We had a super hearty breakfast at the mayors table. The deconstructed avocado toast was phenomenal ! The yogurt with fresh figs , delicious... and you've got to have fresh squeezed, orange juice, and a delicious latte. The service was impeccable . This restaurant really does make you feel like you are at : " The mayor's table"

Mayor's Table Pacific Pub & Kitchen - Lido House Hotel, Newport Beach If you find yourself in Newport Beach, a stop at the Mayor's Table is an absolute must. Not only is this spot dog-friendly (huge bonus points for Hank-approved patios! ), but it's also the perfect blend of coastal charm and culinary creativity. We arrived on a sunny Saturday and were treated to their brunch menu. And here's my rule: if a menu has a "Wow Factor" section... you have to try something from it. No exceptions. We tried the French Toast. Made with a milk bread loaf, topped with banana crèmeux, banana butter, and candied bananas... one bite and all I could say was "WOW!" Crispy outside, fluffy inside, rich, and perfectly balanced -- this dish lives up to the name of its menu section. We also tried the Fried Rice. This wasn't just any fried rice -- it was an elevated take featuring English peas, heritage bacon, Maui Gold pineapple, two organic eggs, and a subtle chili crunch. Perfectly cooked, beautifully seasoned, and bursting with flavor. Absolutely delicious . Located on the historic site of the old Newport City Hall, Mayor's Table is the signature dining venue of the gorgeous Lido House Hotel. Expect seafood-forward, veggie-driven cuisine, a raw bar, chef's table, and an open-action kitchen that adds to the lively energy. And the service? Top-notch, every single time. Friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable without being overbearing. For a truly special experience, check out their "Dine or Brunch Like a Mayor" menu option-- always unique, always impressive. Come hungry, bring your pup, and prepare to be wowed. Whether you're in the mood for a laid-back brunch or a more elevated dining experience, Mayor's Table delivers every time. You will need to valet park, usually $14 with validation, but this gives you the opportunity to walk over to the Lido Marina Village for some unique stores on Via Oporto. Worth the stop, worth the splurge, and worth every bite. Hank also recommends the bacon.

We had such a wonderful experience here. The hostess was very friendly and nice. The waiter gave us some great recommendations. The fries were delicious. The tomahawk was sliced table side by Chef Erik. He was very informative and friendly. Highly recommend

First time there with my mom for our dinner date. It was an amazing experience. Food and drinks were great. Our bartender Bhushan made us some EXCELLENT drinks. The burger we had was very tasty. 10/10 definitely will be coming back. Also the view at the roof top bar.

I was looking for a place to have dessert and was excited to find this restaurant within a lively hotel. I didn't know what to expect, it being my first time, but I can confidentially say that it's some of the best dessert i have ever had. From the presentation--to the portion size--to the taste, it truly felt like an impeccable experience that I luckily stumbled upon.

We came here late on a Friday evening for drinks. Everything was spectacular and they have a lounge area near the fireplace, so cozy! I enjoyed the vibe and loved that it wasn't too packed and was relatively calm inside. Drinks are on the pricier end, but that was expected. For parking, we used the valet (which is not always ideal) - I am not sure if there are any other parking options. Also, I didn't get a chance to try any of the food, but maybe next time! I'll be back!

Chef Escobar hit it out of the park. We stayed at The hotel and were not sure where to go. Very grateful for Colin's excellent recommendations. The flat iron steak is reasonably priced, perfectly seasoned and perfectly cooked. The truffle risotto is a MUST. Flavor and texture are power packed and super fresh. You have to try the Hawaiian tuna toast. Fresh, sweet, spicy and the sour dough is exceptional. We were stuffed but were told the dessert was amazing. We went for the 13 layer chocolate cake. If you grew up on Claim Jumper imagine a fancy version with flavor x3. So rich but not overly sweet. So good that we are coming back for breakfast and I'm bringing my girls for brunch. Ignore the Karen's. The food is 10/10.

We came to the Mayor's table for a family dinner and to do our gender reveal. They put us in a quiet corner farther back in the restaurant which was really helpful for us to hear each other and for the dinner to feel more private. We had easy access to bathrooms just outside the doors to the pool area. Our waitress was super helpful. She asked how soon we would want the cake brought out and helped us order appetizers for the table. She regularly checked in on us to see if we needed any refills or wanted to order more food or drinks. The ambience was really nice inside. It's has a very modern interior but still felt cozy. They put shades down as the sunset got pretty strong. The staff regularly cleared our table and all the food came out in a timely manner. The food was all very delicious. Everyone enjoyed their meals. I got the steak and loved the yuzu sauce on my broccolini. The onion dip and bread were especially delicious. Towards the end of dinner our waitress pulled dessert plates out for us and some knives to cut our cake. Almost no one was sat near us so we got some really nice photos and videos of the gender reveal without other customers nearby. I was very appreciative they left the back section pretty empty for us. Overall we loved our dining experience at the Mayor's table. I would definitely come back for special occasions!

I stayed at the Lido House and visited the Mayor's Table after a long day of travel. I was greeted and served by Joseph at the bar and he was fantastic. Super attentive and customer centric. The food was awesome, the octopus was amazing!! The chef came out to let me know that my salmon was taking a bit longer because he was breaking down a whole new fish, I really appreciated that! It didn't even feel that way because I was still working on my appetizer, so the extra attentiveness was unexpected and so nice. There was a wasted party at the bar with a man that I felt was demeaning to the staff but Joseph and his team handled them with courtesy and grace regardless. I wanted to say something! Anyway, I will be back. If you visit, make sure you sit at the bar! And make sure you get that octopus!!

So let me just start by saying I REALLY wanted to like this place. I try not to write bad reviews unless absolutely necessary. But I do try to approach Yelp with some fidelity to its purpose. Also, let me just say, this won't be a bad review because it honestly wasn't bad... it just wasn't great. So let's start with the good. It really is a beautiful space. It's both upscale and relaxed. It's comfortable in the nicest way possible. A great place to catch up with friends. Also the service is great. Shout out to our server, Jose. He was phenomenal. Made sure to check-in but didn't hover. He definitely made the experience comfortable. If service and ambiance were the only qualifiers, I'd happily give this place 5 stars. Unfortunately the food was a bit underwhelming. It did, however, start off well. They provided an amuse-bouche which was a nice touch. I wasn't expecting it so I ate it before taking a picture or even getting clarity on what it was. A blue cheese stuffed grape tomato is likely the best description I can provide. Suffice it to say, it was tasty. We ordered the baked onion dip for a starter. This was the star of the night. The bread, some sort of pillowy pita, was insanely good and the dip was so flavorful. I would come back just for this. For mains we ordered the pork chop (which came highly recommended), the burger and the truffle orecchiette and cheese. It was fine. All a bit bland but a bit of a let down. I'm willing to try this place again. It really is a beautiful space and the menu is seasonal so perhaps I'll find something I like better. Again, not a bad experience just not a particularly good experience. I think 3 stars is about right.

We came in for Saturday morning brunch with friends and were greeted and seated pretty quickly. The restaurant itself is beautiful, especially with the views overlooking Newport Bay. Definitely a great setting for a weekend brunch. Our server was prompt, friendly, and accommodating throughout the meal. I went with the Knife & Fork Burrito and really enjoyed it. They nailed the potato to egg ratio, which I feel like breakfast burritos get wrong way too often. Both preparations were fantastic--exceptionally fresh, clean, and briny, with the dressed version bringing just the right punch of citrus and heat. Hamachi Crudo & Seared Tuna Tataki: Both raw plates were spot-on. The hamachi was delicate and buttery, while the seared tuna tataki had great texture and bright, clean seasoning that let the fish shine. Between the quality food, great drinks, and lively harbor-side energy, it's a great spot to kick off a night out.

On my most recent visit, my wife and I stopped in on a Sunday afternoon at about 1:30 p.m. (as the lunch rush was coming to an end.) When we told the hostess that we'd like to eat lunch on the patio, she replied that they were not currently accepting walk-ins to sit on the patio, but would we'd like to sit inside. It seemed a bit strange, but being a beautiful day, we didn't want to sit inside, so we declined and headed out the door to find some place else to enjoy lunch. As we were unlocking our bikes, a young woman who looked like a manager came out and got our attention and introduced herself as Brittany. She said that there was a short wait for an outside table, maybe 5 minutes or so for them to clean it up and get it reset. She said that they did indeed have a couple of reservations outside, but that tables were also opening up. We went back in, waited a couple of minutes, and then sat down for a lovely lunch I think that the hostess was probably just a little confused and used verbage that was slightly incorrect, but we're so thankful that Brittany recognized the situation and came out after us! How on Earth are the chefs there so inept that they would make such a massive error with such an expensive item? When you cut the legs lengthwise THEN cook them the shell curls in on itself. Thus shredding the meat!!!! We didn't have king crab, we ate shredded king crab. 4) No one can make up their mind about parking fees. When we showed up they were not open. The valet wasn't there. We ran into the captain of the Orca Too and he told us we could park in the restaurant parking lot, no problem. After the boat ride one of my guests went to their car and he was accosted by the valet yelling at him that he can't park there. After explaining the situation he was told it would be $15 and the valet took his keys away from him. An employee at the restaurant said it would be $7 to park. As each party left (at different times) we were all charged different things. $7, $10 and $15. What a joke! To spend $400 and to have that many problems on a day that was supposed to be special.....gut wrenching. Apparently the fish and chips are good. So stick with that and stay away from the $150 dishes that they have no business cooking.

I went on a monday night and got the baja bucket which was the deal for the night ! The baja bucket contains. 4 lobster tails, 12 shrimp, 2 corn on the cobs, chicken, steam, rice and beans, tortilla, and a salad (or up charge soup) plus fried ice cream at the end. OMG! It was soooo good, the food is flash fried which worked perfectly for this meal. Everything was cooked perfectly, j clouding the lobster. I enjoyed every bite. I will say I split this with my boyfriend and there was sooo much food that by the time the ice cream came around it was hard to fully indulge in because I was so stuffed! Modal night the deal brings this meal to about 70/80 dollars. That is honestly so much food and hard to come by in 2026! I've been telling so many of my friends about the experience here. The servers were attentive and very knowledgeable. The place looks like a cute tiki dive bar but restaurant style. It' has a cute waterfall that we were able to sit next to. Also their cocktails are nice! Cannot wait to go back

Service: 100/100 Drinks: 50/100…read moreFood: 20/100 Ordered the Golden Sombrero meal ($149 for two) and got the add-on chowder which was actually good. The lobster was good, shrimp pretty meh but the Alaskan King Crab ruined just about everything. Steak was ordered Medium but came out Done, chicken was basic, and corn was chewy and not fresh like it had been boiled, steamed, and then grilled. The margaritas we ordered were too sweet and about 16oz with only one shot in the drink ($18 each) not worth the price for juice and hardly any alcohol. Now, back to the ruinous Alaskan King Crap (not a typo). The crab was molting which means when you crack open the shell there's a leathery skin on the meat inside that's supposed to replace the outer shell when the crab is still growing, this extends to the spikier parts of the crab and if swallowed could cause issues and is dangerous to eat. My girlfriend and I tried to eat around it and see if it was just a few legs but it was the whole damned thing. Our wonderful server offered us a replacement of snow crab but our total bill was never adjusted so we paid for King Crab and never got it. I hear that this is par for the course for this place which is sad because this place used to be pretty legendary. Too bad, I don't recommend but left a star for our server who was awesome.
