So... my experience here was really weird. They have signs that says "masks are optional" which is cool by me... but then NONE of the people working there are wearing masks and that's okay too by me but they were really chatting with each other and in front of the food Anyways the one star is actually because the sandwich sucked. It's.......fine. Not sure what the fuss is about. It's a pretty standard boar's head deli sandwich shop. Could totally eat this and not be upset but I don't understand seeking it out. Can get the same thing lots of places. Live close by so have had it a few times. Pretty bland subs in general. Rolls are pretty good but not much meat in the sandwiches. Turkey is turkey....Meatball was meh, the Buffalo Chicken sub special which people rave about was just 2-3 small so-so buffalo fingers, bread and blue cheese. Innovative. People working there are very nice and seem to remember their regulars which is a big plus and probably one of the reasons people love it so much. Store layout a bit goofy. Sandwiches a little pricey for how little you get and how ordinary they are. Again, totally passable sub shop. Plenty of variety so chances are you'll find something you can eat. Exceptionally friendly staff, from sandwich station to register. This is clearly THE lunch spot in town, where quality is unaffected by the vast menu of offerings. Cute combination of takeaway deli and sandwich counter; a good place to grab-n-go or stay a while. I love their mozzarella sandwiches minus the meat (there is the Isabella or the Kaitlyn if you like balsamic vinegar). Soups are good, salads are fresh. If I ate meat, I'd probably have more to say about the meat sandwiches, but I can attest that the place feels clean and well looked after. Been coming here for subs for years. There's just nothing fresher than their sub-rolls. The Thanksgiving or a prosciutto & monz on a sub-roll just hits the spot. My first visit to the Linden Store and the Tuesday special was hot pastrami. This was my lucky day! This hot pastrami sandwich was tender meat steamed hot with melted american cheese on a freshly baked sub roll that was so soft the whole thing just melted in my mouth. We recently moved into the neighborhood and Yelp reviews for this place were so good I had to give it a try-out. It did not disappoint, this is just a great quality neighborhood deli spot. Maybe I'm lame for Yelping a place where I've only tried one item, but I feel this is okay for two reasons: 1) I have been consuming this concoction of sub goodness for the past eight years 2) The item in question is The Thanksgiving. What is the "Thanksgiving," you ask? A fabulous blend of deli turkey, stuffing (which oddly comes in rectangular strips), and cranberry sauce, with the optional lettuce, tomato, and mayo, served on a tasty sub roll. Yum.
