Great for late night eats. The buffalo rolls are the best if you're wanting a snack. The games are a bonus!

This is a cute place! Came here for brunch and had the egg omelette with hash browns and mimosas. Came here another time on a Saturday night for drinks and it was semi busy. They have music playing throughout the night. They have many tvs that are nice for sports games. The food tastes pretty good but it is on the pricey side for appetizers. read more

We just hosted a brunch for over 100 guests at The Loop & everything turned out fabulous. The buffet food had a great variety to please all appetites, the pricing was very reasonable, a very attentive wait staff made the whole process flow smoothly. They were clearing plates quickly to make room for more plates, as well as refilling the food when needed. So many of our guests told us how much they enjoyed the food as well. read more

I was looking for someplace new and came across The Loop at West End. After I checked out the menu online, I noticed they had a nice variety so decided to give them a try for dinner on a Friday night. I guess my first clue should have been the ease in getting a reservation but the half empty restaurant added to my suspicions. On the plus side it's a great space with lots of reclaimed wood, large booths and a stylish vibe. I'm thinking they aspire to be a sports bar because there are around 25 TVs all over the place. There were 5 of us and 4 of us began with one of their specialty cocktails. I had a champagne cocktail that unfortunately tasted like frothy strawberry jello, my brother's ginger beer cocktail was almost to sweet to drink and my wife's margarita was just ok. On the plus side, happy hour prices go to 6:30 (another ominous sign, indicative of perhaps a struggling establishment). We started with a plate of chicken nachos for the table (probably the best food of the evening). For entrees our group tried the shredded pork quesadillas (ample but just ok), chicken mac and cheese (nothing special), fish tacos (big pieces of fried fish-average) and a really disappointing plate of fried chicken (3 oddly shaped, overly browned pieces of chicken that were nothing to write home about). The service was very uneven despite the sparse crowd. Bottom line, for me tonight, our experience was disappointing. I'm not likely to be back. read more

The Loop West End has a cool vibe and would be a fun spot to hang out and watch a game, or grab dinner, were the service better and prices reasonable. This is a place where you'll get seated and not see a server for 5-10 minutes, or where they'll charge you for a double without telling you (for about an ounce of liquor on ice). We ordered takeout through UberEats on a busy Friday night and had a very positive experience. The blackened chicken melt w/ avocado was sooo good and traveled very well. The fries didn't travel as well but that's to be expected - the side of mac & cheese made up for that. Sooo rich and delish! They fulfilled the order on time and I was glad to see all the staff wearing masks when I walked in to pick up the food. Since my initial review, I've been back several times and my faith has been restored! Had a great salmon bowl, their delicious buffalo chicken wontons, and a tasty huevos rancheros breakfast. If you haven't had their buffalo chicken wontons, you're missing out! Previous Review: Unfortunately, what The Loop has going against it is a lack of consistency. About two months ago, I had a fantastic salmon bowl here. The rice was cooked to perfection, the salmon was flavorful and the delicious sunny-side-up egg was runny and the perfect consistency to mix into my bowl. Flash forward to our most recent visit: the rice was undercooked, the sunny-side-up egg was cooked almost all the way through, the chipotle mayo had discolored on the top which indicates it'd been sitting for awhile and the salmon was somewhat mealy. Our waiter, while nice, only checked on us maybe three times and wasn't extremely personable. Overall, a fairly "meh" experience aI'm sure I'll be back but hoping for an improvement next time. read more

Hip atmosphere, great service, but only so-so food. The location is perfect for us western burb dwellers. On a weeknight I'm not adventurous enough to travel downtown but the West End is right within range. I arrived at 5pm on a Wednesday to slide in before happy hour closed down at 630pm. The place was packed, not crotch to butt packed because they have lots of open space, but all of the tables were full so we waited about 15 mins. The clientele for happy hour is what you would expect, lots of young professionals mixed in with old guys in business trips wearing pinstripe suits. The decor made me think I was at Restoration Hardware, it was pretty hip for sure. The server was a highlight of our visit. Paige accommodated us with quick drink service, quiet checkins, and fast bill paying. She wasn't quite sure how to describe the style of pizza that they serve but I'll forgive that. The food certainly could have better. I'm a huge pizza fanatic to say the least, but the pizza here is unacceptable in my eyes. They do have a fake wood oven, with "logs" in the back, but it's all gas. It is certainly possible to get great pizza with a gas oven, but the crust was just terrible. Flat, lacking any flavor but sugar, it could easily be folded but added nothing to the toppings. The toppings were not high quality. I couldn't tell the difference between this sausage and anything you could get at dominos pizza. Too bad, they have a dedicated pizza station and two piazzaiolos ready to make artisan pizzas, but the dough recipe just isn't there. The curry wings were the highlight of my happy hour. Good moist chicken and the flavor was spot on. I could taste a bit of Garam Marsala but it could have had more for sure. It would be nice if they offered a curry wing dipping sauce vs blue cheese or ranch. The final thing I ate was fish tacos, which were ok but not something I would get again. Overall, great place to meet after work, see and be seen, or to grab bar food. I wouldn't consider this as any type of destination for fine dining, and I would stay away from the pizza. read more

So today myself and a friend (two black woman) decided to enjoy HH at the Loop. Each ordered food and a mojito. Sat on the patio where there were tons of bees. I informed our waitress Lily that there had been a bee flown in my cup. Prior to getting her attention i'd poured water inside the cup to make sure the bed did not fly out. Asked our waitress if I could get another drink since the bee was inside my cup and visible. She replaced my mojito without any complaints. However, her manager came accusing me of stealing a drink after pulling the cameras and seeing me pour water in the cup. Never asked questions to get a clear understanding as to why I poured water in the cup. I never mentioned not paying for it either. The manager simply stated the waitress mentioned my drink seemed watered down. And the waitress had concerns of me trying to steal a drink. After being humiliated and letting the manager know the issue. He then continued to hand me the bill with the drink added that I supposedly tried to steal. I spoke to the general manager as well who didn't seem to care that her employees had accused me of stealing. Its unbelievable that someone would go as far as pulling the cameras as we're wrapping up then accuse you of stealing a drink that's on the HH menu without conversation or questions regarding the incident! Visited at lunchtime a few days ago. I've been here a number of times and always enjoy my experience. I brought a friend with me who had never been before. From Pizza to Jambalaya it's always good food. The staff is great and love the atmosphere. The music can get a bit loud when it's busy but overall, I'll always go again and will recommend to others. read more

The Loop was highly recommended by a friend so I went to check it out with my boyfriend on a Saturday night around 8:30PM. We called ahead to get reservations in case they were packed but definitely didn't need them, tons of seating! VIBE | Incredible atmosphere! I love the look! Really modern with just enough rustic charm, clean lines and plenty of tv's to catch any game you want. The crowd consisted of couples, some groups of friends and a bachelorette party.. but seemed pretty low key. SERVICE | Our server was prompt, checked on us the perfect amount and was knowledgable about the menu. the staff as a whole was very friendly and welcoming. We ordered our food - my boyfriend ordered a side salad and it never came. He ended up eating the salad that came with my food so we never mentioned it and she didn't either - one of my biggest pet peeves. FOOD | I ordered the special of the night, Coconut Shrimp with a vinaigrette salad on the side. The shrimp were good - nothing spectacular but I'd order it again, fairly priced. my boyfriend ordered the Mahi-Mahi which came with vegetables it wasn't very much food at all for the larger price tag and was "fine." All in all, I'm glad we checked it out. I probably wouldn't go out of my way to go back but if I was near there I'd try it again. read more

Manager is rude and aggressive. Was a regular until experiencing and overseeing multiple instances of her being confrontational for no reason. She treated me like I must be too intoxicated to reason with her when I was not even drinking and she enforces ridiculous, unreasonable rules that are not listed anywhere in the facility just because she's on a power trip. Began name calling and arguing without even announcing her role to patrons. Sad to see such a fun place ruined by poor management. read more

Stopped in for drinks, appetizers, and dinner with some colleagues from work. For apps we had buffalo chicken wontons, which were very good, and tenderloin tip skewers, which were a little overdone. I had the Juicy Loopy burger for dinner. While I didn't expect the Loop's take on a Minnesota classic to be on par with Matt's Juicy Lucy, it fell well below my expectations. Here's my experience. Two weeks ago, I was kicked out of the bar for apparently being too intoxicated (I've never been kicked out of a bar before this). I was targeted for some reason although many many other people were far more intoxicated than I was. When I was dragged out of the bar violently by a female bouncer, I was angry, angry that for some reason, they kicked out the only Asian woman. I yelled at them and I felt every right to. The bouncers physically INJURED me (in the women's bathroom) before I even started yelling at them. When that occurred, I had to say something. For the past few years going to the Loop, every now and then I will hear comments from the bouncers saying "that one Chinese girl is here again". First of all, I'M NOT EVEN CHINESE!, second of all, your management doesn't even to bother listening to my side for even one second. Your company is full of unethical practices (including being fined for not following COVID procedures). When I feel persecuted and discriminated against, of course I will yell and speak my voice! I now know why my Asian friends avoid going to the Loop. They always felt unwelcomed and uncomfortable every time they went. Now they have "banned me" from going there and it's fine with me. Their business is just disgusting. I hope everyone gets to read this and avoid going to the Loop. read more

Decent place. The menu offers some of the traditional bar faves, with a few pleasant twists and surprises. A couple of observations: I ordered a bottled cider rather than what was on tap. It arrived in a can, and no accompanying glass. Most places I've been with their prices, it would have automatically come with a chilled glass. No worries, I requested a glass. Issue resolved. I had the butterscotch creme brûlée for dessert. The taste and presentation were en pointe, but the consistency once the the crust was cracked was like soup. Totally watery, and kind of ruined the dish. Not the consistency it should have been. It did come with a side of oatmeal cookies, which were very tasty. read more

Another great establishment in the west end! The bar here is huge and basically wraps around the whole restaurant. The space is way bigger on the inside than you would expect, and they have plenty of seating for booths, high tops and regular tables. I came here for happy hour with some friends and we got the hummus and buffalo wontons along with some drinks. The cocktails are delicious and the wine list is pretty vast as well. For once I didn't get any beer but they had a good selection of drafts. I could not stop eating the buffalo wontons because they were so yummy. The crispy wontons with buffalo sauce drizzled on top and then dipped in blue cheese hit the spot. The hummus plate was good for sharing with the veggies and pita. This is a great place to catch up with friends or catch a sports game on their TVs. read more

Great customer service here! During the whole Coronavirus thing I ordered curb side takeout and once I got home I realized my pizza order was incorrect. I called back and they offered to make me a new pizza and let me keep the first one. When I pulled up Brian brought my pizza out and even gave me a gift card for my next visit. This was my second visit here and this time we stopped for a late lunch during a Vikings game. It seemed very understaffed. Most people had empty glasses and we waited a long time to even get water. The environment was so loud due to the tv speakers you couldn't converse at a table without shouting. Our food did arrive quickly, but I was very underwhelmed with the food. I expected better for the prices. I ordered a BOGA burger and the bottom bun was soggy and dripping with grease. It was disgusting. I asked the server for mayo to go with the fries and after waiting 20 minutes I was done. It is a flashy menu but still just a loud understaffed bar that happens to have poorly prepared fancy food. read more

Women forced to keep their drinks on a table being "monitored" by a bouncer when they go into the bathroom??? Beyond inappropriate, scary and NOT OKAY. We don't know your staff, just because he was kind doesn't mean we should feel safe leaving our open drinks on table next to a stranger. Will not be coming back. I may be a little biased because, during my visit here, the weather was so bad that it would have felt awesome to be in just about any heated establishment. But The Loop was a genuinely cozy, pleasant place to pass some time! And my food was pretty good, with a lot of promise on the menu that will definitely lure me back pretty soon. There's quite a range of fanciness on this menu, with some interesting-sounding over-$20 entrees, but also fish & chips and my choice this evening, the "Juicy Loopy". It's a Juicy Lucy stuffed with bacon-inflected melted cheddar. It was good, and nicely presented. The fries were good too. The ketchup was, I dunno, different or something, and it was good. Service was fast and friendly, although the weather was really doing its best to keep people from going out to cute restaurants, so there's that. I like The Loop and I want to go back and try some of their other things. read more

Chose this venue for the for the Vikes game...I bought two craft beers to start out with...tab was over $20.00 with a 20% tip to the bartender. The atmosphere was nice and we had a nice server at our table. With craft beer prices like these...I won't be back any time soon! read more

I've never eaten here before, only gone to the bar 3 times after 10pm, so I cannot speak for the restaurant side of this place. Each time I've been here the security employees have been nothing but rude and pretentious. On two different occasions I've been told that I cannot wear the clothes I have on inside (khaki shorts and a solid blue tee the first instance and a football jersey the next. The first time I was denied entrance by the bouncer, and the 2nd time I was let in but confronted by an employee). I would have been able to understand the football jersey, if I hadn't seen atleast 5 or 6 other people wearing Twins jerseys in the bar. Unless that man went up to everyone wearing jerseys throughout the night and told them exactly what he told me, which was "next time you come here, you won't be wearing a f*ing jersey, you got that?," I'd say he needs a new job outside of the service industry. I wouldn't compare St. Louis Park to Uptown or North Loop in class or standards, and ironically I've never had an issue at any of the Uptown or North Loop bars wearing the exact same clothing. The bouncers here are rude and inconsiderate, and they treat their jobs as if they were security guards at high end nightclubs in Miami. To be fair it's been the same bouncer all 3 times. I understand being assertive towards people who are too drunk and causing a scene, but I've been grabbed and told to "get the f*** out of here" after I needed to walk back to the bathroom to grab a girlfriend as they started to turn the lights on in the bar. This passed weekend I was told by a girlfriend of mine that she was told to "get the f*** out of the bar" for waiting inside a few minutes after the lights went on to call a friend for a ride home in the pouring rain. This is what caused me to write this review. As for the bar itself, it's pretty fun and bartenders do a great job, but it's very loud and the drinks are crazy expensive. Those few security employees really make this place undesirable. Won't be coming back. read more

Went there for the first time for Father's Day brunch. Was not very busy, and we were given a dirty table. I had to clean off the booth, which was covered with some sticky substance, with my napkin and my water. Asked the waitress to switch tables since ours was filthy and she said she could wipe it off for us, basically saying no we could not switch tables when the place was half empty. We had to point out all the caked on food for her to scrub off or else she was just going to quickly wipe over it and go. I got the basic breakfast, wasn't anything special. My boyfriend got the basic breakfast with ham, and the ham was basically deli ham that was over cooked and dry. Not worth going back here. read more

As I sit here, I'm looking at my plate of half eaten food that has been sitting at the end of the table for over 15 minutes. I do not expect much when I go out to eat but when you are charging an average of $16 a plate, please pay attention and wait on our table. When water is empty, fill it, when we are done eating, please clear our table. That simple. Also, beware that your beer back for the bloody you ordered will be a .75 cent charge. You aren't asked if you want a beer back, it is brought to you with out awareness of the charge. It's not the $ that upsets me but if I didn't ask, don't bring it. Out of everything we ordered (nachos, veggie omelet, Cuban, side of mac) they ONLY thing that was eatable was the mac and cheese. The omlete was rubber, the cheese on the nachos hard, and the salad was wilted and on its last shelf life. Oh and it took about 20 mins to get this unimpressed meal. Fail. read more

I love loop.This is my happy place with nice food and music. They have very extensive stylish decor with wood and leather.There is a spacious bar booth with lot of cocktail options.Their long island ice tea is so good. They have a descent list on food menu .The buffalo chicken wontons are so yummy. Wontons filled with cheese and buffalo chicken .Other dishes I have tried are Loaded Nachos ,wings ,fish tacos and Pizza.All were delicious.Loop had Small dance floor and they have DJ on friday and saturday night.The restaurant will be packed with nice crowd during the weekends. There is a big closed parking lot in behind the resturant. The staffs are really helpful. read more
