Gosh I had the Best Bloody Mary! I guess they're known for this I had mine with bacon Olive and a cheese. This restaurant was absolutely modern and has a very cool vibe. It's also family friendly. The service was a professional and the recommendations from the menu. I did try the margarita and truffle flatbread Pizza. The portions are very decent and the flavors were exceptional. I think that I should come back to try the burger. It looked beefy from afar. Also, the velvet cheesecake was to die for so make room for it. I would recommend it if you're in the area. It looks like it's good for the locals. Plenty of parking.

The 3 star is solely based on my Mediterranean kebab dish - it was just... so...mediocre? It needed some SAUCE! It was dry and I was hoping for more bursts of flavor. The veggies were just some good ol steamed veggies akin to the kind I make at home. The only good thing was that it was a relatively balanced and healthy dish. Others at my table got the pulled pork sandwich (which came with a TON of fries and I wanted them so badly) and the tacos which also looked good. A red flag of the menu is the various cuisines offered, such as Asian, but I think sticking with the more pub or American foods would be safe. Came on a Tues evening at 5:30 and it was quite busy with a lot of families with young children too. Gave me a very Stars Hollow Gilmore Girls vibe - like it's truly the Local for the locals. There is a small parking lot for your convenience.

Bakes haddock, white wine, lemon, ritz crumb, baked sweet potato and green beans. Absolutely Delicious!!

I've been frequenting The Locale since they opened. Tonight the service, food was beyond awesome. I ordered the baked haddock. The ritz crumbles with lemon on top of the warm haddock tasted amazing. Sweet and tender. The accompanied crunchy green beans and well baked sweet potato was just as great. The Ambiance,. It was covid-sparse, yet they did it exceptionally well. Dim lighting against the dark wood setting and soft vocal music made you feel like you were at home & makes you want to return over and over again. Thank you Matt and Lindsay for making my return a great one.

Really good place to go for dinner or drinks. The food is always excellent and the ambiance is great as well.

Firstly, this is not an excuse driven review. However, with how crazy the world has been these last 2+ years, I completely understand how hard it has been to acquire, train, and maintain a quality staff. So, I am going to cut The Local some slack in regards to less than stellar service all the way around - No water refills, forgotten drinks, servers trying to deliver other people's food to our table multiple times (a food runner might be a good hire), and incorrect checks. Now to the food: Truffle fries were on point - good truffle flavor, nice dusting of Parmesan cheese - cooked perfectly Brussel Sprouts appetizer and accompanying side sauce were also a Home Run Salmon, Haddock, Chicken Sandwich, French Dip, Grilled Asparagus were all quality offerings, priced right and of decent portion size A nice, enjoyable, dinner out in an environment that's conducive to good conversation The 3.5 -3.75 average Yelp rating is exactly correct Solid restaurant

Paired with the bones were inedibly soggy "fries" on top, hiding the bones underneath. I called the restaurant twice and was ignored both times as they let the phone ring until the voicemail recording picked up. (Yes, they were still open.) Fast forward two hours and I haven't stopped getting sick. I am now violently ill. I literally passed out where I was sitting after eating from god knows what and have been getting sick ever since. I truly feel as though I was drugged and food poisoned at the same time. Absolutely unreal. Stay far, far away.

The men behind the counter and doing the cooking are friendly and you can tell they take pride in their food. This time in we split the floutas which were very good. But it was the quesabirria that was the star! It was made with braised beef, melted cheese, chopped onions and cilantro with a homemade consomé to dip it in. And I'm still thinking about it. Quick, simple and delicious- don't miss it. (Although it is called a bar & grill there is no bar)

A lot of places double up on the tortillas for this reason, but no need here. We ordered the birria, carnitas, and cabeza tacos, chicken sopes, beans, rice, sweet plantains, sweet rice pudding and horchata. Standouts were the carnitas and cabeza for me - very delicious in their simplicity, the meat is seasoned and cooked to perfection. Birria was also very good but overhyped IMO (novelty factor). The chicken sopes were way bigger than expected, could easily be a meal on its own and the masa tart was pretty good. Our table liked the green sauce to add zip to the food. It was very sunny when we went, so it was blinding and hot to be sitting inside, hope they install a shade at some point. They seem to only serve in takeout containers, so eating at a table requires getting a bit creative for a "plate" etc. There's a small lot behind the building and street parking is pretty easy. I will definitely be returning to try the lengua and more things next time!

We got the carne asade and chicken taco especial, the hibiscus tea, and churros! The tacos were delish! I usually opt for flour tortillas, however they make their corn tortillas and they are the soft ones, so I wanted to try it as it comes - I was not disappointed! The tacos come in 4 to a meal, so we so split two and two. Naturally, I prefer steak but both the chicken and steak were phenomenal. Lots of flavor!! The taco especial, has onions and cilantro and a nice lime squeeze on the side that is a nice flavor burst and addition. If you want the lettuce, cheese, tomato, etc. then you want the americano version. The tacos come with two sauces, both of which were spicy but you can tell were made/fresh! But that hibiscus tea - wow!! So delish! It was sweet and flavorful and a sip of freshness!! The churros were also incredible. Not that I didn't think I'd like the dulce de leche filling but it was um-yes yum! The outside was nice and crispy obv coated in cinnamon and sugar and then the inside was soft and doughy but not raw dough, just perfection. The dipping sauce was excellent too - they could provide a little bit more of it but we made it work. Anyways, highly recommend. It's fresh and authentic- clearly homemade with good ingredients!! Can't wait to try more from the menu!

I was eager to try a variety of tacos, though I was warned the tacos are quite small. It was a fair warning. I ordered 5 tacos, and expected to leave stuffed, but I was hungry again by 4:00pm. Eeeek. These are 3-bite tacos. Although small, I enjoyed the flavors of all the tacos I tasted. My favorites were the seafood varieties. 1) Baja fish - really crispy batter, creamy, spicy slaw 2) Yucatán shrimp - great texture, and spicy bean-like plantain puree. The pork belly was sweet, but a bit dry. In addition to the picked red onions, it could have used another saucy component. The carnitas and chorizo tacos were also good, but were less interesting for my palate. My five tacos were $20, without any sides or drinks. They have lots of shareable sides and appetizers, and I could easily drop a lot of $ filling up on their tasty bites while lingering in their lovely space.
