Wolfgang can't be proud that his name is on this establishment. It's in an airport, so it's not expected to be good. The food consists of a couple of apps, salads, and entrees. They're pretty pricey, but that's also standard airport practice. We had Asian chicken wraps with chips. The wraps were huge, but were full of cabbage and carrots, with little chicken. They were a disappointment. We were probably the only people who ever ordered a bottle of wine here, and it was a decent, fairly priced California Chardonnay. Service was very efficient. The dining room was pretty attractive for an airport place. It's not good, but it's the best restaurant in this airport. Faint praise!

Avocado toast, fresh fruit and cappuccino

This sit down restaurant was right next to my gate so I decided to have breakfast before my flight. Choices were limited and pricy, but I liked how the service was quick and food was fresh. I had the avocado toast with fruit and a cappuccino. My server was efficient and seemed to understand time was a big factor. Dulles is really limited on fresh food choices and sit down restaurants. Since this place provides both, it was a solid spot for me.

$15 dollars for an old fashion advertised as being made with "Laws" Bourbon. My girlfriend watched the bartender make it with Jack Daniel's (not even a bourbon). After taking a sip i asked the bartender what he used to make the drink. He said "we" only use Jack Daniels to make the old fashioned. I pointed to the menu and pointed out thats not what the menu says. Bartender' reply "I just work here and do what I'm told so I don't get in trouble".

I was seated quickly and although the waitress was nice, the margherita pizza was subpar! The sauce had no flavor which was almost non existent. It was dry and There was hardly any cheese on the pizza and a small amount the basil. Not impressed. I stopped in because I went to Carrabas Italian Grill in the same concourse and waited 10 minutes with no drinks or waitress greeting.... so I left.... and decided on this restaurant due to the reputation of the owners name. Unfortunately I was really disappointed. The manager was not walking around and asking if the food was alright or interacting with the guests. Seating and lighting was nice. Plugs along seating near the back wall for charging electronics. After being in airports for almost 24 hours, this isn't a welcoming situation. Follow up. I ended up throwing up within 30 minutes of eating here. Not cool. Again, definitely do not recommend this place!

    Grilled Chicken Burger

My flight arrived here midafternoon and I decided to stop by for lunch. Going with a restaurant owned by Wolfgang Puck I figured how could I go wrong? The restaurant was packed with people and the staff seemed very professional. I was debating entering at first due to the high prices but did not see any other better locations nearby. I was seated quickly and asked the waitress for any good recommendations. She suggested the pizzas and the grilled chicken burger as their specialties. I figured why not let's go with the grilled chicken burger. The best part of this burger was the extra avocado and the brioche bun that it is placed on. The chicken however was very bland. I couldn't taste any flavor making me wonder why is this so highly recommended. I should have gone with my first original thought and picked the crab cakes. The highlight of my meal was the tasty and lightly salted french fries which made up for it. Overall, Wolfgang Puck is a good place to go for a meal while you are waiting at the airport. There are not many great food choices here but Wolfgang is probably one of the better ones. Restaurant is spacious and the staff is wonderful. I wouldn't recommend the grilled chicken burger. If you're going to spend money on an airport meal go for the crab cakes instead.

Dry bread, flavorless fixings, standard fries, breath taking bill.

Wolfgang sold his name to endorse this restaurant, wonder when the last time he sampled the experience that's tied to his name? His personal brand now means "sold out so people can imagine quality" to me. Came on an off day and early. It was really empty and the waitress was good in that super professional way where she seems enthusiastic but you can tell it is a huge veneer. That's professional! The food was whelming but super pricy. The combination didn't make sense to me. Fries and a club sandwich at heart wrenching costs. I have done better in a LOT of airport restaurants than this one.

Mccallan 18 double pour, quite a weak pour for $65

Terrible pizza, undercooked burgers, small pours, and decent service. I got 1/2 mushroom and 1/2 margarita pizza, it was soggy and among the worst pizzas I've had. The burger was so overcooked that my husband sent it back. He asked for medium-rare, not well-done. He also ordered a double shot of an expensive type of whiskey ($60), for which he was given a very small pour equal to a shot.). The best of the meal was the pear martini. The waitress was very kind and didn't charge us for the expensive pour and gave us a free martini. Wolfgang excels at overpriced, subpar food. A good spot to grab a quick cocktail and getting a buzz before boarding, but save the appetite for the airplane. Honestly airplane food is a step up.

    Wolfgang 's Meatloaf

I came here for a late lunch while waiting for a flight. I ordered meatloaf bc 1) it was wrapped in bacon so SOLD, and 2) I haven't had meatloaf in forever and 3) it was comparatively inexpensive at $16. It was delicious - the potato purée was a potato purée (good but nothing crazy special), but the meatloaf was delish and I was particularly impressed with the onion rings. I'm not normally an onion ring person but these were perfectly crisp and left no aftertaste. One star off because they have paper straws and whichever brand they use got really soggy and hard to drink through. All in all though a great pre-flight meal.

I have to assume that most of the people in an airport have somewhere to be. A schedule. A departure that happens at a certain time. A restaurant in an airport needs to be snappy. Even if the food takes time to be prepared, the rest of the experience needs to happen with swiftness. Well, today it did not. I was seated after a delay, though it was nice to see the hostess carefully wiping down the table after she brought me to it. I looked over the menu and made my decision and then... not much happened. I watched the table next to me send back their pizza because it was wrong. The correct pizza arrived. Their drinks arrived. Another table had a problem with their salad. About fifteen minutes went by. At no point was my order taken and with only another 35 minutes until boarding, I decided that this wasn't going to work for me. I gathered up my stuff and my rollaboard and departed. Maybe I'll be back to The Kitchen. When I do, I'll make sure I have a solid hour.

Two and a half stars. Not much competition for hungry passengers in this concourse. Don't try to order a pizza unless you have a lot of time before your flight boards; it can take almost an hour for them to make, depending on how busy they are. Turkey BLT was notably better than the bland grilled chicken burger. Fries were fine, but my better half and I both preferred the kettle chips. Service was otherwise reasonably attentive, airport dining prices were pretty typical, and the beer options were quite nice.

Cyndy's Bottom Line: Hearty sandwich At the mercy of airport food I stopped by for a breakfast sandwich to go. Ordered the ham and cheese sandwich. It is served on a grilled sourdough with ham, provolone, scrambled eggs and arugula served with potatoes. A delicious hearty sandwich that will take care of hunger on a flight. Grilled to perfection, served nice and hot. Generous amount of scrambled eggs and cheese oozing out of the bread. Don't forget the napkins, you'll need it for the yummy messy sandwich.

Dark woods, colored lights stickers, TV playing, music going and the vats for brewing. Walked up and took a seat at the empty bar, arriving minutes after they opened on a Monday. Looked at the tap menu, as well as can for sale. My sister ordered a lemon lime cider and I decided on a Polvo Pils. After that trip to Prague, I will always search out a good pilsner. Ocelot had a wonderful pilsner, served properly. I followed this up with Little Black Book. Can you ever go wrong with a nitro tap beer? The answer is no. So, after two rounds, I was impressed with the beer, definitely better than what I had tasted the previous days. The beertender was attentive, the decor was somewhat eclectic, lots of colored lights strung from the ceiling. Barrels against the wall, as the main beer hall opened up to the production side of the establishment. The pinball room was awesome, wall to wall pinball machines, light flashing, looked like it would really be a happening place at quitting time. All in all it was the best beer experience I had while visiting. Would recommend a stop if you don't want to battle traffic out of IAD at the wrong time of day.

It's a nice atmosphere, not too stuffy but elegant enough for a nice dinner. The drinks are good, well mixed, and nice options whether you drink wine, beer, cocktails, or non-alcoholic options. The food, however, is very mediocre. They started with an amuse-bouche that was a fruit tart with cheese. Nice, light, and well balanced. We ordered the tuna tartare, along side a Japanese sweet potato dish and a salmon tartare that were both specials. The tartares were fine. Something you would get anywhere. The presentation was nice but their crisp or cracker was kind of useless as it doesn't have the structural strength to use as a vessel to eat the fish. The sweet potato was probably the best in terms of flavor albeit very rich. The main course is well things really fell apart. The beef dishes people ordered were either under cooked or over cooked. I got the grilled prawns which were limp and mushy. The veggies were underseasoned. The braised beef was small. I think everyone was underwhelmed with the main course. It's fine as a after work dinner spot but if you care about food, there are better options nearby.
