I've been going to the Lemon Bar for years. Not much has changed though... Overpriced drinks, massive crowds and the unsuspecting Florida weather. The atmosphere is what makes this place great and they do have covered and uncovered sitting areas for sitting. Although they have servers walking around you will probably get your drink a whole lot quicker by going up to the bar. They do sometimes have live music, but we don't really stay here for more than an hour or two. Never tried the food... read more

Have only been on days when it is only semi busy. Can't vouch for Thursday nights or a special event. Daily drink specials are good but other drink prices are high. Staff is friendly, I like the POS systems that are in hand when you want to close out. The setting can't be beat right on the ocean with a view. Monday afternoon music that was some of the best I've heard anywhere,where else can you get that??? It's a fun place, I'll definitely come back and also bring out of towners here. read more

Folks with little ones BEWARE!!!!! Folks who are not white BEWARE!! My family and I decided to try the lemon bar out for lunch. Walking in my 3yr old starts crying because he had to get off his scooter he was riding around the beach .As I am actively trying to calm him down before we walk into the dining area my sister is asking the brunette waitress/bartender with dangling lemon earrings and a pink company T-shirt if they were serving food and if we could get a table . Later on my sister tells me the lady answered with "yeah as long as the kid isn't screaming " The waitress didn't even look at her in the face while saying this (most likely because she knew she was being nasty) I have never felt so disrespected, humiliated , and unwelcomed at a restaurant in my life . After going back and forth on whether we should stay or not,everyone was just so hungry we decided to order. To make this experience even worse a long brown hair was wrapped around my shrimp in my taco . I think back to the whole experience and cringe . Although I hate to say it I felt as though they are a prejudice establishment . I don't think it's a coincidence that almost all of the low ratings are from non whites . Lesson learned I should've let myself go by the first impression .I will never go back to this place . read more

Went here on a Saturday with a couple of my friends. They stressed wearing a mask for entrance which was nice but the manager at the door was very rude to my friend who showed him her military ID ( she's a spouse of a active military individual) and he was unable to take it. Saying that the ID was not active which was weird because the ID was not expired and if he knew anything about military id's it's always going to say inactive for spouses or kids of active military individuals because they are not the ones in the military. She showed him her state ID with no problem and then he rudely told her that if she was going to have attitude then he would ask her to leave. She had said nothing to provoke him. He then proceeded to come into the bar and walk around asking everyone if they were ok and being friendly to everyone but intentionally walked past our table three times without doing the same. We were only one of two groups of POC's and that just didn't sit right with me. We then went in to have a seat and it was crowded especially to be 5:30/6 it took a while for a server to approach our table and only they did once we moved tables. After taking our order, we had great service from the servers. The service was was quick and the drinks were good and not too expensive. However I will say that the staff needs to be more knowledgeable about happy hour because my friend called earlier that day and asked if they had happy hour and the woman on the phone said yes but then when we arrived and I asked for the specials the waitress told me that they didn't have happy hour on the weekends. Not a big deal but we were expecting a happy hour. It started to rain at the this outside establishment and so we moved under a rain shield close by but not next to the bar (closed for COVID which is great) and one of the male servers told us that we had to move. It was only us three and a couple who were standing six week apart from each other. Overall great customer service from the female servers but not so much from the manager and male server. If I could give them 0 stars, I would. This place is the epitome of the word "dick." They denied entrance to one of my friends, a 23 year old guy, claiming that his ID was fake-- even went as far as calling the cops (who later, verified the ID and that he was of legal age and allowed him in). Yet a few minutes prior to this event, a group of at least 4 or 5 girls walked in without being carded. Drinks were diluted. Beer selection was limited at best. And at the end of the day, just a completely unimpressive bar. Would not return, would not recommend. read more

We came here last Sunday to chill out in Neptune Beach to sit back look at the Ocean and to have a drink. It was a chill and fun atmosphere. The bartenders were on point with the service and hospitality. I didn't order anything spectacular just a Jai Alai IPA. despite the hot weather the deck was cooled by the mist blowing through the fans. I've come here during the summertime, when the place is packed and bathing suits are the main attire. It is always refreshing to have one of their frozen specialty drinks after a day tanning in the sun! However, my boyfriend and I decided to come here in November, and surprisingly it was just as fun to come and hang out as it is during the summer. Of course, the place was not packed and people were bundled up against the cold wind blowing off the beach. The service was excellent and not overwhelming, and our waitress made sure to check on us for refills and more. My boyfriend had noticed a table next to us order food, which we didn't realize was a thing at the Lemon Bar! We first tried the grilled shrimp basket, which came with Mayport shrimp, French fries, and two sides of cocktail sauce and ketchup. The shrimp was juicy, lightly seasoned, and the perfect amount to snack upon. The French fries were crispy and soaked up the juices from the shrimp on top. Next, we decided to try my boyfriend's favorite dish, seared Ahi tuna. Again, we were not disappointed, as the tuna was the right amount of searing and raw, and the wasabi dip paired with it was the right amount of kick. Friends of mine had mentioned this place on occasion so while in the area my husband and I dropped by. I didn't realize that this was a bar associated with the hotel and it was a bit hidden from sight. Once there I got the immediate feeling that this place could get crazy if we came at the right time. It was only maybe 2:30 or so on a Saturday when we went but they still had a decent amount of people there. The TV's were showing the college football games and the deck seemed busy, (beautiful view but we sat at the bar). We just ordered a couple of brews but they had lots of fancy frozen sugary drinks on the menu. Overall I would go back for a fun night of drinking, maybe try some of the bar food. read more

Nice chill spot to enjoy after a day at work. They have some great frozen beverages to enjoy as well as tasty food. We went to this bar three times over the weekend. We spent several hours eating and drinking at this bar. Our friends live right beside the bar. The fourth time we went, they told me my Id was fake. I am a 26 year old teacher on vacation. I had four other friends with me over the age of 26. I offered them multiple forms of ID and they continued to tell me my ID was fake. She changed her reasoning three times for the reason why my ID was not okay. We asked her to scan it but their business did not have the means to do this. The manager was so rude to us and she made us feel so unwelcome in their bar. Their manager seemed to love the power that she had. I'm sorry for their awesome staff members for having to lose money because of her. It was completely dead on the Fourth of July and their staff members watched their money walk out the door due to a poor manager. read more

Cool outdoor bar on the beach side of a kitschy 50s motel. Great service. The reason for the low score is the margaritas we were served during happy hour. At four bucks the price was right but they were without a doubt the lamest margaritas I have ever had. My wife and I both had two of them. I honestly believe that there was zero tequila in them. Well... I am not sure what the hype about this place is. It is crowded, but with a very bizarre crowd. Majority of the people are smoking so it is impossible to get a seat where you are not getting smoke blown into your face. The service is sub par. The specialty drinks were absolutely terrible. On top of that, the wine was basically served in a shot glass, but they charged you the same price a normal restaurant would, that would actually give you a decent portion. Sipping rum drinks on the patio deck with views of the ocean feels like a private party every time we're there. Beer menu is pedestrian and the front door situation cost this great place two stars. I.D. Nazi at the front door has no tolerance for anything. Have your I.D. out and hand it to her, bow and ask permission to enter! Everyone and I mean everyone (including your grandmother) must produce an I.D. or you won't be allowed in. And lastly as you make your way out remember that no drinks, none, nada, nyet (including water) are allowed out the door. Ice water in a cup?!?! Lemon Bar is my favorite place at the beach to grab a drink outside on a nice day. The only problem is that it is everyone else's favorite place as well and gets swamped when the weather is nice. Lemon Bar is an outdoor bar right on the water in Atlantic Beach. It's adjacent to the Seahorse inn but I've never understood if there's any affiliation. If you are having any trouble finding it, just follow the steady stream of bicycles coming down 1st Street like ants to an ant hill. The crowd is mostly 20 somethings wearing varying amounts of clothing. Lot of bathing suits and flip flops. When the weather is nice Lemon Bar is basically standing room only, and the waitstaff struggles to keep up. Drinks are generally pretty cheap. They run specials every day. It's owned by the same people as Ritz and Brix so the pricing is in the same range if you are familiar with those places. The bartenders actually do a really good job of contending with the masses. They are battle hardened veterans after dealing with these crowds, but they are personable and professional and turn out drinks quickly. The food looks alright but I can't say I've eaten here. Everything on the menu is in the $7-8 range. It's mostly fried. Think coconut shrimp baskets or chicken tenders and fries. Parking sucks in AB, so bike if you can. read more

And the bartender assigned to us took care of two of us no problem, and going onto our third friend (the oldest of our group) she rudely says "this isn't you baby you all have to leave" and began to make a scene while getting her manager. the manager kindly asked a few questions and ran her ID and said she was fine. Updating after our last visit. We had to head to the beach when a land locked family member was recently in town, so we headed this way and planned on lunch in another location, but they were closed. I warned my guest about the touristy place and not to expect the best service or food, but we were pleasantly surprised! I had the calamari, (it was ok) and a fish sandwich and fish fingers were ordered. They weren't bad and the fries were good too! (Not the best in the world, but beat my low expectations for sure.)
