Terrible. I ordered a croissant egg and cheese sandwich and it was sloppily made. Also they said the cheese was cheddar but it's actually the cheese substitute that you find at the grocery store made by Kraft...not real cheese. The pastries looked old and appetizing. We were in downtown Upland shopping, and saw this very nice Local Bakery shop. We went inside and we greeted with friendly service. First time in the bakery and wanted to order a custom Birthday cake. The gentleman working with us, which is the owner, explained everything to us and helped us easily with the order. He was kind enough to let us try a delicious pastry while waiting. We got a personalized text message and photo of the update with the Baker. She was very detailed about what we wanted to perfection. We decided to go with the Carrot cake and cream filling, and let me tell you, it was the best carrot cake ever! When we picked up the cake, and saw the way it came out, I was so impressed by the detail. They gave my son, who is 5 years old, a cookie. Such great service! I recommend you just try everything... lol... because there is no pastry, cake / cupcake, or sandwich that I didn't love. My sons love the spaghetti, and for the price - the portion and bread it's served with, it's a steal. This place is sooooo good! Especially their pastries! Everything I tried was just so delicious that I ended up buying a box for the office. One of them looked like a cheese roll from Porto's but it's actually a pastry with plantains in it! I was skeptical at first but when I first bit into it, it was definitely orgasmic haha then I tried their cheese and guava pastry and I don't like guava but that was super good too! Their empanadas were out of this world. I don't know what to say. They give Porto's a run for their money but I love but bakeries. This is definitely a keeper on my my bakery hit list! read more

It's a beautiful balance of sweet and flavorful (maybe just the perfect amount of salt achieved this). I sampled a few other yummies and everything was a hit! The pecan bar is so good, and the guava desserts are fantastic!!! They also make a turnover with bananas, yummy! Their cream puffs and eclairs are light and delicious too. They can customize cakes with the most amazing skill, and the flavors are spot on. There is a savory food menu as well, such as spaghetti, salads, and more. They cater to large events as well. We ordered a cake for our baby shower, (marble cake with both mocha and chocolate filling, with a bee theme) and it was a big hit. With my picky family, that's saying a lot . Even I'm not the biggest fan of cakes, but I ate three slices. They were very helpful in coming up with a design that fit our wants. Very kind and willing to accommodate our ever changing minds. What a nice little bakery and cafe!! I came by here because I had business to take care of in Ontario and I live very far away. I was sad I had to drive so far for something that would only take 3 min, so I decided to treat myself to somewhere nearby. I found this place from a quick search on Yelp and thought why not! The person who helped me was so very nice. He told me what he recommended for the day, and so I decided to try the Japanese curry empanada. It was sooo good! (I do have a bias for Japanese curry though mind you.) He heated it up for me and it was so flaky and delicious. I wish I lived closer so I can buy it for my friends and family for gatherings. I have no photos for the things I got because I gobbled it up immediately lol. I also got the oatmeal cranberry cookie and it's actually really good! I highly recommend trying them out if you love pastries and cookies. I would love to come again if I was ever in the area. Parking isn't so bad on Sunday morning and I was able to park right in front of the cafe. :) So glad to support a small local bakery and it was so delicious it made my day! read more

Found the most friendliest local bakery ever. This bakery has been located in downtown upland since 1895. The workers at are so friendly and kind. The worker wanted us to eat first before paying and he brought out the food for us. We ordered a Special Croissant Sandwich Breakfast & Ham/egg/cheddar breakfast sandwich. They were both paired with fresh crispy potatoes. I noticed that they sell individual slices of cake. I was very tempted to buy a slices but it was barely 9am...
