Okay, this place was a lot better than I expected!! Last minute a day before Valentine's Day we made a reservation here and it seems like it would be casual, but the service is stellar like you are at fine dining, and the food was top notch too. The inside was pretty and well lit with nice wooden tables and booths. First off we got the honey corn bread which was to DIE for!! We also had the Mac and cheese which was phenomenal. Drinks were great also we got the espresso martini and a Moscow mule. I ordered the salmon which came on risotto which were both amazing. My boyfriend got the steak and he said it was pretty good. They did not do anything special however for Valentine's Day like any free desserts, and the place was not that busy. But we had a great time for a last minute reservation, and I would be excited to try more of the menu. I would caution that their menu does change though, we thought they had pork belly on the menu (one of our faves which is part of why we were sold on eating here) but it was not on the menu at that time which was a little disappointing. read more

My parents live in the west valley, so when they come to my side of town I always try to take them to places they've never been. Their first time here was outstanding and they already can't wait to go back. Emma is a gem. You can tell she absolutely loves what she does and my parents loved how hospitable she was. Food & Drinks: Crown Royal with a cube of ice. Housemade Smoked Salmon Duroc Pork Chop with shoestring fries and candied pancetta The smoked salmon was devine!!! I would highly recommend it. The crackers seemed like it was toasted with butter. We had to order more crackers because the ratio of crackers and salmon is not enough. Not their fault, I should have put more salmon to even it out. The Duroc Pork Chop was tender and flavorful. I loved every bite. I was not a fan of the fries as it was cold. This 5 stars goes out to the chicken biscuit sandwich on the happy hour menu. Fan-freakin'-tastic. Service was great here as well. I will say that the above two carried the BBQ brisket sandwich, as that was a "met expectations" nothing more, nothing less. Came here with a couple of friends before a comedy show on a Friday night around 8pm. The place was not packed out so I'm not sure what took so long to order and receive drinks. I got the lir margarita and it was regular to me, nothing really stood out. As for food, we got the brussels sprouts appetizer which is very tasty and I suppose now a tradition each time I come here. For my entree, I ordered the NY strip with loaded potato. The potato wasn't incredibly loaded and although my steak was tasty, at $40 I wish it was cooked to medium rare that I ordered instead of the medium I was given. Friends!! We celebrated our dear friend's birthday at The Macintosh tonight. The experience was fantastic, the atmosphere was buzzy, our service team was super attentive, and the food was GREAT!!! They have a fantastic happy hour menu, and we loved that. The menu has an abundance of choices, ranging from vegetarian options to all kinds of meats! The salads, sandwiches, and pork chop were well seasoned and flavorful, but the macaroni and cheese took the spotlight. The chef himself came out with a special desert to honor our friend's birthday, which was beyond our expectations. I highly recommend trying out this great new find. Tis the season for Holiday celebrations and last night was no exception. We checked out The Macintosh for our friend group Christmas dinner. We had a reservation and were immediately seated. Our server was Anastasia (I'm sorry if I butchered that spelling!) and she was awesome. Attentive, offered suggestions and even followed us outside afterwards to take a pic next to a wall she thought was better for pics than inside the restaurant. Food and drinks were phenomenal. A couple of us ordered their Christmas special drink which was called a Rudolph something. It was supposed to be gin based, mixed with some sort of lemon and finished with a cranberry ice cube. Neither of us are gin drinkers so both switched the gin for vodka and it was delish! We ordered a few shareables for the table: Crispy Brussels, Burrata + Toast and Bacon Mac and Cheese. Everything was great! I'd reorder any of those again. For our meals 2 ordered the Braised Short Ribs, one ordered the Pork Chop and I had the Blackened Red Fish but swapped the Dirty Orozo for their Garlic Brussel Risotto. Our server highly recommended the Risotto several times so I felt like I couldn't pass it up and was not disappointed. My fish was super flavorful and cooked perfectly. For dessert we ordered 2 slices of the Butterscotch Pecan Pie for the table. The chef also sent out a slice of the Key Lime, which I thought was super nice! Let me tell you I love me some some butterscotch and to put with pecan pie was superb. However it may have been the best key lime pie I've ever had. Had been here once before and what we remembered for sure is that their Brussels are spectacular... so of course we needed to order them again as a starter... Just as delicious as ever!!!! I love Brussel sprouts but not everywhere masters how to prepare and serve them. The Macintosh definitely does (kudos chef). We'd made our reservation on OpenTable, and when we arrived, were given the choice to sit inside at a tall table or outside. Since they have a thick see through plastic barrier covering the outdoor area, we opted for "outside"; but there were also heaters on to keep us warm. I had a short sleeve on and was able to take my coat off, so I was a happy gal - this was about 8pm, 50ish degrees outside. We both ordered a drink. I had a Paloma and he enjoyed a Crispy Lager (by 4 peaks). My Paloma was delicious, it has a dash of grapefruit, and the salt on the rim was perfect, they were big chunks (yay!). As an entre I asked our server, Annie, to help me choose between the tuna, the salmon, or the black and blue New York steak. She said the blue cheese on top of the steak was "out of this world" so I couldn't say no to that. My steak came with a loaded baked potato, and the skin was yummy too (nice crispy and seasoned). Bae ordered the short rib, which he had last time too. Hai came with mashed potatoes that were flavorful and creamy. We had to try the dessert and I gave in and let him choose and we split the Pecan pie... it was SO GOOD. It was creamy, and kind of like a custard, but the pecans and the heaping pile of handmade whipped cream just really made it even better. We also had a scoop of vanilla ice cream and it was heavenly. I must however, try next time, the bread pudding... Annie told us it was also divine but the portions were large, and we definitely had leftovers to take home after our app and two entrees. Ok, now to the good stuff and might I add it's really, really good! The Brussels sprouts (complimentary app) was to die for. If you are not a big fan of the little baby cabbages bc your parent might have over cooked them in your youth, then you MUST, I repeat you MUST try these!!! This is the way to eat and enjoy Brussel sprouts. Char'd and topped with salted bacon and drizzled with balsamic dressing, you will go back for 2nd or 3rds. Not a bad way to get your greens in! We had such an incredible time here!! Unfortunately we were only here for the weekend since we were there for spring training. The food was phenomenal and cooked to perfection. We got a rack of ribs with meat falling off the bones! One thing that is not pictured here is the loaded potato which was also delicious. My personal favorite was the salmon with the creamy lemon risotto so so good!! Salmon was perfectly cooked and well seasoned. The service was amazing! We sat at the bar since it was quite busy during dinner time. If we had to choose again we would want to sit at the bar again. Seating itself was comfortable, and we had Tanner as our bartender and let me say he's the best!!! He was able to give us recommendations, always made sure that we had what we needed without being overbearing. Tanner was friendly, professional and extremely hardworking! He was on top of everything. The pricing wasn't bad for what we got either. For the amount of food and quality I think it is very well priced. Also, they have a large drink menu. We didn't feel like drinking that night but looking around, everyone's drinks looked so yummy. This place itself had such a great vibe to it! We saw other folks from spring training , people on dates and with family. The decor in there makes you feel like you're in a sophisticated restaurant, but it's still very warm and inviting. Vinny recommended his top three dishes- the salad with crunchy noodles, the salmon with risotto, and the short rib. I ended up getting the Brussel sprouts, short rib, and the salmon. Everything was cooked so well and was so flavorful. I had absolutely no complaints. The dishes appeared a bit small, but boy were they filling! For the salmon especially, I asked for an extra side of their kale spinach butter which was soooo flavorful! Unfortunately, I didn't have any room for dessert. A colleague and I were on our way back from meetings, and he asked me to find a lunch spot. As an avid yelper, I immediately bypassed Google, straight for Yelp, and this came up -- I'm so glad! The look and feel of the joint is great, and there is a beautiful outdoor patio. They were nearly full, with lunch just beginning to clear out (it was 1:15). We were seated quickly by the very pleasant hostess. They had two kinds of iced tea - black and green; I ordered the green and it was super light and refreshing. For lunch, I ordered the Waldorf Salad, which was a deconstructed version of the classic, and was absolutely delicious. My colleague had the Crispy Chicken sandwich, which he said was very tasty . . . all I know is there was not a bite or a fry left on his plate! First timer at the Macintosh! Wanted to try somewhere different for dinner while visiting my brother. Since we don't have this restaurant in California we decided to dine here. We started our meal with their amazing Brussel sprouts. The one thing that would made it perfect is a sprinkling of feta or goat cheese to balance out the sweetness. Our entrees consisted of the cowboy full rack of baby back ribs with their tangy coleslaw and the Black and blue New York strip steak and the kale and spinach. Both were very good. The dishes here are well-seasoned and come in sizable portions that will definitely fill you up. I was especially impressed with how well-balanced the southern shrimp and grits were. The cheddar and jalapeno wasn't overpowering, and the shrimp was flavorful without being excessively salty. Plus, while I'm not usually the biggest bread person, I absolutely enjoyed the taste and perfectly crisped texture of the bread. FOOD : To start we shared some famous Brussels sprouts that were drool worthy. Coated in balsamic and charred, with sprinkles of bacon -- say no more. Could've had three plates! I ordered the rotisserie chicken and genuinely loved it. The chicken was juicy but crispy, not too greasy and cooked just right. I got a side of grilled asparagus and they were a little on the harder side but I still enjoyed my portions and didn't feel sluggish afterward. My husband got the steak and said it was awesome, he wouldn't have changed a thing! It definitely is on the pricey side, but for the quality and taste it's worth it. My friends had just gotten married and they brought out around 5 different plates of dessert slices for everyone to enjoy on the house - loved that!!!
