I admit. I fully came here with a jaundiced eye. After seeing the food on other peoples Yelp I decided I would just order fresh fruit. My husband, feeling the same way called ahead and spoke with the manager Maria and spoke of the overcooked food shown on the Yelp. She promised to make sure our party of 12 would be taken care of. She most certainly did that. ALL of the food was prepared perfectly. Her knowing we just suffered a loss in our family she took extra care with us. We appreciate the care and service. I wanted to like this place but it's just okay. The service was fine, efficient if not warm and friendly. My omelet was poorly prepared, not fluffy and flavorful as I would expect. I was pleasantly surprised at this place. We ordered food to go as we were sure it would be a zoo (it was). We had the eggs benedict, corned beef hash, and oreo pancakes. The pancakes were so good they didn't need syrup, the eggs benedict use a nice thick slice of ham and the hollandaise wasn't too lemony. The corned beef hash was real and fairly fresh corned beef. The food was good considering I ordered a cheeseburger and fries and had a mimosa. The service was good. The issue I have is the fact that 18% gratuity is added to the bill to dine in and 15% for carry out. So for my food and my companions breakfast (which is supposed to be the cheapest meal of the day) our bill was $60 and some change! The single mimosa was $10 to which I had the privilege of making myself (I enjoyed that) but $50 for a burger and fries, an omelette special w/a side of bacon is a bit much! But my gripe is the fact that when the bill was presented it had the nerve to ask of you wanted to tip!?! Gratuity is a TIP!!!! Why then would you ask or suggest someone tip again!?!? Unless you are bringing the food doing a handstand while on roller skates I don't believe that to be appropriate! I only found out about the automatic gratuity via Yelp (shout out to Yelp!) I don't recall seeing it on the menu or posted. So all the unsuspecting people are being double taxed for a tip and I find that to be deceptive especially when the food prices are already inflated. Why are we paying 15% gratuity on carry out orders post pandemic? What more do you do for a carry out other than put it in a bag, hence the term "carry out !?!" For those reasons I wouldn't recommend and my rating reflects this. They were pretty busy so either most folks don't mind or don't know. read more

I was excited to see that a Jagged Fork location had opened closer to me. I had been to the Grosse Point location with a friend who lives in the area. As I have only ordered out due to COVID, I can not speak to dining in, though the employees I have interacted with have been great, despite all of the stress. Take out for breakfast is always difficult, the items do not always hold up well, but I thought they did a very good job considering. My friend got an omelette and I had the Chillaqilles with over medium eggs instead of scrambled (they had no problem with changing up the eggs and I think this works better than scrambled). The only note I would have is to ask for the chips on the side as they can get soggy easily. Their pancakes are solid as well. They can get busy on the weekends, so plan on calling a bit ahead. read more

First visit to Jagged Fork was a good one. The service was great. Unfortunately I can't remember my servers name but she was awesome. I told her it was my first time and she gave me all of her favorites. I went for the pancake sampler. However she said they were mini, which I thought was really mini. Nope they would be considered normal size.. Red Velvet, Oreo and Chunky Monkey. All were very good. So good I didn't use the warm syrup they gave me. I frequent Detroit often and I always love finding different spots. So when I was there about a week ago I found this place on Yelp and saw reviews and Menu and decided to hit it up!! I'm glad I did. I got the Veggie Skillet and it was very tasty!! Simple but satisfying!! I definitely want to come back and try other menu items especially the pancakes and French toast!! They have so many flavors!! We were looking for a breakfast place and this popped up. Menu looked good, so here we stopped. It was a very good choice. They were social distancing nicely, so it looked empty. Once seated, service was quick and consistent. My wife ordered the strawberry crepes and I chose the breakfast tamales. Both were excellent and nicely presented. Long wait, but WELL WORTH IT. We went on a Sunday around noon. It was 9 of us, so obviously we had quite a wait (just short of an hour). The staff was amazingly courteous and pleasant. Our server was super-attentive to details. Thank you! The food was out of sight! My wife got a vegetarian potato skillet; I had the traditional eggs Benedict (absolutely delicious), and our friend got the PBJ oatmeal. I tried the oatmeal also but was an enormous portion! Very tasty PBJ mix. The only improvement I would suggest is maybe using steel cut oats. I plan to make this place a "must have" every trip my family makes to the Detroit area. read more

The staff was extremely busy but seem to handle themselves very well. One young lady did cut her finger on glass I truly hope that she's OK. I don't recall seeing her for the rest of my breakfast but I wish her better days and I hope that her finger is OK. The pesto eggs Benedict with something I'd would normally not get but how could I not with the name. And the car portion sizes are more than amazing. I've been excited about trying this neighborhood Jagged Fork since dining at the one in Ann Arbor several months ago. My companion and I must have arrived during a rare Saturday morning lull. We were greeted with smiles & seated immediately at a booth along the perimeter. As I looked around I noticed that a few tables in the middle area were gone, presumably to help with social distancing. We found a hard copy menu that my no techie, elder companion ordered from. I used the QR code on the table. Note: 18% tip is AUTOMATICALLY ADDED TO THE BILL. Our server was very kind, professional and efficient. We received our coffee and meals within minutes. My Voodoo Benedict with Guacamole, Chorizo, Cheddar Cheese And Salsa Verde was an interesting take on a Classic Benedict. It was very mildly spiced. My fruit cup side was fresh, cold and good. As we dined, the tables filled with more guests. The noise level went up accordingly - a hurdle for the hard of hearing. Only one, single-stall, unisex restroom was available as the other was "Out of Order". The restroom could use regular servicing, as well as a paper towel dispenser by the door so one can avoid re-contaminating freshly washed/dried hands when unlocking and opening the door to exit. All in all, I will give Jagged Fork Lathrup Village another look for a different dish and perhaps an adult beverage. read more

The place is in a high valued traffic area which is under construction. It was completely packed full coming in the parking availability was almost zero to nothing I almost did not go in. But I thought to myself I would like to see what all these people are coming here for. we got there on a mid Sunday and luckily the parking of the offices beside the restaurant were available but I wonder how the parking situation would play off on weekdays. When we entered there were a lot of people waiting but were told we would be seated within two minutes I was skeptical but I said ok. About two to three minutes later we were directed to our table the server was polite. We were served with waters even before we requested them. then took our orders I typically ask the recommendation of the waitress when In a new establishment or let them know that it's my first time there which helps promote the waitress to give a good explanation of what they offer. However I did not do that this time and I think it might have had some sort of influence on the waitress to prompt me to order sides for the pancakes which were not included in the price i ordered hash browns and bacon to go with the pancakes which each were 5$ . The 3 pancakes turned out to be the size of a large dinner plate luckily the pancakes were delicious. The pancakes were fluffy soft and tasty best pancakes that I have had yet. To top it off I had selected the Oreo. it came with crumble Oreos a big slab of cream cheese cream and dusted with some sugar powder which made them the best pancakes I've ever had. Bacon was crunchy and was not drizzled with fat. At the table we also had corn beef hash eggs and hash browns the corn beef hash was soft well seasoned and delicious. When it came to the eggs and the hash browns. the eggs were fluffy and well cooked the hash browns was well cooked but both the eggs and hash browns were not well seasoned this may be a personal preference but I don't like to have to season my food at the table . Place was very clean I loved the fact that some of the waitress seemed to have had a personal friendship with some costumers making homey even tho the place was packed. The price range was not bad the average was 15$ per person unless you add sides that don't regularly come with the plate. Overall I would come back and I would recommend it to others. read more

Pleasantly surprised as food and service was great. Everyone in my party ordered something different and enjoyed every bite. For my crew that's unusual. The kitchen sent out a complimentary French toast which was amazing. I ordered the Cloud Nine crepes and they did not disappoint. OUTSTANDING!! Let me preface this by saying my husband and I have traveled extensively all over the world and we regularly dine out. Having said that, my husband is a tough critic and hard to please. He has a discerning palate. He rarely has a meal he would describe as better than okay. We arrived early on a Saturday morning at about 8:30am. The restaurant is very clean and bright with attractive decor. We were met with smiling faces and we ordered cappuccinos. Italian coffee (Lavazza) was served in attractive cups. It's the small things that we notice. We both ordered breakfast skillets. I had the Triple skillet and my husband had the Greek skillet. They both came with a side of pancakes. I had blueberry and my husband went with fruit explosion. The skillets were amazing! The ingredients were fresh with generous portions of meat and bright yellow, fresh eggs. Which is a rarity to see at most breakfast places. The pancakes were amazing with fresh fruit. Our waitress, Mona, was awesome. Super friendly and she took the time to explain menu items to us and give us her recommendations. We had our water glasses filled immediately when they got low. My husband thought his meal was outstanding and so did I. This place is a hidden gem. Highly recommend. But go early because by the time we were cashing out there was a line to be seated. read more

I happened to discover this gem from my wife. She talked me into getting a breakfast order delivered, which I rarely do since I usually cook my own breakfast. This time I gave in and because corned beef hash sounded good. Boy was I surprised, it was absolutely delicious! Wasn't some canned stuff that you'll get at some restaurants. I also got some nice fluffy pancakes too which were just as yummy. I tried to inhale the whole meal, but my eyes were too big for my stomach. I saved a little corned beef hash later for lunch LOL. Great brunch spot in Southfield. Service was very friendly and quick. Typical brunch style diner and very warm and welcoming. Coffee brewed fresh and the fresh squeezed orange juice is probably the BEST I've had, super sweet! The pancakes fluffy like a cloud. On my business travel to the area I stopped in on a Saturday and loved my dining experience. When I decided to return on Sunday, the kitchen staff called in but it didn't stop the staff from providing take-out service.
