Our server, I believe her name was Casey, was lovely. She was friendly and seemed to know a lot of the regulars by name which gave the restaurant a welcoming feel. I ordered the Danish pancakes (Æbleskiver), and they were absolutely delicious. They came with house-made lemon curd and lingonberry jam, and both were incredible. The lemon curd was rich and creamy with just the right amount of tartness, while the lingonberry jam added a sweet-tart flavor that paired perfectly with the fluffy pancakes. Four of them were more than enough to fill me up. My husband ordered the Pytt i Panna, a traditional Swedish hash made with crispy potatoes, bell peppers, and onions, topped with two soft-baked eggs and served with pickled beets and Nordic rye toast. It was hearty, comforting, and full of flavor. The pickled beets were a nice contrast to the savory hash, and everything on the plate was scrumptious! Between the delicious food, welcoming service, and dog-friendly patio, we had a very nice time and it was a good send-off before our walk through the woods to find Ole Bolle. The fish plate was our family favorite - an epic collection of shrimp, mini shrimps, gravlax, pickled herring (our favorite) various breads, crackers and sauces.
