we were a little disappointed in the Rueben sandwich overall. The bailey's cheesecake is like none other, very creamy and unique flavor, and the specialty cocktails are affordable and fun. This is a very popular place, so plan to get there early! read more

Our H. O. G. from Scorpion H-D in Chandler took a ride to Florence to try a new to us Irish Pub. This place is about as authentic as you will find. The food was great( I had the Shepherds Pie ), but everyone in the group enjoyed their meal. They have a great selection of beer. It is a very busy place. Service was fast, but not in a way that left you feeling like they were just throwing things together to get you out, so they could sit someone else there. The owner is very welcoming and friendly and manages to talk to everyone that comes through the door. Loved her Irish accent. It is one place I think, most people will enjoy visiting. read more

Arrived here unexpectedly due to an appointment nearby that went longer than expected. There were several of us (probably 25-35) and I am certain more than they planned for on a Thursday, lunch time crowd. I share this to layout the scene and provide more insight into my experience. Our waitress was superb, she was hustling and making sure our orders were correct, keeping drinks filled, and doing it all with a smile and cool Irish accent. She never looked frazzled or concerned at all these separate unexpected customers. She was cool as a cucumber. I got the Cobb salad which was pretty good, they did not skimp on the bacon. After seeing my table mates, I saw that all the food was good in appearance and according to them, taste. One said best BLT they have ever had. Looking at other tables, the burgers and other sandwiches also looked great. I could tell that this place was not staffed for the amount of people that came in, but you would never know it by their service and quality. If they can accomplish this under these circumstances, I can only imagine it must even be better under "normal" conditions. I would highly recommend and I will definitely come back if I am ever in the area. read more

This is an authentic Irish bub style restaurant. They work hard to be sure you enjoy this place. The food is very good and fairly priced. Of course this is a pub and they have all the Irish drinks you could want. We drove from Superior to have lunch there and it was well worth the drive. We arrived on Friday, February 23 just before 3:30 p.m. We stood waiting for someone to seat us. There wasn't a sign saying to seat yourself. It was almost empty and finally we spoke up and asked a waitress if we seat ourselves. She pointed to a table that still needed to be cleaned but we sat where she said. No one came over as we attempted to make eye contact. Finally someone came and took our drink order. My husband asked what lagers available and the waitress didn't know what he was talking about....? He got his beer which was fine and I got a water with a straw put in the liquid that was never cleaned on the table... We finally received menus and we waited and waited to place our order. We never heard from our waitress again. She walked around avoiding eye contact she seemed to be trying to figure out a billing issue. At 4:07 I waved to another waitress who came over and took our order. I explained we had been waiting for our waitress to come take our order. By now more patrons are arriving. I ordered Fish and Chips my husband ordered a cheeseburger. He ordered it medium and it came out dry and over cooked and as he told me, tasteless. There was nothing special about my fish and chips. Although the food was not memorable what stood out was the complete lack of service. It was if we were invisible. Plenty of workers stood around chatting. We were so looking forward to this new to us restaurant and we were beyond disappointed. read more

I've worked in the food industry so I am absolutely understanding and patient with servers . But my service was absolutely horrible. I will say my food was excellent I ordered the poutine and it's to die for. Unfortunately I won't get to taste it again because this place has lost my business. Melissa C was my server and such an attitude from the beginning. It was obvious she forgot to put my order in as she came back frazzled after 40 minutes of me waiting. I expected an apology but was just met with more attitude when I asked why it had been so long. When they first opened we went for lunch. It was great!! However, last night , after a very long day we stopped for dinner. We were greeted quickly, given menus, got our drinks quickly. Then it was not so great. We both ordered sandwiches. Mine was a Rueben. When I picked up the sandwich, the meat all fell out because the bottom slice of bread was wet. The same with my husband's sandwich. I got almost no sauerkraut or Swiss cheese and while the meat was very tender, it didn't have much flavor. The fries were extremely soft. We ate what we could. Then waited a long time for our check as they were doing some trivia with regular customers and had no time for us. We were very disappointed. We stopped going to our club house grill because of problems and thought this would be a great place lace to go with friends. Maybe not unless you are a daily regular. read more
