To say that The Local Joint was a pleasant surprise is an understatement. On our way out of town we stopped for breakfast and it was absolutely delicious. They had a Fried Green Tomato Benedict special and I requested it served over grits instead of an english muffin. It was simply wow! My husband had the All American Scrambler and said that it was fantastic. The service was great and the atmosphere was relaxed and fun. I wish we had come here (instead of going to another local restaurant who's food left quite a bit to be desired) earlier in our our trip! Thank you! read more

There is a reason this has become my favorite restaurant. The staff is very friendly & we always feel at home here. The specials vary from the very popular Friday night Fish Fry -- get there early before they sell out! -- to Taco Tuesday, which changes every week.
