I really enjoyed it. Started with the chowder, thought it was very good, lots of clams and potato. The lobster roll did not disappoint, fresh abundant lobster. Even the fries were good.

Before making our trip to Gloucester from Bedford, I looked through Yelp at all the restaurants in Gloucester, specifically reviewing the pictures of their respective lobster rolls. I was surprised by the number of pictures from many of the restaurants that had lobster bits, resembling shredded lobster! Reviewing The Lobster, every picture of their lobster rolls showed big chunks of lobster! While looking through their pictures I came across a pic of their Lobster Cobb Salad and we knew where we were going! My wife and I arrived in between normal meal hours, and we're quickly seated. We wanted to sit on their deck; however, they have no shade umbrellas so we opted to sit inside with a view. After reviewing the menu we ordered our beverages. I ordered an iced tea while my wife ordered a Sauvignon Blanc. One of the nice things about their menu is that they actually have a market price page so you don't have to ask! I opened with a half dozen oysters for a starter before my Lobster Cobb Salad. My wife decided on their Thai coconut shrimp. Our meals came out relatively quickly and were absolutely gorgeous, huge, and delicious! They source all of their own seafood with exception of oysters, which come from a few miles away and the shrimp come from South Carolina. By the way, the shrimp are not farmed either. If you're looking for the real deal, this is the spot to visit!

Before heading back home to MD, my husband and I decided to take his mom, his aunt, 2 brothers and their families out for dinner tonight at The Lobster of Gloucester. Highly recommended local spot. We had reservations since we are a big group. We waited for about 5 minutes at the bar since they were cleaning our table. Our server was very friendly. My son and I decided to share the 6 lb lobster with a side of asparagus. I was doing a happy dance when it arrived. So fresh and tasty. The rest of our party ordered French onion soup, clam chowder, lobster Mac n cheese, steak tips with truffle fries, lobsters (1.5 and 2 lbs), baked haddock, pan seared halibut, smash burger and fried clams. Everyone was satisfied and enjoyed their food. Generous serving size that everyone had leftovers. Highly recommend the place if you are ever in Gloucester. Till next time.

Easy five star review... A restaurant with an unapologetic name like this really needs to deliver, and they deliver. It's right next to the water where the fishing boats bring in the fresh catch every day. You know it's a good sign when you go to order the lobster roll and it says market price.... I especially love that you had the option of getting it without mayonnaise so you could just concentrate on delicious drawn butter as the compliment. Do yourself a favor and grab this.

It's not as easy to get lobster where I usually live, so the opportunity to walk up to a window and get a lobster roll to go was amazing. It was absolutely worth the price and I only had to wait 10 minutes for my order to be fulfilled.

Seafood is amazing here! Everyone makes different version of lobster roll. This one is served cold and was ok. The fried seafood platter from what I tasted was perfectly seasoned. It was the first time having... Baby geoduck!! It is not clams! I thought it was. Haha! Good thing for my friend teaching me how to eat it. Or it be a bite of unwanted sand. Location is near the pier.

Came here with the whole family (3 kids ages 7, 10, 12 + my mom) after a morning whale watch. There was something for everyone which was great since my husband doesn't prefer seafood but many of us do. We were lucky enough to be sat at a window seat near the back with a view of the harbor. Our table had the swordfish, bacon cheeseburger, lobster BLT, kids Mac & cheese, kids burger and kids pasta. Everything was well portioned and looked great. I had the lobster BLT and it was full of lobster, tasted great and would get again. We did spy a fish sandwich and it was huge! The piece of fish was almost comical on the bun, but the man who ordered it just smiled and cut it down to a more manageable size before eating it like a sandwich.

Nice restaurant with excellent service and good food. We sat in the pub on a busy Saturday. I had lobster Mac and Chee which was very tasty, but I wish it had more lobster . The clam bellies as an appetizer were excellent. My only complaint is that the coconut shrimp appetizer was not what I'm used to. It wasn't a finger food...it came out like a baked scrod. Not bad though. Good views to boot!

Food was outstanding, my husband has the tuna sandwich and I had the lobster grilled cheese. It was yummy. The Manager was super friendly, my husband was asking where some of the boats are that are featured on Wicked tuna and she was happy to give him directions to see some of the boats even called one of the boat captains to see if his boat was at the dock. We are headed there now!

What a great addition to Gloucester! We love that Lobster of Gloucester benefits the local fisherman community. There is a lot of seating inside, the wait staff is very friendly, and the food can't be beat. The prices here are just amazing - if I remember correctly, $20 for lobsters (totally fresh) which I don't think you can get anywhere else. They also have some fun merch - I got my husband a rash guard in the front of the store. When family from out of town has come to Gloucester to visit us, we will frequently take them to this restaurant. We also got our neighbors a gift card as a thank you to this place. Worth visiting if you're in the area for some fresh catch. Easy parking too.

Absolutely delicious! The lobster rolls are worth their price and large enough to share with another if you decide to get an appetizer or soup. That's how big and filling they are! Service was amazing. We loved our waiter.

To start, the atmosphere is ideal for a beautiful summer night. It was airy, clean, lively and so inviting with twinkling ceiling lights. My family of 5 loved the overall decor. We also loved the view, ocean air and beautiful breeze as we ate the delicious food. We felt like we were on a Cape vacation. The food was just as satisfying. My husband said the baked haddock was the very best he's ever had. My Mediterranean salmon was also outstanding. My mother and sister raved about their appetizers, including jumbo shrimp, clams and steamers. Everything we ordered was excellent. I was especially pleased with the serving size. Some restaurants have a nice presentation, yet small serving size, but not Seaport, it had both. To top it off, the Sherry Berry is a dessert everyone must try! Perfect finish to a perfect meal. In addition to the restaurant itself and amazing food, the service was excellent. We were greeted by the extremely friendly manager, Carter, and were well taken care of by our personable waitress Kristina. She was so attentive and pleasant throughout our whole meal. Kristina was so busy, but she made us feel like we were her only party! By the end of our meal, we felt we made a friend during dinner and we will be back to see her requesting her table! Harbor Views, Fresh Seafood & Coastal Charm at Blue Collar Lobster Co.!…read more Few dining experiences capture the spirit of Gloucester quite like Blue Collar Lobster Co. This charming waterfront seafood spot earned an easy five stars from us and was the perfect place to enjoy a relaxing meal before heading to a concert at The Cut. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the setting. Located right on Gloucester Harbor next to the iconic Gloucester House Restaurant, this cozy nautical eatery offers everything you hope to find on the Massachusetts coast: refreshing sea breezes, colorful lobster boats bobbing in the harbor, seagulls soaring overhead, and spectacular waterfront views in every direction. Inside, the atmosphere is delightfully authentic. Hundreds of colorful fishing buoys hanging from the ceiling create a fun maritime feel that immediately reminds you that you're in one of New England's most historic fishing communities. Before long, the four of us were happily sampling some of the restaurant's fresh seafood favorites. We enjoyed creamy clam chowder, briny oysters on the half shell, succulent shrimp cocktail, and delicious Bang Bang shrimp, all accompanied by cold drinks and unbeatable harbor views. Every bite tasted fresh and flavorful. The ordering process is simple and convenient. Check out the menu, place your order at the window, grab a tray, and find a seat. If possible, choose a table in the screened porch overlooking the water. There's something magical about enjoying seafood while watching fishing boats come and go from the harbor just a few feet away. Blue Collar Lobster Co. offers an impressive menu featuring fresh lobster, handheld sandwiches, fried seafood platters, soups, and appetizers at reasonable prices. The combination of delicious food, friendly atmosphere, stunning scenery, and excellent value makes this a destination we'll gladly return to again and again. If you're visiting Gloucester and want an authentic waterfront seafood experience, don't miss this hidden gem on the harbor- on the Seven Seas Wharf! Highly recommended!

Hungry and with no time for deeper research, we decided to try Causeway Restaurant after seeing its high Yelp rating. The restaurant shares a small front parking lot with White Farms Ice Cream, but fortunately, we easily found parking in the back. Our first impression was that the place feels quite outdated. The tables are packed very closely together, making it difficult to get to your seat or even visit the bathroom without accidentally brushing against other diners. There's also only one bathroom for the entire restaurant, and it could definitely use some refreshing. The biggest issue during our visit was the heat. It was 86°F outside, and unfortunately, the air conditioning wasn't working. The restaurant was very hot, and I genuinely felt bad for the staff who had to cook and serve in those conditions. We also felt like the cutlery, dishes, and glasses were a little outdated and could use a refresh. Updating these small details would make the overall experience feel even nicer. On the positive side, Causeway is BYOB, which is a nice option. According to the menu, they charge $1 per glass for beer and wine setup. The menu prices are comparable to those at much fancier seafood restaurants. We ordered cheeseburgers from the kids' menu (ours were supposed to be medium but came out a little burnt), as well as smelt and fish-and-shrimp platters. The seafood itself was fresh, although we felt it could have used a little more seasoning and salt. The absolute best part of our experience was the service. Everyone was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and genuinely pleasant. Our server was especially attentive and wonderful with the kids. We even noticed how warmly she greeted regular customers and treated them almost like family. That kind of hospitality really stands out. Overall, I think Causeway has a lot of potential. The fresh seafood and excellent staff are a great foundation, but the restaurant would benefit significantly from some renovations, better spacing between tables, a refreshed bathroom, and working air conditioning. With those improvements, the fairly high menu prices would feel much more justified.

The hot dog roll looked small but was well filled with fresh sweet lobster meat. Her smoked salmon $8 were two thick chunks of fish. My hot in-shell boiled lobster arrived several minutes after, pre-cracked. Carefully poured out the green water, and I went at it. Making use of the sink by the bathroom afterwards to get cleaned up.
