    Ode To India

We only came for a quick bite/drink as we had limited time before an event but we were able to get seats at the bar right away and order. My friend got the French onion soup and it did live up to the great reviews. She did say it was slightly salty but delicious and would order again. I only ordered a drink and decided upon the Ode to India (seemed to be the least sweet) which is a tea with turmeric, ginger, vanilla, agave, and steamed almond milk. It was absolutely delicious! I really enjoyed it as it was totally different! The bartender even told me to crack some black pepper in the tea for added flavor/complexity, truly unique. This is a casual place, thy even have a separate entrance for to-go orders. I would love to try other items next time I'm in the area!

    Sunday Roast

First time in Fenton, visiting my daughter and son in law !! I wasn't sure whether I would like this place with the name Laundry! Totally wrong!! We had wonderful service. We started with the Artichoke dip really hot but so good! My wife and daughter had the Sunshine salad which was huge!! They both enjoyed it! My son in law and I had the Sunday roast! Outstanding both of us ate it all!! Our servers name was Morgan, she was awesome and very cute! I am sorry that the pictures are after we ate half of the meal but I didn't expect this place to be so outstanding! Looking forward to returning!!!

Stopped here for dinner on Sunday as we have always had a great experience on pervious visits, however it had been a while. Quaint, Warm, upbeat ambiance downtown Fenton. We were able to dine at the bar which is our preference. JW our bartender/server was great! Attentive and very cordial. After a couple craft cocktails, my wife and I both ordered the Wild Caught Walleye. 8oz Canadian walleye, pan seared, topped with a maple beurre blanc. The fish was a generous portion, very flaky and meaty, fresh with amazing flavor. The dish was accompanied with jasmine rice and Parmesan panko roasted broccoli. Menu offers a nice variety of options. You can order dessert from the dessert menu or they have a little bake shop in the back of the restaurant where you can get the same items to go. Desserts are all made in-house. :) Would highly recommend if your traveling through Fenton to check them out.

Ate here and had a great time! They have indoor and outdoor seating and a huge menu. The service was great and we will totally be back! We didn't get anything we didn't like!

    Mussels Étouffée

The Laundry is one of my favorite, go-to restaurants. The staff is top-notch, the specials are wonderful, and I generally leave wowed. Unfortunately, this was not the case last night. My husband and I were there for an early dinner. Our server was great--informative and patient--and the accompanying staff never let my water glass get to empty. We ordered the artichoke dip appetizer--something that we've had many times in the past. The flavor was great. The only problem was that it came out with the center of it cold. We did not realize this, of course, until multiple bites in, and our waiter was busy enough that he didn't get back to ask us how it was. When he didn't come to take our order I told him that the center was cold, but I don't think that he understood this and simply thought that the app had gone cold. He very kindly reheated it for us. For dinner, I had the Mussels Étouffée, which had just the right amount of kick. My husband's Wild Boar Ribs, however, were lackluster. The adobe flavoring was good, but it overshadowed the meat by far. All in all, the food was good, but not its usual level of outstanding.

Restaurant week's offering was delicious. I got the salad as my starter, the Aglio pasta for my main (a full portion) and chocolate cake was my dessert. Amazing as always and the bar staff are hands down the best.

    ##125 The Money Maker

What a welcoming place with multiple seating options. Outdoor seating (covered patio or tables with umbrellas) or indoor seating options Perfect place for date night or a leisurely lunch with friends. Patio is so beautifully landscaped with flowers. Service was awesome for our four legged friends with a huge bowl of water. She was very attentive and kept our glasses full. I loved my #125 Money Maker although it was pretty messy. It definitely required the use of a fork afterwards. My daughter likes more basic meals so we ordered a basic burger with just ketchup and pickles. The burger was overdone for her liking. We didn't think to specify how done she wanted it. The dessert menu looked pretty appealing. Maybe another visit. 4 stars because of the almost burnt burger. Otherwise they deserve 5 stars.

Stopped in here for lunch on a Friday and the place was packed. We did get a table with no wait, but it was quite full. We got a spot on the patio which was nice. I got a specialty flavor cold brew that was a seasonal toffee cold foam type. It was good! The menu is huge and hard to decide what to get- definitely something for everyone. I ended up deciding on the soup and sandwich, since gazpacho was a soup of the day. The soup was super tasty- and offered garnish was hard boiled egg which I had never had before. I got the vegetarian sandwich which was good if a little heavy on the mustard. I ended up taking most of it home, it was a generous size. I took down 1 star because service was quite slow. I understand they were busy, but we were there nearly 2 hours for lunch where we ordered sandwiches- i didn't really pay attention but my friend (who brought her baby) noted it took 40 minutes from when we ordered to get our food, and unfortunately as soon as it came, baby needed to nurse. Our server was very sweet and helpful though. I'd definitely consider coming back though! So much to try on the menu.

    Croque-monsieur Real French Onion Soup

This was our second visit to the Laundry for brunch and once again it did not disappoint! I had the soup and sandwich combo and it it was delicious! I elected to upgrade the to the French onion, the cheese was super stringy which is always fun but the soup was a tad saltier than I would have liked. I paired it with the croque monsieur sandwich, that was a really tasty, I thought the flavors paired together very well! We love the atmosphere, it's a funky vibe of mismatched 50's dinner tables which I loved! The service today was okay, not the best but not the worst with the food being the star of the show. We look forward to coming back in warmer weather to sit outdoors.

Ask the Community - The Laundry

Do you guys have any happy hour specials?

Hello! We offer a Happy Hour cocktail menu available Monday-Thursday, 3pm-5:30pm. https://lunchandbeyond.com/menus/Happy-Hour/

    Do you have live music?

I do not believe they do. I go to the Laundry often and love the food, drinks, staff and atmosphere. They have never had live music, they do not need it for a great evening,

    Do they have mimosas?

Yes, I believe they do. Seemed to be a complete bar. Made any drink we asked for.

My group ordered a bunch of pizzas as well as cheesy bread. The cheesy bread was okay - my main gripe with it was that the sauce it came with wasn't very good (oddly it didn't taste like the sauce on the pizza, but I'm not sure if maybe having it in the pizza oven does something to change the flavor?) nor was it a sufficient amount for the size of the cheesy bread. For pizzas, we got the white pie (which really, in my opinion, should be called an artichoke pie but that's neither this nor that), the barbecue chicken, and two margherita pies (one round, one square deep dish). Of the ones we ordered, the two standouts were by far the deep dish margherita and the barbecue chicken. The former had an absolutely perfect crust and plenty of sauce to balance out the breadiness, and the latter had its sweetness nicely balanced with the tang and subtle spice of the peppadew peppers. The crust had a nice char but wasn't too crispy. Overall, I was pretty impressed with this place - I would be interested in going back in person at some point and trying more of the menu.

For dine-in service, simply take a seat and a staff member will bring a menu and take your drink order. The menu offers a great selection of sandwiches, salads, desserts, coffee drinks, and even mixed cocktails. I ordered the recommended cranberry turkey sandwich, which was fresh, flavorful, and served with a crisp dill pickle. I also enjoyed a cup of beef barley soup with a small piece of French baguette. Both were excellent. Soft drinks are served in 12-ounce cans, so there are no refills. Service was friendly and prompt, and my food arrived quickly. Before leaving, I picked up a three-pack of chocolate chip cookies, which were delicious. The atmosphere is one of the cafe's strongest features. The nostalgic diner-style interior combines standard and high-top seating, creating a comfortable and inviting space. Large front windows fill the restaurant with natural light and provide a pleasant view of downtown Holly's activity, making it a great spot to relax and enjoy a leisurely lunch. There is one clean unisex restroom available. The cafe also offers daily specials and sandwich, chip, and drink combos, although I overlooked this option on the menu and it was not mentioned during my visit. Prices are competitive overall, though I felt the soup prices were a little high. That said, the quality of the food, welcoming atmosphere, and efficient service make this a place I would happily recommend and visit again.
