Ugh I love it here tbh! The views the food and of course my husband! Service is amazing. We always choose different items not on the menu. We must have the desserts!!

One of the best views of Laguna Beach is at the loft. I always say birthdays are better here... they truly are. The service is five star the food as well. I highly recommend you sit on the patio to take in all of the beautiful sunshine and salty air. One of my favorite restaurants.

The Loft is a very beautiful restaurant at the Montage in Laguna Beach. Dropped in to grab a bite and also work on a few things for work. The view was absolutely stunning. Can't beat the beach front location of this stunning hotel. Unfortunately, the food was just mediocre. Of course had to start off with my caffeine to wake me up. Ordered myself a latte with whole milk. This was absolutely fantastic. Did the job! Then wanted to go with something light and fresh, so went with the ahi tuna tartare to start. Ummm sorry to say but was not a fan. Felt it was a bit bland and not as refreshing as I would have hoped. Typical raw Tuna bites seasoned with tamarind dressing and served with a side of ikura (salmon roe). Paired with thin crispy rice crackers. Wanted to like it but honestly don't see myself ordering again Then decided to go with the crispy zucchini sandwich with side salad. But again not quite what I was expecting. The patty was made of fine julienne zucchini/carrots that were mashed into a patty with two buns. This was seasoned with macadamia nut crème fraîche. Honestly didn't have much flavor to it. Wouldn't recommend this dish either. The food wasn't what I was expecting. But the coffee was excellent and the view was unbeatable. Not too mention very good service. They do have a bar so wouldn't mind coming back out for drinks. Maybe try something else next time.

The Loft completely blew us away from start to finish. Even though it's considered their 'upscale-casual' restaurant, the hospitality is top-tier: everyone from the host and servers to the manager stopped by our table to greet us. As for the meal, we loved ordering a variety of small plates to share. The fresh sourdough bread felt like it was baked just for us. The Ahi Tuna Tartare was sensational, while the Whipped Ricotta was a total showstopper. The Seasonal Oysters paired with the chilled prawns were exceptionally clean and sweet. Finally, the tropical sweetness of the mango ice cream proved to be a brilliant pairing to cut right through the rich, dark chocolate of the hot soufflé. The Loft isn't a cheap date, but between the spectacular views, stellar plates, and a remarkably attentive team, all your senses will be satisfied!

We have been at the Loft Breakfast three times over our stay and the view on the mosaic pool is magnificent. The service is very friendly with Madison doing a fantastic job. Their croissants are freshly made in house and delicious and I don't say that easily as a Frenchman. They start bringing you a banana bread sprinkles with white sugar. The omelette orders have been a hit and miss as they brought us a normal omelette when we ordered an egg white omelette. But they immediately addressed the situation. You can hear the wave of the ocean calmly hitting the beach. It is serendipitously beautiful!

Some friends wanted to surprise my wife for her birthday and set up a brunch on Saturday, July 11th. The Montage is a beautiful property and the Loft dining area has a great view of the Pacific Ocean. While the menu is fairly small, there seemed to be enough options for everyone one. We were greeted by multiple members of the staff throughout the resort in a professional and friendly manner. Our group of ten enjoyed everything from a Bagel with smoked salmon, smashed burgers, omelettes, Caesar salad and the magnificent seafood platter. Service was great, Jonnie (apologies if spelled wrong) was on point, professional and attentive. Food was great. We valet parked and I'm not sure if there is another option as it's fairly tight at the entrance. Thank you to the Loft staff and to the Montage for a memorable day.

I'm sad to say that after many times coming here for special occasions we came today to celebrate our 20th wedding anniversary and we did not have a great experience. The food was just ok. We got the pasta bolognese. It wasn't anything special, tasted like something we could make at home. The lobster tail we had to take it back was very over cooked and bouncy. It was nothing special as well. We ordered dessert and it was ok. Didn't say Happy Anniversary. Especially being 20th anniversary we thought at the very least write something that says happy anniversary. We have pictures in past of the service staff going out of their way. We have had such great experiences before with amazing service this was just a normal mediocre dinner. We also asked for a smoked old fashioned as we also have a video in the past of having one here and we were told they no longer do that. So disappointed. Service was just ok. Waiter never asked if i wanted something additional. Took forever for my husband to get his drink. We decided to go and get something at the lounge. The service at the Lounge was amazing! Super appreciate how attentive they were and made our anniversary special. Our server brought over Hayley the manager and they brought us an anniversary dessert. I highly recommend The Lounge ! It was amazing! Drinks were also on point! We probably won't be back again to eat at the Loft. There are other places with better service and food. Very disappointing celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary.

Went here for a classy oceanside brunch What I tried: * Banana French Toast- This is what I ordered, and it was delicious It was fluffy and soft which I loved, and had caramel on top making it pretty sweet. The macadamia nuts weren't too overpowering or nutty which I liked, and the caramelized banana was a great topping. There was some whipped cream too that added to the sweetness * Caesar Salad- I shared this with one other friend as an appetizer. This was sooo good!!! There was a good amount of dressing, but not way too saucy- it was the perfect amount to bring the flavor. The shaved cheese, ricotta salata, was so light, airy and soft making the salad even more enjoyable. Thin crouton bits were on top, and these were also very light and satisfying to eat. * Raspberry Yuzu Mocktail- This was delicious and refreshing! It had raspberry and yuzu obviously, but also lychee, which definitely added to its amazing taste. I was worried the raspberry would make the drink feel medicinal, but that was not the case at all! It was fruity and sweet, and looked gorgeous. What my friends got: * Grains Bowl * Eggs Benedict They both liked their items! I had a bite of the grains bowl, and it was good for what it was. It's a great "healthier" option while still being flavorful and having variety on the plate. Located inside Montage Hotel & Resort in Laguna Beach, The Loft is a great restaurant for breakfast/lunch with a pleasant ambiance as it offers a gorgeous view of the ocean There's both indoor and outdoor seating- we waited a bit extra for the patio seating but it was worth it. The service was also great, the hostess and our server were so sweet and great to talk to.

Bella & Mikey have served us multiple times here and they have been so so good with myself and my friend Brenda whom I always come here to have business meetings with. (We live for the coffee steak) but everything is great! From the appetizers, drinks and the dessert! On top of a beautiful view. Thank you Bella & Mikey for being great servers and so kind! Always a pleasure to see you both.

Holy cow, I think this is the first fine dining experience I've been to and I was not disappointed. The montage is a beautiful hotel and this restaurant was an amazing addition to it. First of all, the waitress that greeted us at the door was incredibly nice and complimented my friend and I and we got sat down immediately facing the beach and we were met with our server who was so patient with us and explained the menu throughly which was amazing! We ended up taking our server's recommendation and ordering the caviar, NYC steak and the bolognese. In my opinion I think the caviar was okay, it was also my first time having it so maybe I just wasn't a fan of it in general..? However, the steak was phenomenal. I wish I could have 30 if I could, the flavors of this steak just melt all together and I appreciate the addition of the coffee flavoring and the Brie that comes with the steak, everything was just curated so intentionally and you can taste it. The pasta was also so amazing the sauce was cooked perfectly and paired well with the noodles. They also gave me a complimentary dessert because it was my birthday as well! I was obsessed and I hope to come back again! Great views and great bites.

Milad was the best server ever!!! He suggested the New York steak and it was seriously the best steak I ever had in my life! It felt like I was in the ratatouille movie and the view was spectacular!

I've been to The Loft at Montage Hotel twice now -- once for lunch with my husband and once solo for dinner -- and overall, it's a beautiful spot with great food. During our first visit for lunch, we had fresh juices, the grain bowl, and a Caesar salad. Everything was delicious and well-prepared. Unfortunately, the terrace was not an option due to ongoing construction as it was very loud, which definitely took away from the experience. We were really hoping to enjoy the outdoor seating and the views. For my second visit, I came alone for dinner. Even though there were plenty of empty tables, they made me wait about 10 minutes to be seated, which felt a bit unnecessary. But once I was seated, the rest of the experience was enjoyable. I ordered the scallops -- there were only three on the plate, but they were actually quite satisfying and tasted great. Definitely more on the light and elegant side. Overall, I do like this place and would come back -- especially once the construction is finished. Sitting on the terrace seems like a big part of the full experience, and I'd love to enjoy it properly next time.

Opened in 1947, the place has closed and re-opened intermittently under different owners, and most recently underwent a historic renovation process that more-or-less returns it to its origins. What you'll find here is a tiki bar that feels less like a time warp into another dimension, but rather, one that returns you to a time when tiki bars were full of things that evoke both Hawaii and the rest of Polynesia. This environment pretty much demands a rum-based cocktail and several patrons (including the band) appeared to have gotten well into the spirits. From a seat at the bar I enjoyed not just the music of the 3-person band, a good view of the surroundings, and a Nui Nui (cocktail, $19) but also a shared Spam Musubi ($7.95, excellent) and extravagantly lengthy Lumpia ($19.95). The Musubi, as indicated, was delicious and though I hadn't the appetite, a watched another bar patron sharing a fabulous looking order of poke nachos. So the drinks aren't the only reason to come here. Probably for good cause, the Royal Hawaiian isn't a late-night place. On Friday and Saturday they close at 10pm and on other days at 9pm. With a fun and lively atmosphere, great cocktails, and some really interesting food options, the reborn Royal Hawaiian is a fun and worthy spot to at which to spend an evening.

Decent New American/Breakfast/Brunch spot in Laguna Beach. I came here for a friend's birthday with…read morea big group on a Sunday and the experience was alright. Going down the list of dishes I tried here: -Miso Garlic Noodles: Solid and good flavor. Nothing special and overpriced for what they were. -Avocado Wontons: These were interesting. It was like a vegan poke only that it's watermelon. Not bad, but the 'wontons' weren't actual wontons. -Ahi Poke Stack: Solid poke and I enjoyed the creamy avocado. Also a bit overpriced considering the portion size. -Matcha Martini: Pretty disappointing. Couldn't really taste any matcha. Only tasted like a sweet and creamy cocktail. -Chilaquiles: Overall enjoyable. I liked the crispy chips. However, the servers forgot my eggs which was annoying, but they brought it out later with an additional egg. -Crispy Fried Calamari: Tasty and I liked the sauce. Calamari wasn't the greatest quality itself though. Service was pretty slow and the servers seemed to forget many details when taking orders which caused service delays wasn't optimal. The interior was decent and not dirty. For parking, there's a good amount located at and around the Pavilions parking lot. Overall, I probably wouldn't come back here again. It just seemed like a standard chain restaurant. It is located walking distance from the beach though.

Laguna Beach: Ample parking and outdoor seating is always a plus in any beach city. We made…read morereservations and glad we did. It was a weekend and the place filled quickly. Loud crowd! Ordered: Salmon Citrus salad. The salmon was cooked perfectly, and my friend was very happy with the amount of salmon to salad ratio. Attractive dish! Sliced Steak & Potato Salad was a nice portion of sliced steak, a decent warm potato salad, and a great side salad. I can't remember if that was one of her side options, but it was a solid choice. Steak was ordered medium rare and it was definitely all rare - but edible. Sometimes it's not a good option to send it back. Fear of over cook. Blackened Halibut Sandwich was my choice and the fresh tasting halibut was cooked to perfection. I would go lighter on the blackened seasoning next time and skip the non-crispy onions straws. Love those but most definitely they were prepped long before we got there. Minor culinary issue as the halibut sandwich was a delicious combo of fresh ingredients that I had to deconstruct so I could manage to eat it. I think only a mega shark could take a bite of this sandwich as it was meant to be built! So it nicely transformed into a Blackened Halibut Salad plate with a highly recommended crispy Caesar salad for the side. I enjoyed every bite. I would go here again. Service was courteous and prompt, and our food was served on the spot. We were too full to try their recommended warm butter cake. Next time it's Brussel sprouts and desert! Well, maybe a side of a self-deconstructed Halibut Sandwich.
