Shout out to Tyler, smiling and energetic owner, who creates 'Craft Soda' delights in a food…read moretruck!! Not sure if it's a new concept, but a definitely a thirst quenching treat! Order a 24oz. drink Cup for $~4 or 32oz. for ~$6. Overall rating 4.0+ for my experience, appreciating Tyler's entrepreneurship and variety of soda delights and cookies. Celebrating a Bday, the kids wanted to have a special treat, so Fizz's was the choice for a quick outdoor stop. Craft Sodas are a mix of base soda (Coke, Dr. Pepper, Sprite, Root Beer, Lemonade), plus mixing fun flavors, and then soft ice cream for a float. Thumbs up for the James River RB float, and also many other drinks to choose. We added a fresh cookie (Snickerdoodle or Chocolate Chip) to make a dessert combo ... 'sweet' treats to celebrate! Give Fizz's (parking lot by Ace Hardware on S. Campbell) a try and sample one of Tyler's creation if you want an inspired soda and some new flavors. Enjoy!

If you've ever been to the western states (Utah, I'm looking at you) then you'd know exactly what a…read morecraft soda and cookies shop is and how it works. Think Starbucks but instead of coffee as your base, soda is the base. So you can add all kinds of toppings, cream, syrups, etc. And they serve cookies, too. Now, soda is already sweet as it is! So add on syrups and it's A LOT. If you're new to this concept, stick with a diet soda if you're adding syrup and/or toppings. If you're just adding cream to it, then regular soda would be fine. But hey, if you think you can handle the sweet, go for it! My favorite that I've tried so far is the 417, but make it diet. It's a diet Dr Pepper, cream, and vanilla. Basic, but tasty. It's like a creamy vanilla Dr Pepper. And since it's diet, it isn't overpowering sugar on sugar. I've tried the Bear Trap, and it is good, but the cherry flavor is weird. I think it's because it is a cherry syrup and not a Cherry Coke. I think if it was a Cherry Coke with cinnamon, vanilla, and cream it would be fantastic! They also have Red Bull concoctions, if that's your thing. I haven't tried any of their cookies, but maybe next time I go I will. Overall, a fun treat and unique experience. Go check it out!

I call ahead my orders to get it when I arrive. It gives them some time to prepare it. They are always friendly and helpful on the phone. They are a food truck with an enclosed eating area, which is much appreciated. The atmosphere helps you relax for a bit knowing that you're protected from the elements. I do tell my friends about them all the time. I'm always looking forward to my next visit.

Overall their food was up to par compared to home cooked meals, the only thing that was lacking was the flavor. There was definitely flavor but I would personally like a little more spices added into the mix. I also thought that their red sauce was a little over the top on spice without the flavor, on a high note their verde salsa had great flavor and the perfect amount of spice. Their agua Fresca specifically their Jamaica (hibiscus) was absolutely amazing!! Lastly the service was great and very nice! Overall this place has been the closest to tasting like home and would absolutely recommend it to anyone looking for a fast of home!

My daughter and I were in the area visiting and read several positive reviews so we decided to give…read moreit a try. When we first pulled up the place looked like it might have been closed, but it wasn't. We were just there at an unpopular time of day. It was around 2:45pm so after lunch and too early for dinner, but we were hungry. When we walked in, we were promptly greeted by a very kind and informative gentleman. We told him we had never been there before and he informed us that because it's a bbq place, they sell out very early. It was also St Patrick's Day and he told us even those specials were all sold out. He proceeded to tell us what they had left and made recommendations for us based on what was available. We ended up ordering the smoked turkey, burnt ends, potato salad and the bbq beans. The sauces we tried were a mustard based bbq sauce and their traditional house bbq sauce. We took a seat at a table while we waited for our food. It's a seat yourself dining room. Our only complaint about the dining room was the lighting and temperature. It was too dark inside and the temperature was too cold, but it was also very cold outside. Our food was brought out pretty quickly and everything was worth the wait! The turkey was so moist and tender and the burnt ends were charred just right. The potato salad and beans were both large enough to share. The potato salad had an unusual flavor because it was made with pickles which we love so it was different but incredibly delicious at the same time. I was so glad we ordered it. The beans were just okay for me, but my daughter really liked them. Personally, I don't get too excited about beans when there's better options to try. I'd rather put those carbs and calories to better use. LOL The sauces were both good but the mustard one had a very strong mustard flavor so if mustard isn't your thing you're not going to like it. The house sauce is just the right mix or sweet and smoky. As I'm writing this review, I'm craving the potato salad so much and the turkey too. If I'm ever back in the area, I'm definitely stopping there again. Nice staff, great food, and good portions what more to ask for.

The texture didn't seem right as I chewed it. Seemed like it had a filler and very little fat. I asked for 3 BBQ sauces in my to go order. When I got home, there weren't any. I had their BBq with an old bottle of store bought sauce that's been sitting in my refrigerator for months. Overall, great brisket and turkey offset by bad pseudo sausage. And a BBQ joint that doesn't give you the sauce is pretty unforgivable.
