I come here around once/week. The food is great and the staff is friendly. However, the restaurant is definitely not the cleanest that I've seen. Many surfaces in the restaurant are very dusty (looks like they haven't been cleaned in months). The women's restroom is frequently out of paper towels. Good burger spot in Danville. Solid food every time we come. One helpful tip is avoid lunch time! Unfortunately, the kids from the high school next door take over the place even though they don't buy their food there (most of them were either eat Chipotle or they had home containers). The location is great, easy parking and the atmosphere is really fun. Inside and outside tables! But the burger patties are NOT GOOD. Flavorless and bland and really leaves you hoping for more. Total bummer they forgot our tomato soup but otherwise the burgers, fries, sandwiches and pickles were good. I should have checked the bag and didn't. Lesson learned. Avoid around 2pm with high school traffic and kids with no manners blocking it with their bodies, scooters and bikes. The manager reached out right away, refunded my soup charge, and even offered a gift card for the trouble. I love grilled cheese...and sometimes with french fries and sometimes with tomato soup...I don't need much else! This is one of my favorite things ever...so I have to tell you how happy I am with this place! I love that it has my favorite things, and I love that it is open late. Oh...and I love chocolate malts! So to have so many of my favorite things....I LOVE THIS PLACE! It's a long way from where I live, but I have driven here twice...because it's worth it to me! Our first time at The Melt. Overall, things seemed average to me, my husband, and our child. It wasn't overly packed. The seats were wooden and somewhat hard. The lighting was nice. I noticed an area directly to the left that had screens you could order on and then my husband pointed forward to the counter with actual people. Our kiddo did like how cheesy the Mac n cheese was as well as the pickles. My husband got The Italian Job. He said it was cooked well, but the spicy garlic bread was neither spicy nor had a strong garlic flavor. I did feel like I really annoyed the person at the register by taking my time and asking questions. I started this review some time ago and cannot recall what I had, now, but I know that I wasn't very impressed. Recently opened in Downtown Danville conveniently located close to the high school. The melt is a great place to hang and have a killer burger or grilled cheese. The shake was awesome. The burger was perfectly grilled with American cheese and really soft bun. The fries (ala carte) were excellent. Could have used some dipping alternative to ketchup. The shake was rich and creamy. We would definitely recommend The Melt. Service was excellent, the burgers were tasty (but a little on the greasy side), and the fries were some of the best I've had in a long time. The restaurant was casual and comfortable; there were people of all ages there enjoying their experiences. The only thing I would change is more attention to the bathrooms. Everything here is quite delicious. I tried the melty burger, garlic & parmesan fries, sweet potato fries & a strawberry shake. The ambiance is kid friendly, modern, & on trend. I took my two young kids here today & finding a table was quite easy. It's one of my new fave burger joints! There's an ordering kiosk that gives you a pager or they can txt your phone when your order is ready. How convenient. Service was wonderful too! An elderly gentleman was waiting for his food and his buzzer went off. I saw him struggling to get up and you took his food over to him. Let me make one thing clear. I love the Melt in Danville. The service is superb, and so are the melt burgers and mac and cheese. The quality of the food is good. Because of this, it makes me sad to say that the crispy chicken sandwich was not up to the high standard of the melt burgers and Mac and cheese. Some of the crispy coating had come off the chicken, and a lot of the chicken had no coating at all. There did not seem to be much chicken, but a lot of the coating. I ended up not eating most of the sandwich. I look forward to the Melt fixing this problem and raising this dish to their usual high standards read more

This place was great! Basically burgers, chicken, grilled cheese, Mac'n'cheese & fries - what's not to like?! The place was spacious, clean, helpful staff & it had lots of seating options. My family & I ordered (2) BBQ bacon melt burgers, the melty Mac'n'cheese & an order of garlic fries. The first bite of fries were melt in your mouth & were addictively delicious. The burgers were great & the patties were big so we each only ate half. We shared the Mac'n'cheese & most of it disappeared in our belly's. Quick take: dine in is the best option We were in the neighborhood for a school orchestra event. Placed our order before the lunch rush. Dining in is the best option here. We ordered takeout for someone and it didn't taste as good as eating it right after it was prepared. The garlic parmesan fries are really good. Each item comes with a delicious pickle. The restaurant has a roll up door so we sat right along the sidewalk but we were technically inside the restaurant. It was a nice sunny day. Watching everyone going in and out Trader Joe's right next door. Oh no! The Melt is now in Danville! When I was working in downtown San Francisco, I would love the melt, especially when they had the s'mores sandwich with was my favorite item, but it hasn't been on the menu for several years. I like the fact that there's a melt on the side of the bay that is kind of close to us because it's closer than Super Duper, which is comparable, even though Super Duper has better quality meat. But when I am in the mood for a heart attack sandwich, I'm going to come here. I also do love the fact that they have Caesar salads with croutons that are like,a mini grilled cheese sandwiches Which just are the best. So if you're ready to clog your arteries, and experienced some super buttery flavor then come on in and you'll probably see me here. This will probably be my new hang out. read more

We just ate, for the first time, at The Melt in Danville. My wife and I both agreed that our burgers were the best that we have ever eaten. As we ordered, we mentioned to Dante that it was our first time being here. Dante, who was very friendly and welcoming, told us that we would be very happy that we chose to eat at The Melt this afternoon. He was totally correct. My wife ordered the original burger with sweet potato fries and a chocolate milkshake. I ordered the shroom burger and regular fries. When the meals arrived we were shocked at the size of the burgers. They were much bigger than we had anticipated. The bun was soft and freshly grilled. It had seemed that they had just baked the bun. The toppings were fresh and delicious and the burger nearly melted in our mouths. My wife and I have been aficionados of Fuddrucker's for quite some time, but we have to drive to Concord since our Dublin location shut down some time ago. Now we won't have to, since The Melt has become our favorite hamburger restaurant. We told Dante, the manager, how pleased we were with the food and staff. He was thrilled.
