Service sucked. My mom and I met two friend there this morning and we were charged gratuity on our orders we paid for separately. We got one glass of water no refills. Our waitress rang our order up wrong and over charged us then tried to make us feel humiliated by asking for our change from a 60.00 order for two. Duffy D our waitress was so unprofessional and nonchalant acted like she couldn't care less about our experience much less our food. Totally disappointed. All In all we all four spent somehow over $100 on basic breakfast with water for drinks. Terrible service. I can't stress this enough. Ordered the Classic Breakfast with a side of pancakes. Wasn't satisfied. The hash browns were extra crispy/burned and hard. The eggs weren't scrambled; more like mashed together. The bacon was extra hard; pancakes so so. I was a regular customer at this location (Lathrup Village) and Grosse Pointe, but too many recent mishaps have caused me to just make my own food. When you treat yourself to a restaurant meal you want to get a quality meal, especially since the prices are already high. Disappointed, Jagged Fork. Rachel was a stellar server! I asked if she'd do Corned beef hash, or the breakfast burrito. She said the corned beef would bring me back. She was spot on, I will be back. 9:30 am Saturday and seated immediately in a nice booth. Good coffee, meh on the room temp half and half being the creamer. First, I want to say I love the food and the wait staff have always been great. Have been a visitor almost every weekend and this weekend that has ended. Business owners, when you have individuals in charge that don't understand customer service, you lose long term customers. The veggie skillet wasn't very hot for being a skillet. I was rather disappointed when it came out with very few veggies in it too. My favorite thing was the crepes. It was a Saturday, so it was busy. We called ahead and was able to get a table. Unfortunately, for us, this meant rushed brunch with friends. The waitress kept coming by to clear stuff off the table and eventually told us that they needed the table. I can't believe I'm writing a negative review the first day of 2025 and at one of my favorite breakfast spots, but here I am. I left a 5 star review last week for the Jagged Fork in Dearborn. I mentioned in my review that I don't see how they got a 3.8 out of 5. I found out today. It's January 1st and restaurant is at capacity. I met a friend from the east side for breakfast so we decided to go to Southfield location. I have been to this location a few times without any problems. I ordered the exact same thing I ordered last Thursday at the Dearborn location, the chorizo skillet. From the time I put my name on the waiting list to the time I actually got my food was two hours. I'm not complaining about the wait time because it's normally worth the wait. When I got my food, I can physically see the meat is burnt. I showed the waitress before taking a bite and told her I was too hungry to have them do it again. However, on my third bite I just couldn't take it. The burnt meat was taking over my taste buds. So I called the waitress and asked to speak to the manager open to this point. The waitress did an outstanding job, but when she came back to the table, she informed me that the manager was too busy on the line and couldn't come speak to me, but she said that she would take the meal off the bill. They couldn't make it over because the restaurant was already closed, but they had a table of six that had just sat down so they were still cooking their food. There's a few problems here, one you can physically see the burnt meat so why would you serve it in the first place? Second, the waitress attitude completely changed and blame me for not allowing them to make it over again when I saw the burnt meat, like it was my fault. This is not how you take care of a customer. I hope someone from jagged Fork reads review so they know the do's and don'ts for customer service. I had waited two hours total and didn't want to send the food back, but I hadn't tasted it yet because I didn't have silverware. I didn't know it would taste that bad and I couldn't see finishing a disgusting dish. I still have the bad taste in my mouth as I type this review. For a manager to say I'm too busy to talk to a customer. Should be considered taboo in the restaurant industry. I felt the waitress comment about it was my fault for not letting him make it over again was unprofessional. I didn't even get an apology for the food for the inconvenience. At the very minimum they should've at least offered me a voucher to come back. I didn't cook the food. I didn't plate the food and I didn't serve the food but it's my fault that I didn't send it right back. I was giving them the benefit of the doubt. Jagged Fork is my favorite restaurant for breakfast and I've been at least a dozen times in 2024. I will continue to frequent the restaurant, but I absolutely will not go to the Southfield location. When you know the food isn't right, you should never serve it in the first place, but because they were crowded and rushing they decided that they will get the customers just anything out the kitchen if their business model is to drive more business to the restaurant they failed in this task Miserably. All I can say is if they knew better they would do better. The thing about this review is I doubt they will change this horrible behavior. The owner management and staff should be embarrassed for just bringing food to the table that they know is not suitable for consumption. A customer should never be told that a manager is too busy to speak to them. You can't be so busy that you can't address the issue face-to-face with the people that make it possible to keep the doors open. I wish I would've taken a pic. I would've posted that because everyone could see the burnt meat. Now I can see why they are 3.8 star. Not just a bad food, but the waitress that went from a five star to a one star in a statement that didn't need to be made. More training is needed, and people that take pride in the food they serve is needed as well. They opened in 2014. They will not make another 10 years with the actions that I experienced today. read more

I've been to the Ann Arbor location several times, but this is my first time at this location. It's Covid times so I ordered take out for breakfast. I ordered the eggs benedict and the triple triple omelette with a side of the chunky monkey pancakes. The eggs Benedict was hard to eat because the bottom of the biscuit was hard and the eggs were soft boiled instead of poached so it wasn't runny, but the eggs Benedict was otherwise good. The hollandaise is always good so I made sure to get an extra side of it. My boyfriend ordered the triple triple omelette with the chunky monkey pancakes. The omelette was good and the chunky monkey was a little too sweet since it was white chocolate, but they were still super delicious! My total was $31. This included the gratuity. I'm not going to lie, I was a little bit surprised at the added gratuity because my order was so small. I typically tip for take out anyways, but to force a customer to tip on take out seems selfish and greedy to me considering this is a hard time for everyone. Not a good business move, doesn't sit well with me. People are struggling too, you should be happy we're support a small business, because a corporation would never let this happen. read more

I am at the point in my life where I am not going to argue, debate nor make a scene.......but I WILL write a review of accurate account of my experience. There is no reason to debate I will just take my coin elsewhere! I arrived at the Lathrop Village, MI. location prior to a friend's arrival. I requested to be seated so that I could enjoy a cup of coffee and review the menu and I was told that I could not be seated until the other party arrived.....an individual behind me was dining alone was seated.......humm??? I waited patiently. Three men arrived and informed the wait staff that they were waiting on another person......hummmm???? They were immediatly seated. I went to the counter to state my concern. I was THEN seated while I awaited my friend. So next time if you ever are waiting on another person to join you.....and you want to be seated just tell them you are dining alone....... SMH! Secondly, the bill arrives.....there is an automatic 18% gratuity on the check! The clerk takes my card then hands the machine to me suggesting an additional tip......I asked her......Why would you hand this to me if there is already a tip included in the bill??? She says "That's if you wanted to leave something extra!" The food was good, the location was decent. I think I may find another location to patronize. read more

I came here for the 1st time for brunch. The ratings are good and I was super hungry, so I stopped by after my morning workout. The wait was suppose to be 20 minutes but I was seated after a 10 minute wait. You have to wait in your car and they text you when your table is ready. I got the fruit parfait which was amazing in presentation and taste. I felt good about eating this healthy bowl of deliciousness. I also ordered the chicken tamales dish which are a popular item but babyyyyy, let me tell you: they are spicy AF!!!!Unfortunately, I had to send them back which was disappointing because I've been craving non pork tamales and they are hard to find. There was no disclaimer so Jagged Fork please consider mentioning this on the menu. That was not a pleasant surprise. I ended up getting turkey sausage and hash browns to complete my brunch. I like the eco friendly straws they use. It wasn't a paper straw either. Customer service by my waitress Rachel was great! Request her when you go. The staff wore masks and gloves and they had hand sanitizer available. Every other table was occupied to keep in compliance with COVID-19 health standards. Tried this place out today for the first time. I don't know what to say. While waiting to be seated, the hostess plugged in a Bluetooth speaker on the window and started blasting music for the entire restaurant to hear. I saw speakers on the ceiling of the restaurant... why not use those instead or fix them if they are broken. Our server was great, but when our food came out, I noticed our sausage links were DEEP FRIED and not grilled. Don't know why they would do this. But oh well. Then the expediter/food runner who ran out our food had so many stains and food all over her clothes it was hard to look it. Since this was 11 am, I'm guessing she hasn't washed her clothes in a few days or maybe weeks. She set down my eggs Benedict, and I immediately noticed that my poached eggs were not only garnished with the traditional paprika, but also a ton of cinnamon was sprinkled on top. How on earth someone would run food out like this is unreal. I guess she was hoping that I wouldn't notice. She knew it was on there, but figured let's give it a shot. Now I had to go wait for my food to be remade, while I watched my wife and kid enjoy their meal. I gave this place a shot. I probably won't be back at THIS location. The long wait time is part of the experience. Pro-tip 1: don't go to Sunday brunch hungry. Go around 30 mins - 1 hour before your usual meal times before the hunger kicks in. Wait time is expected to be long, so it's better to adjust instead of getting mad. Pro-tip 2: make sure everyone at your party is there because you will only be seated if everyone's there. And you can't add to your table once you're seated. Service is relatively swift. Our waitress is very kind, but there are some who can be a bit unwelcoming, it seems. The menu consists of typical brunch options, and they have a huge range of varieties, such as pancakes, waffles, omelets, eggs, breakfast skillets, etc. I ordered the fruit explosion pancakes without whipped cream and powdered sugar. The pancakes are HUGE. Literally, it's the size of the plate, and they gave 3 of it. Bless my bottomless stomach, I ate it all, but it was a lot of food. I personally enjoyed it. Their thousand island accompaniment is the right pairing and deliciously creamy. The Greek skillet was yummy to the last bite. The s'mores French toast was the way to go, keep in mind it's indulgent, decadent and after a few bites it's best to have something savory to help balance out the sugar rush. It's to die for and if you love Nutella and s'mores you will be in heaven. Total bill for this savory to die for you s'mores French toast was $43.20, not bad, well worth it. WOW, the Jagged Fork is so good. They don't take reservations so you may have to wait (we have waited either 45 min or 60 min each time we've gone on the weekend), but it is so worth it -- just make sure to factor that in. Everything we have tried has been awesome. The chilaquiles are definitely a must. The huevos rancheros are good, but if you're deciding between the two, go with chilaquiles. The trio of pancakes was awesome, but the Cinnabon pancake is unreal. I like having variety, but turns out, sometimes you just want one reaaaally good thing, and that Cinnabon pancake is it. The food here is great, I had the Corned Beef Hash Skillet and listen, the flavors all came together so nicely. It also came with a choice of toast or their famous pancakes. It's a small restaurant, and it's pretty loud, so if you are planning to have a quiet brunch, I'd recommend you not come here. I was also shocked to know they had brunch mimosas, I did not immediately see a bar so I wasn't sure until I saw the menu. It was a pleasant surprise. Well, I guess the server really liked cheese, as this was very cheesy. The crepe itself lacked flavor and everything inside was completely unseasoned, hence very bland. And as we all know, you can't really salt eggs after they are cooked, as it will only taste like salty bland eggs. The crepe came with a side salad, which is a complete mis-pairing. Also ordered their breakfast burrito. Guess the cook has a very hand when it comes to applying cheese, but does not season. Flavor was good, but it was overly gooey with cheese and completely unseasoned. Same with hash browns; completely unseasoned. Staff moved fairly slow; no one was in a rush, despite the restaurant experiencing a rush. Food eventually arrived, so I guess it was fine. I like the menu, appreciate the business venture, and wish them well. And unless the cooks learn how to cook with salt, perhaps they should market to those with high blood pressure, unless they already do... Met a friend for breakfast on a Sunday morning and of course it was jumping. The wait was not long once my friend arrived. Service was great and the waitress was attentive and patient as it was my first time there. The fruit slices with my veggie omelette was a nice touch and appreciated. I ordered my hard to please husband a carry out which he enjoyed. They serve Mimosas which i will try if there is a next time. Downside here is parking as it is very limited and most had to park in neighboring lots of closed businesses.
