My best friend's bday. He wanted darts. Pool. Beer. Thirsty bar provided. We walked in, and there were only two other people there, and the bartenders were changing shifts. The bartender leaving poured our drinks but was already closed out financially. We waited for Alicia to get on to give us change so we could tip the early bartender. We dealt with that, and then spent the night with Alicia. She was amazing, warm, welcoming, and just a treat for us 40 something's. We will come back because of her. She had a hospitality spirit I wish to see in my work as a hotel general manager. If everyone was inclined like she was (granted, maybe tonight specifically?), I would hire her in an instant. Loved our experience and while my best friend's and I never go out these days (we have Murtaugh syndrome - we too old for this s***), Alicia made our night EPIC. Stumbled into this little dive while waiting for our table at Rantei. The bartender was super chill and friendly. They had a projector playing the Warriors game with sound which is rare. The music playlist is all hip hop and Bay Area slaps. They also have a pool table for $2 a game. Drink prices are also very affordable. Def check this place out! read more

Before I get into the positive, the only bad thing about this bar & why I rated it 4 stars. College night is absolutely terrible. The whole bar is completely FULL of drunk college kids, half who don't even look like they're 21, this makes it nearly impossible to walk anywhere. This is extremely dangerous. If a fire broke out, many wouldn't be able to leave, would get stomped on... etc. I have no idea how this is even allowed. It's truly disappointing. Besides "college night" - this bar is amazing otherwise. The drinks are at a reasonable price. The bartenders are extremely helpful and welcoming. I've never had a bad experience with any staff. The people are usually older which I love. They do stand up comedy on Tuesday, which is great. I do recommend this bar strongly. Just not on college night.. unless you want to feel like you're in a hot sauna or feel like you're a sardine. read more

Nick is the startender we all want to be... he is the BEST. We love his pool tournaments Wednesdays. Love the COLLEGE NIGHTS AT THIRSTY- it's like a mini club. 10pm to close it's usually packed Thursday night! The manager and staff are pretty down to earth and seem like a good team for the place. After dinner at Mio Vicino on July 11, 2023, Edward, Ray, Garry and I decided to walk a few steps to the Thirsty Bar to treat birthday boy Brent to some celebratory drinks. We walked in shortly after 9:15 PM. The bar was practically empty, only a table or two occupied, maybe a couple of people at the bar counter, and two people playing pool. Needless to say, we immediately found a table to seat ourselves. A mix of 70's and 80's songs was playing along which Brent was joyfully singing. The bar was dim with lights coming from the game area as well as from the television screens playing sports above the bar. In the dark, the venue appeared to be well kept, even the women's bathroom was clean, pretty pristine compared to the filthy toilet at Mio Vicino. No table service here...or just on the night of our visit. No worries, the bar counter was only a few steps away from our table to place our drink orders. Transaction time from placing orders to receiving the drinks was quick and easy, as it should be. We ordered two rounds during our visit of about a couple of hours. The Thirsty Bar looks like it has potential to be a cool local bar hangout, attracting crowds, especially if they play good music. I wouldn't be surprised if some dancing occurs here. I, myself, wouldn't drive nearly an hour from my house just to a grab a drink here unless it's for a planned special event with others. One observation that I should mention - as we were sitting, enjoying our drinks, a customer walked out and had a yelling exchange of profanities with the bartender. I think it was drama, but it could have possibly just been punk rock behaviour between two persons. Hard so say, but if that kind of stuff makes you uncomfortable, then maybe you should skip this place. read more

This review only pertains to the daytime vibe as I've only been before 5:00 PM, but I've not found another spot in the South Bay I'd rather stop into to enjoy a lunch beer. A group of us came here on Wednesday (11/22/2023) and the bartender was being a dick. One of us had put in between 10-20 dollars worth into the jukebox but his music kept getting bypassed by the bartender. One of our other friends went up there and talked to him about it and he was being ultra rude about it and when she asked him for his managers name, he refused to give it. Mind you, this was not our groups first time at the bar, and prior experiences have always been pleasant with other bartenders, but this bartender was lacking in customer service skills. If the jukebox is not guaranteed, please put up a sign that says it's app controlled and your music is not guaranteed to play to ensure people are not wasting their money. And train your bartender better to be more customer service friendly. We get that it was the end of the night and it was a holiday, but friendliness does not require much effort, especially when we're spending a lot of money. read more

My friends and I came here last night for the scaraoke. The bartenders were super cool. The bar is small but not too cramped. The other patrons were nice. Karaoke started an hour and a half after it was supposed to start but it was still fun. They have I think 6 TVs? Last night the world series was on. There is a juke box and a pool table. The service is pretty fast and the drinks are good. I've been here many times and only had one bad experience where the bartender thought my ID was fake and asked for my vaccine card (in 2022, I didn't have it on me obviously). I was there for a friend's 21st and we all left. Luckily that bartender doesn't seem to be there anymore so good riddance! Great spot. read more

Well, this bar has taken a turn for the worse. Karaoke is gone, higher end liquors are way overpriced compared to other bars in the area and the managers won't even let the bartenders manage the heat in this place. It's 54 degrees outside, but let's not heat the joint. The only saving grace might be the staff. The bartenders know their stuff. read more

You should tell your customers to mind their own business, it's unprofessional to have your customers trying to start fights with other customers at the bronco bar. Great place as a cozy night cap, with cool vibes, a great clientele, and a staff that is clearly up-to-date with the county health ordinances (despite any backlash). There are a couple electronic dart boards in the corner, and an internet jukebox ready for your tunes. We WILL be back! read more

Don't go here unless you enjoy getting yelled at by the bartender! They have a rule of 1 person in the bathroom at a time. Okay, cool. Bouncer walked by and told me friend and I that the line would move faster if we went in together. So we did. Bartender ran over and BANGED on the door as if she was trying to break it down, yelling that it was "ONE PERSON AT A TIME!!". I walked out and apologized and said that the bouncer had told us to go in together. She got in my face and aggressively told me that "no one told you that". I repeated that yes, they did, and she got even more aggressive with me. I don't mind the one person rule, but I don't enjoy being yelled at and accused of lying just because there was a miscommunication between the staff members. Da Silva's is right across the walkway and a MUCH better vibe. Definitely recommend going there instead :) read more
