First time here and I was Beautifully greeted by Quinn. She saw that it was my first time here. My jaw dropped looking at the menu. Asked for a recommendation and she said get the Double Melt Burger, I was not disappointed. I also got the Parmesan Garlic fries and those did not disappoint. I highly recommend the fountain drinks. Made with natural cane sugar and the selection is plentiful. The black cherry is a must if you're a Cherry Coke person. There is plenty of seating inside plus there is a patio since you are in Long Beach area. Clean fresh air. Will definitely be back.

I'm on a little burger search right now. Not to crown a winner. I just want a burger that handles the craving. Melt had been on my radar for a few weeks, and it was a burger kind of day. Simple mission. Burger. Fries. Outside seat. Let's see what happens. I got the MeltBurger, which is basically their cheeseburger: chopped Angus & Wagyu beef, aged cheddar, Melt sauce and a jalapeño-pickle mix on an artisan bun, with pickle spears on the side. Sounds loaded. Looks loaded. Eats loaded. And the burger did look good. Big sauce. Soft bun. Thick chopped patty. Cheese melted in. The kind of burger that shows up already leaning sideways like it knows you'll need napkins. But photogenic burgers and good burgers are not the same thing. The patty is where the confusion started. Perfect medium rare as advertised. Juicy, tender, some sear. Angus and Wagyu doing rich beef things. Texture had the right idea. Flavor did not. Bland, like a corporate handshake in burger form. The texture clocked in. The flavor left early. The burger needed salt and tang badly. The patty was quiet, and the jalapeño-pickle mix wasn't loud enough to wake it up. I could see some in there, but I couldn't taste it doing anything. Zero heat. Zero tang. The Melt sauce was everywhere visually, but somehow nowhere in the flavor. For something this rich, the bright stuff needed to actually show up. The aged cheddar showed up in hints, but not as sharpness. Mostly creaminess, especially with the ladle of Melt sauce already there. This is preference, but American cheese does something different on a burger. More salt. More melt. More cheeseburger. Here, the cheddar just added richness to richness. The structure struggled. Before the first bite, the patty was already sliding around in the sauce. The bun held up for a bit, then gave up around the midway point. I'm fine with messy, but with all that juice and sauce, this started flirting with a knife-and-fork project. A harder toast perhaps? More grip, more backbone, something. The pickle spears on the side were well balanced, which was weirdly the problem. I wanted sour, sharp. Something to cut through the richness instead of politely standing nearby. The cheddar bacon ranch fries were solid. Fried well, bacon crumble had that crispy-chewy thing going and the cheese sauce and ranch did exactly what they were there to do: fry lubrication. Nothing wild, but it worked. Online ordering was easy, which is what I used. Pickup was fine. Counter staff was cordial. Three kiosks inside. Small space: maybe 10 seats inside, about 6 outside. I ate outside. Easy enough. Overall, Melt had the bones of something good. Angus and Wagyu. Big sauce. Loaded fries. Perfect medium rare. The stars were aligned. Seasoning wasn't.

The service and quality of the food today was a bit off. The staff working the cashier seemed new and still in training. I ordered a patty melt with tomato for my boyfriend, but the tomatoes were so thin that he couldn't even taste them. I ordered the crispy chicken BBQ ranch salad, and it was very plain and wasn't worth the $12.99. It had lettuce, grape tomatoes, shredded cheese and a sliced fried chicken patty, with a side of ranch and BBQ sauce. The chicken patty was tasty and the ingredients were fresh, but they really need to add more to this salad, like crispy onions or something else that would go well with the BBQ sauce. The slice of pickle on the side was so tiny that I accidentally threw it away without realizing it because I had place it on a napkin. I wanted to use the app to redeem my reward points for free fries, but I was told I needed to order it through the app. As I was ordering through the app, I noticed there was actually an option to redeem it in the store. I didn't want to make a big deal about it since I had a feeling the staff was still in training, so I just went ahead and ordered it online. Hopefully things improve once everyone gets more comfortable and are fully trained.

I've been wanting to try this place ever since I saw it was coming. Me and my daughter went tonight. We got and shared the three cheese classic grilled cheese, original meltburger and fries. The burger was solid; a tasty burger. The grilled cheese was SO delicious! It hit the spot. The fries were good too but didn't blow me away. I'd like to try the sweet potato fries another time. I'd also like to try a chicken sandwich in the future. The girl who took our order was sweet. The only downside is that they have random soda on the fountain. Not the typical Coke, Sprite, etc. I enjoy a nice fountain drink when I'm out to eat. They do have cans of Coke and Diet Coke if you'd like that route. A tip: they currently have a coupon for free fries to celebrate their anniversary, which I saw here on Yelp! :)

I got a double and it was a whole lotta meat. That's a plus. It was a little bloody, I didn't like that. I needed more bread. It get messy real quick. Definitely cheesy. I didn't like the chopped up pickles on my burger. Garlic fries were superb. Pre made strawberry lemonade was kinda wild. It was ok. Staff was a little discombobulated. Got my order wrong but she was nice. Typical burger joint vibes. Plenty of seating inside or out.

Another great visit to The Melt! We came to redeem my birthday dessert. I ordered a Patty Melt, my first here, along with a Cookies & Cream Shake for my special dessert. My husband had the OG Melt. We shared Sweet Potato Fries. All the food was very good especially the Sweet Potato Fries! Our server was Audrina and she wished me a Happy Birthday when she personally brought out my shake. Rae was also working, recognized me and also wished me a Happy Birthday. Very personalized service!

Fantastic burger, fries, drinks, and service !!! So glad the Melt opened up down here. I had an amazing experience and enjoyed very high quality food. Quinn helped me out and she was very nice and informative!

On the surface, it looks like a hipster version of th e traditional diner, but the quality of the food really elevates it to something better. The menu is straightforward without any sense of condescension, but each item is prepared with care and expertise. I ordered an avocado bacon melt, and the toast was grilled to perfection. I love the kick provided by a scattered layer of jalapeno. It provided just enough surprise to transcend the experience of enjoying a typical melt. Don't judge based on the menu items. Come and experience The Melt yourself.

Great variety of melts for every preference. Mostly self order, seat yourself, take a buzzer, pick up from counter when buzzer. Nothing extraordinary. Just lots of cheese dishes meaning sandwich melts and burgers. Fries were basic, lemonade is pretty packaged and in a cooler. The food is not so bad for the price. The kid in you would love this place..oh and they have tomato soup. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. Clean and well organized, not much more for the cheesiest place in the plaza!

I've been wanting to try this new-ish place. It's been pretty popular on Yelp It's located in a private lot next to a couple other new restaurants This place reminds me of - the Stand I walked in and saw kiosks. I'm not a huge fan of these. So I went to the counter and that's where Jeremy helped us out. he was extremely patient and going over the menu. I did bring in my big tumbler cup and was honest, I explained I can only drink water right now while recovering from Surgery. He said absolutely no problem. And that I could use the water and ice machine to fill it up before I left. We got Two fries. One was garlic One regular One regular cheese burger A grilled cheese with pickles on it ( a special request) You order and pay at the counter Then, Rae came out and brought our food. Omg this woman was amazing. She kept making her rounds and making sure everyone was ok. I REALLY fell in love, when Rae brought out hot chocolate chip cookies on a baking sheet and was handing out samples. Delicious!! They have a big list of shakes too Good amount of seating Rae even made her round and asked if she can clean our food tray. We declined but she insisted This place is clearly a fast food chain, but the service was not giving fast food. I loved how caring and the great energy the staff had The food was good But I would really return for the great staff 5 stars for Jeramy and Rae The atmosphere was basic but very clean and easy to navigate And the food was really good if you're in a hurry (it came out fast) ONLY downside was, there was a lot of pink / red spots in my burger. I prefer well done. But I didn't say anything

It was a Friday night, and to my surprise, many restaurants were already closed. I drove into Bixby Village Plaza to see if anything was still open. "The Melt" stays open daily until midnight--so they won by default. This was my first interaction with this brand, so I kept my order simple: MeltBurger--1/3 lb of Angus and Wagyu beef, chopped and grilled with two slices of cheese on an artisan bun; an order of thin-cut Russet potato fries; and a fountain soda. (Notes: Sweet potato fries are available. Cans of nationally branded sodas are offered, but I opted for the fountain featuring Alameda Soda Co. products.) The serving of fries is generous, easily enough for two people to share in some cases. Though thinly sliced, the inside stayed perfectly moist. The seasoning was flavorful without being overpowering. The burger has an "old-fashioned" style that feels comforting. The meat patties were hot and juicy without being greasy, and the cheese was gooey. Though it's called an artisan bun, I'm pretty sure it's brioche. The décor of the store was clean, bright, and comfortable. The employees were upbeat and helpful, creating a welcoming atmosphere. This location did a great job representing the brand and making a strong first impression. I'll definitely be returning to this and other "The Melt" stores.

We recently stopped by Melt, and as a burger place, it definitely melted my heart! Ordering was quick and easy. You can either use one of the self-service kiosks or order directly with the cashier. We chose the kiosk, and it was very user-friendly. We ordered the Spicy Mission Burger Melt, adding bacon and tomato. The burger itself was juicy, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. Honestly, it didn't need any extra ketchup or mustard--the flavor stood on its own. Now, let's talk about the heat! Those jalapeños were in all their glory... and they were gloriously hot! Combined with the spicy sauce, this burger definitely brought the heat. If you enjoy a burger with a kick, this one won't disappoint. The restaurant was clean, and our food was served with a smile--and yes, that still matters! Friendly service always makes a dining experience even better. Overall, this was a delicious burger, great service, and a clean, welcoming atmosphere. I'd definitely come back to see what else is on the menu.

The workers are killing it at this location!! My friend fell in love with this place and recommended it. He is 100% correct. I want to highlight their amazing soda options- I never heard of Hangar 25 soda but as a person who doesn't like Diet Coke.. their Diet Cola is gooood. But my favorite is the black cherry. The flavors are so good and the carbonation is perfectly chrispy as it should be. Their chicken is juicy and the spicy version has a good spice to it. I would get again along with their Mac and cheese. It's a perfect comfort food combo to order at the end of a long week. I'm a huge pickle fan and these pickles are very good. Only thing that could maybe beat it is claussen. But that's my very specific taste haha I would definitely recommend the business get some umbrellas for their outside patio because literally on a hot day the sun beats down hard. But their inside has plenty of seating too! Parking is pretty plentiful but if it's busy you might have to circle if you come at a peak lunch or dinner hour. Love that they are open to midnight! I can see this become a regular spot for my friends and I. Super excited they have a great team kicking off this soft launch. The business chose wisely. A worker even gave us a free sample of cookies. And they were indeed fantastic. Come by and give the Melt a try!!!
