Great dinner spot for a date or a night out with friends. Ribeyes were so amazing I forgot to take a photo. Our servers were very attentive.

This is one of my top favorite steakhouses I've been to. I had made reservations ahead of time for my birthday. From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed and seated immediately. We sat right next to the pool which made our experience even better. The interior and exterior of this restaurant was beautiful. Everything was clean and organized. Our waiter and the manager were both great servers. Despite it being busy, they were able to get us everything we needed. They were continually checking in on us making sure everything was going smoothly. They also gave our table a couple complimentary desserts. We enjoyed everything from the ambiance, the service and the food.

Aesthetic is incredible! You walk in pull to your left straight forward is every oyster and shelled item looking spectacular! It's pricey ELEVATED ! I have to say my bass wasn't my favorite. A little too fishy . The steak was prepared awesome my kid loved it perfect mid rare. Mac n cheese was really good I even ordered an extra to go ! Brussels were a bit underwhelming but I didn't get it with bacon so probably that's why . Grilled asparagus I liked ! The fried shrimp so good ! The shrimp and crab my kid said it was ok ! She loved the cream corn to sweet for me but def loved my taste ! I loved the Caesar recipe so yummy ! That egg top tier !!! Overall it was cool I love the ambiance best !

Finally found a place where their service matches the food! All I can say is I will definitely be back! For one, the service was incredible! Everyone was so friendly and treated us like celebrities. It was my boyfriend and I's birthday celebration, and they went out of their way with cards and free dessert (1 for both of us). The food came out quick as well! For the quality and service, the price point is not too bad. Expensive, yes, but worth it! I think the best thing I ate was the mac & cheese and the chicken fried lobster! But my boyfriend loved their scallops!

Service was incredible the second we walked in the door. The ambiance was nice and I like the open kitchen view. The seafood appetizer was very fresh. The crab and lobster easily slide out of the shells. The shrimps were huge, sweet, and delicious! The cap steak was a special item and it was incredibly tender. With a sprinkle of salt, it was perfect! My favorite side was the corn cream brûlée. Very sweet and not as heavy as I was expecting. The Corn flavor really comes through with a slight toasted flavor. The key lime was well balanced and the right amount of tart and not just sugar. The beignets were really fun especially served high on a tree. It came with 2 sauces as well, but I actually like them plain. We did have a large group in a private room which was amazing! When I stepped out for the restroom, it did seem a bit loud. There may be quieter pockets through the restaurant. If you want to ask when making a reservation.

Birthday beignets! So so delicious and warm. It's a secret menu item (if you will, you have to ask for it).

Just another 12/10 visit for the wonderful service from our server and the management staff. They went above and beyond to make our dining experience positive and treated us so wonderfully on my birthday today. We even got a private booth with a window into kitchen - perfect for my toddler to go about her usual shenanigans without bothering anyone and great for me to watch the live action in the kitchen. Side note - the heirloom tomato & burrata salad was exceptional. Thank you for another memorable birthday celebration. We'll be back every year!

Always a great experience here. I've been here about three or four times. I also love their sister resto Steak48 in Del Mar. Service is very friendly; always getting seated pretty quickly. The ambience of this restaurant is beautiful. It's pretty dim lit inside, they have a great bar area, which is always full. They have a lower deck in an upper deck. Plenty of seating. Last night we ordered Appetizers: Colossal shrimp cocktail, and the Caesar salad. They allow us to split appetizers at no cost - so great! main entrée we both got the 12 ounce petite filet mignon Oscar style. Sides: bacon, brussels sprouts and also the corn crème brûlée which is my fave!! They have the Valet for $10 but there's plenty of parking in the parking area. This is probably my favorite steakhouse. I'll be back again soon.

Ocean 48 screams OC elite. The venue is absolutely gorgeous and makes a great date night. Me and hubz were celebrating our 11year dating anniversary so we decided to check them out. Service was warm and welcoming. I appreciate they had a solid zero proof menu as we were doing dry January. The zero proof cocktails were refreshing and tasty! Ocean 48 prides themselves mostly on seafood and heard great things about the sea tower. We did crispy shrimp as an appetizer and it was so flavorful! I really enjoyed this. We ordered the steak, pasta shells and au gratin potatoes for the entree. All incredibly filling and delicious. We definitely did not have room for dessert. However, we did appreciate the complimentary cookies with the bill. Overall, this is a higher end restaurant located in Fashion Island. I would definitely recommend for a special occasion.

this is a to-go review. Bone-In Ribeye - 6/10: Lots of potential here, but fell a bit short, perhaps due to it being a to-go order. I ordered medium rare, but it came much rarer than expected. Not a huge deal since I could reheat it at home, but the bigger issue was that the steak was significantly under-seasoned. Truffle Fries - 8/10: Excellent flavour. Herbaceous with a strong truffle presence. Definitely a highlight of the meal. Elote Creme Brulee - 7/10: Sweet and creamy. Probably would have been better eaten in-restaurant, as the brulee top likely softened during transit. Nothing wrong with it, just not particularly exciting. Chicken Fried Lobster - 9/10: A standout dish for me. Southern fried chicken-style breading on lobster. Super flavourful and perfectly crisp. Loved this. Crab Cakes - 9/10: Another highlight. Possibly some of the best crab cakes I've had with a great amount of crab, and paired perfectly with the lemon and accompanying sauce.

Impressive!! Classy upscale cozy vibe! The place is huge but split into many sections that makes it feel cozy. We came here for dinner to celebrate our anniversary and wow, did they deliver! They have a pool inside that is nicely lit and emits a cool glow and reflect the lights inside. We were ushered in a room with about 5 tables ... I'd say the room has the old Hollywood feel. They already have an anniversary card for us with a hand written note by the general manager, Anthony G. Nice touch ! We were celebrating our anniversary! They first serve you with complimentary bread that is flaky outside but soft and buttery inside. Served, and most likely, baked on the mini iron skillet. Sooo good!! For starters we got the Fanny Bay oysters, yumm! And Steak Knife BLT Wedge salad. It was fresh, delish and refreshing! For mains we got the Bone-In Ribeye 22oz, which is well seasoned and cooked to perfection! Didn't enjoy the Chilean Sea Bass much ... wish I'd gotten something else. A side of Boursin Whipped Potatoes, which is also good! For sweet endings, we got the Small Beignet Tree, which are beignets served on a sort of jewelry tree display. We added a scoop of vanilla gelato. Yum! We were served by Tabatha who is really nice, attentive and really nice to talk to! She made our anniversary extra special. I nightly recommend this place especially if you're celebrating something special!

I had my first "48" experience at Steak 48 in Beverly Hills back in September. What stood out to my husband and me was the service AND the food. Ocean 48 did not disappoint. As the name suggests, there are more seafood options at Ocean 48. I had the scallop entree and added crispy shrimp on top--phenomenal. The scallops were butter and melted in my mouth. They were some of the best scallops I have ever had. They also did a fine job with the clam chowder. Their starter bread are these delicious biscuits in a cast iron pan. Be careful! These things are addicting, and if you're not careful, you'll load up an be too full for your main course. Ocean 48 had excellent sides--the shells and cheese, mashed potatoes, and Brussels sprouts were outstanding! Overall, this was an excellent meal. The service was great; the ambiance of the room was luxe without being snobby and over-the-top. I'm a fan!

Ocean 48 is an upscale seafood and steakhouse restaurant located at Fashion Island mall in Newport Beach. They have ample free parking at the mall but they also have valet for $10. We made reservations and requested to sit next to their indoor reflection pool which was a nice touch. While we waited for our table we checked out their glass-enclosed kitchen where we watched the chefs work. We started off the meal with complimentary bread which was flaky and crispy on the outside. It was butter-y but we asked for even more. DAILY FRESH OYSTERS ($22) - we ordered two blue point and two miyagi oysters which were good. They brought out a variety of sauces to pair with them. 4/5 CAVIAR CONES ($150 for 4) - they were tiny and bite-sized but were good. They were pricey but they were a nice treat. 4/5 CRISPY SHRIMP ($31) - these were crispy, creamy, and a tad spicy. They were so addicting and one of my favorites! This is definitely a must-get. 5/5 KING CRAB + SHRIMP + SHELLS + CHEESE ($52) - this was flavorful and creamy. It was priced a bit too high for me and I thought it could've had more portions of crab but I understand it's expensive. Everything else about it was amazing though. 4.5/5 45 DAY DRY AGE BONE-IN RIBEYE ($105) - this was also so flavorful, juicy, and perfectly cooked. There were no additional toppings or flavorings needed. I've eaten a lot of restaurant steaks and this was one of the best restaurant steaks I've had in a long time. 5/5 CORN CRÈME BRÛLÉE ($21) - I've never had this before and it's one of their most popular dishes. It was sweet from both the corn and the brûlée. Its flavor profile was mostly sweet but helped to offset the saltiness of the other dishes. For those with a sweet tooth this is really good. I thought it was good but not as much as the others. 4/5 For drinks, the orange and rye ($21) was spirit forward. Both the California citrus ($21) and strawberry rhubarb ($20) were fruity, refreshing, and tart. For our dessert we got the lou lou's homemade cookies & cream gelato cake ($18) which was a massive portion and also delicious. It tasted basically like an ice cream cake and we over-stuffed ourselves trying to finish it all. From beginning to end we really had an amazing time. Our servers were so welcoming, friendly, and made us feel really special for our special occasion. To also have a delicious meal was the cherry on top.

First visit at the fabulous restaurant and it will not be our last. It is pricey, but the food, quality of service, and ambiance are reflective of the venue. The indoor dining pool room is gorgeous. I only walked by, as we dined in a separate private room. Low-lighting and dressy attire made this a perfect date night. If you like seafood, it is nothing short of excellent. There wasn't an item we didn't enjoy. I can't wait to go back and enjoy more of the selections to please my palate.

My rule of thumb, dark ambience in restaurants usually means it's not as sanitary as it looks. Don't wipe the tables with the same rag as used with wiping other tables. Bathrooms should be maintained periodically, and the floor shouldn't be sticky to walk on. Cross contamination: JNB's waitress in their (mostly) black short/skinny dresses in heels, with monotone voice and obviously did not want to serve our table, should not be clearing tables, picking up used dishes and serving food and drinks at the same time, ooh and wrapping utensils with napkins during their down time. That's just nasty! Finally, If an establishment needs racism to maintain its vibe, the establishment is trash. It's 2026. We all bleed red. Money is money. We reserved a table outside and the atmosphere was nice and seats were comfortable. We're not sure if it was because we were sat in the far corner or they were understaffed, but the service was very slow, and even getting our card back after we paid took at least 10 minutes. Finally, the food was fine, aside from one of the salmon entrees coming out VERY rare. The restaurant ended up comping this dish for us. Although it is located in a resort, it is definitely a locals spot. Everyone appeared to know each other from the area. Very friendly. We arrived around 11:00 am for Brunch and to watch the final day of The Masters. It was a rainy morning so we elected to sit at the bar. We typically enjoy sitting outside on the patio at the tables or the fire pits, if you still at the bar, you still have a nice view of the boats lined up in the harbor. Tia was the bartender when we arrived. She was very attentive and professional. Tia explained brunch was already over which we were a little bummed but she said she could still do a couple of breakfast boards. Neither looked like what we were interested in eating so we elected to go for lunch. We ordered Bloody Marys and they were delicious. We started with the Chef's Seasonal Burrata - Pistachio pesto, roasted beets, pomegranate, lemon olive oil, fresh herbs, grilled house made focaccia. This was very refreshing and tasty. It is also GF and Veg. I ordered the A+O Burger - Brioche bun, butter lettuce, 1000 island, farmhouse cheddar, caramelized onion, pickles, fries. I ordered it Medium and unfortunately the burger was cooked well done. It had great flavor but it was a little dry since not cooked to order. The fries were delicious, hot and crispy. My husband ordered the Pork Belly Sliders - Pork belly, butterleaf lettuce, roma tomatoes, fresh sliced pickles, spicy aioli, Kings Hawaiian slider bun. He said they were delicious. Tia left and Joe took over. Joe was amazing. Very attentive and friendly. Joe went out of his way to grab a drink I requested that was not available at the bar and brought it out for me. Very nice! The bar was crowded and Joe took care of everyone with ease while giving everyone attention. Cameron also came in shift and was very friendly as well. The service was excellent and we liked the food. If they had cooked my burger to requested temp it would have been perfect. We will be back!

Advertised live dj on sundays when we made reservations and there was no live music. Food is overall bland as hell, steak was chewy and dry and unsalted it seems. Chicken and waffles board was probably the worst chicken and waffles I've had, and all the sides that came with it seemed random as hell. We were excited to try a newish brunch spot out and to get a bottle of champagne for mimosas. Little did we know, that the mimosa would be the best part of the meal. This spot replaced a super crappy brunch buffet, that was one of the saddest buffets I've ever been to. Saw that they opened a new concept and saw that they advertised live DJs on sundays for brunch. So we decided to try it. We sat down and ordered the chicken and waffles platter and steak and salad plate. The chicken and waffle plate was really not that good, not a single item on the platter was good. Waffles, you can tell they tried to make it fancy, but just tasted weird and dry. The syrup, looks like they make in house also, not sweet enough and bland. The chicken was the least bland item out of everything, but it's not worth it at all. The steak was one of the chewiest, dry steaks I've had in a while also under seasoned, maybe even no salt. The chicken platter also had random items on it, that made no sense. Random sprigs of rosemary, marshmallow amongst other items. Nothing seemed to gel and it looked like they were just trying to fill the space with easy things. The mimosas that came with the chicken and waffles platter was the star of our meal. Honestly, I'd say it's hard to make food taste this bland and whatevers. With what they are charging, the steak shouldn't be dry and chewy, let alone not seasoned. Everything was under seasoned like we were in a cardiatric ward in the hospital. You can make better food following any recipe on YouTube. 2 stars for the mimosa and the server was very friendly, service wasn't anything to write home about though. Not busy at all, and a lot of workers just standing around. We didn't get checked on much throughout the meal. Oh and the valet was free at least.

Nice looking spot with plenty of outdoor seating. All the staff we interacted with were very friendly. So why just 3 stars? The food was just eh. If I had more hours in California I would have made up for the lackluster food by making a trip to HB's Tacos Los Cholos. I had the recommended Enchiladas Suizas. When my plate came out I knew immediately it would be just ok. The enchiladas didn't even look saucy. The refried beans looked (and tasted) like canned beans. The rice was very boring. The tinga chicken, somehow, was dry. My wife had the tostada salad. It was like $26 because of the $10 add on of steak. $26 for the most gringo thing on the menu. Best part of it was the steak, the rest will be repressed from my memory. A friend had the taco trio. $19 for 3 tacos and no sides. That's pretty steep. He didn't even finish the 3 tacos. He had the short rib, al pastor and carnitas. None of them looked very good. I had a pinch of his short rib meat. It tasted like grandma's Sunday pot roast. And just like the tinga chicken it was also dry. My wife's strawberry marg was quite good. The beer menu was very basic. Gotta step it up. When the free chips and salsa, and add on steak are the highlights of the dinner you know that the place needs help.

I am so glad I did, especially since it was happy hour. The place definitely has a great vibe to it. Plenty of seating throughout the restaurant. I recommend sitting at the bar as that's where all the action happens. You definitely want to make sure you get there for happy hour and Taco Tuesday especially, $10 Margaritas $4 tacos and these are not cheap tacos. These are like serious tacos that will fill you up. Their salsa is great, not super spicy and makes great for munching while you're talking with friends. The margaritas are definitely strong, which is nice, as some places tend to water them down for happy hour. I would say that this is a great choice to go check out and have a taco or two or three or four. I had the carne asada, the carnitas, and the pastor, every single one of them was perfect and the salsa that they came with was out of this world. Bottom line? This is a great place for Taco Tuesday as well as just a hangout and have a drink after work. Whenever I am in Costa Mesa. I am definitely coming here again.

When we arrived, we were shocked to see they were going to squeeze us into someone else's table filled with people that could not comfortably seat four additional people next to them . Horrified we requested what we originally booked and they said NOTHING accept they were REALLY BUSY and pointed us to the outdoor fire pits with no proper chairs or seating just a firepit to put a child to sit in front of. At this point zero management came to address this and zero servers as we asked for one . We were completely ignored . We were so hungry we just sat down desperate and starving. There was no omlette bar. (I was told on the phone there was an omlette bar before booking ) No sauces to go with any food. Dried up scrambled eggs and just a few dishes to choose from this 'buffet'. The ONLY salad dressings they had (2) were super sweet (no ranch) nothing . No flavor . Their non meat dishes were just one horrible dried up bean and grain pattie obviously frozen out of a box even an animal would never eat . It was that bad . Their 'replacement ' for almost zero dishes was a pancake ststion obviously to cut costs even more . The food was horrible . When you anticipate a special Mother's Day brunch that is horribly overpriced and get this in return its so disappointing and apalling .We were prepared to walk out after our bad news of no proper seating and terrible start but by then obviously we couldn't just go to another brunch on Mother's Day . Plus our other two guests were parking with a child so we were stuck. This was our only option or nothing. Its unbelievabke how am estsblishment can treat people like this especially on a soecial day like Mother's Day amd can command their pricing with no proper and safe seating for 4 with safe and healthy distancing with a fire pit as a SEAT. No apologies , no manager , nothing . just a terrible high bill, very little options and poor food quality . At best we should get a refund as this was false advertising and did not get a table for up to 4 . What an awful Mother's Day Brunch . We go out to eat EVERYWHERE around here but can't believe sonething like this can exist . So sad . This part of the day was ruined .

She had told me about it before and really wanted to take me, so I was excited to finally check it out. It's a very small place, so I'd definitely recommend making a reservation online. That worked perfectly for us we were able to get in right away without any wait. Even though it's cozy, it doesn't feel cramped at all. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the drinks were wonderful. The staff really stood out to me. They were attentive, kind, and professional throughout the night. At one point, a patron started to get a bit too tipsy, and the staff handled it with such care and respect while making sure everyone else didn't feel awkward in the situation. It was clear they genuinely care about their guests' experience. Overall, such a great spot and we will definitely come back.

The atmosphere could have been cool, but every 5 minutes the bright hallway light blasted through the western-style swinging door and completely ruined the dark speakeasy vibe. The drinks were tiny and overpriced. We ordered two Old Fashioneds and the giant ice cubes took up almost the entire glass. Larger than a normal square ice cube- a little taller. But it seriously felt like they split one drink into two. Barely a shot in each glass, and the cocktails themselves were just so-so. Very syrup-y flavor. Definitely not "bespoke" or unique the was the server was upselling us. Service started good but when he got busy it went downhill. And by busy he got (1) 5 top.....He was excited about explaining the menu but then never once came back to check on us. When we finally flagged him down and asked for the check, he just dropped the handheld payment terminal on the table, walked away, grabbed it when we finished paying, and said absolutely nothing... no "thank you," no "have a great night," nothing. And this was after we still tipped 20%. Definitely not worth the money, service, or atmosphere. We won't be back.
