Came on a Saturday for lunch and there was no wait. I ordered a pound of mussel and a pound of snow crab with lemon pepper sauce. I asked for no spicy and they were only able to make it extra mild. My order came with lemons but I needed more. The additional lemons brought to our table was not fresh. The lemon peels were soft and looked like they were already squeezed. I liked the moist towelette they provided at the end of the meal. There is a small parking lot in the back of the restaurant. read more

Our waitress at Kicking Crab was absolutely amazing (VIANA) (GUADALUPE). She was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. She checked on us often, kept our drinks refilled, and had such a positive attitude that made the whole experience even better. Great customer service, she definitely made us want to come back. Came here on a Saturday afternoon and there was no wait. This restaurant is pretty big with a lot of tables. I got a pound of shrimp with a corn and 6 sausages for myself and shared fries with the party. I got them kickin style with medium spice. It wasn't that spicy but the flavor was great. The shrimp were very tender and not overcooked. It's nice that they give you gloves so you can go crazy when you're eating. read more

I am so glad they opened a location in Orange. I always love their seafood boils and noodles...it's a fun dining expensive with friends and family. They provide aprons, gloves and tons of napkins, so don't worry to get dirty and dig in. Quality of the seafood was great and love the favors of their sauce. If you have never tried kicking crabs and love seafood, it's time to try! read more

We are so happy to have a yummy shrimp place nearby. It is down the street. Today, was our first time trying out this location. We were a party of two. The parking was hectic and decided to park in the parking structure and walk. It's definitely worth the walk. We ordered a little bit of everything. The service was beyond. We did have to wait 15-20 min for our food to come out. The waitress gave us a little discount to apologize. I was so happy with the fact that it was addressed. Parking could be a challenge on weekends and meal times -- during peak times, we avoid the main lot and parking garage, and go straight to the extra lot off of Alton (next to H-mart on the other side of the driveway). Wait time is usually about 30 minutes during peak times. For our family of 4, we usually get Combo 3 plus an appetizer and extra sides like pasta or rice. Comes out to about $200-$250. Service is inconsistent. Sometimes we get great service, other times, we're waiting to get gloves and water refills.

There were five of us and were seated immediately on a Wednesday at 530pm. We ordered the Cajun fries, mozzarella sticks, shrimp po'boy, catfish po'boy, green mussels, no-head shrimp, fresh clams, and frozen crawfish (they were out of fresh crawfish and étouffée). Everything was so good that we ordered a second round of almost everything again but with black mussels and head-on shrimp. The head-on shrimp was definitely better than the no-head shrimp. Everything was coated in the Hot N Juicy seasoning, and it was delicious. My favorite was the fresh clams--they were a great size, packed with flavor, and had a subtle sweetness that paired perfectly with the seasoning. The head-on shrimp was my second favorite, followed by the mussels. The frozen crawfish was surprisingly good, but I'm looking forward to trying the fresh crawfish next time. The Cajun fries were tasty, but the portions are small, so we ended up ordering two baskets. The mozzarella sticks were just okay and not something I'd order again. Several of us ordered margaritas (I had the mango), but I wouldn't recommend them. They come in a tall glass instead of a traditional margarita glass and tasted more like a soju-based cocktail than a margarita. Service was decent, but a little slow considering the restaurant wasn't very busy. Overall, the food exceeded my expectations, and the happy hour prices make this a great value. As far as personal appearance of the employees is concerned I am glad to see the guys wore their t shirts tucked in which I consider to be professional. Olivia responded with genuine warmth and kindness, assuring us that the kitchen was still open and that they would be happy to welcome us. From the moment we arrived, Olivia's hospitality set the tone for an exceptional evening. She greeted us with a warm smile, made us feel genuinely welcome, and promptly seated us. Shortly after, our server, Layla, introduced herself. Despite the late hour, she was energetic, engaging, and had an infectious enthusiasm that elevated the entire dining experience. She expertly recommended several cocktails, along with a glass of wine, and her knowledge of both the bar program and the menu was impressive. Her recommendations for appetizers and entrées were spot on. We decided on the Wagyu Pigs in a Blanket, BBQ Nachos, and the Spicy Rigatoni. Every dish was beautifully prepared, flavorful, and exceeded our expectations. Another team member, Emanuel, delivered one of our dishes and was equally personable and engaging. He took the time to share information about the restaurant, further demonstrating the outstanding level of hospitality displayed by the entire team. Manager Dave also stopped by our table to check on our experience. We shared with him that this was, without question, one of the best dining experiences we've had in Orange County in quite some time. Despite the packed house, we were able to put our name down on Yelp and only had to wait about 45 minutes definitely understandable Once seated, we dove into the Kickin' Combo #3 deal with the KC Fiesta seasoning, and it was absolutely worth the wait! She made sure we were taken care of without being overbearing, and her positive attitude really added to the vibe. We ordered 1 lb of clams, 2 lbs of mussels, and a corn. That night and the next day was awful. I started vomiting, had severe diarrhea, missed work, and my child also got sick after eating. Because of what happened, I called the restaurant to let them know and make them aware. I wasn't expecting an argument--I just wanted them to take the situation seriously. But I was being confused for someone that had already called earlier that day with the same problem. I felt completely brushed off. The response I received was basically, "Thanks for your comment." When I spoke with a supervisor he came across as aggressive and made me feel like I wasn't even allowed to express my concerns about what happened. As a regular paying customer, that was incredibly frustrating. I'm not saying restaurants don't have challenges or that mistakes can't happen. But when customers spend hundreds of dollars, we deserve quality food, proper food safety practices, and to be treated with respect when we report a serious issue. Whether this was a food handling problem or cross-contamination, my experience should have been taken seriously instead of dismissed.
