Don't eat here if you are vegetarian! While they are a cheese-forward business, you'd think as a vegetarian, you'd get some options that you wouldn't get at any other fast food place. And while there are Impossible burgers, fancy grilled cheeses, and Mac and cheese options, we've been burned twice where we had a Mac and cheese with bacon mixed in and an "impossible" burger that looked and tasted way too much like a meat burger. Went to l pick up dinner at a The Melt. I ordered the spicy chicken sandwich, the regular chicken sandwich, a strawberry lemonade. I got complimentary fries of choice for signing up to their rewards program. I choose the garlic Parmesan fries. The food was good. My son is picky about his crispy chicken sandwiches and he approved so we'll add this to the list of places he likes. The spicy chicken was good too. Stopped in during a rainy night time monsoon storm so the place was pretty empty. The good is it's clean. There's seating inside and out. You can order via kiosk or at the counter. Plenty POS machines so ordering should be quick and easy. You can place an order and grab some sort of digital timer and it rings. I was under the impression it gets brought to you but mines just rang as the food sat at the counter. So I got up a got it since it didn't appear it was going to come to me which is fine if that's how they are set up. Ordered the spicy chicken sandwich. It's a large chicken sandwich which is good for the price. It's definitely filling and it has a good flavor that matches fairly well with the jalapeños. There's a complimentary sliced pickle which is a nice add. My sandwich was cooked well and made pretty quickly, but drenched in sauce. In my opinion way too much sauce. Literally used napkins to wipe away some of it as it was leaking too much. ( The pictures don't show how much sauce dripped on the liner after I picked it up) It made the flavor unbalanced which was then multiplied by the jalapeño making it over the top spicy and hot. A little attention to detail would have made it a much better experience. The plating left something to be desired. It just sits on a aluminum tray with a liner. Mines was drenched with sauce so I had to cover it with napkins to have a dry spot to let it sit while I sip on some water. Definitely good portion size and reasonable prices. Execution aside it's a good choice for a quick bite with friends, family,. co-workers for lunch and late night eating. read more

I came for the first time and wanted to try a couple of different things because it all sounded so delicious! While I imagine their burgers are really their stars, I don't always love a burger so I opted for the philly cheesesteak. Also added the cheddar ranch bacon fries, a mini mac, and a strawberry lemonade (with plans to share between two of us). It is PLENTY of food, for sure! I loved everything. The cheese fries are some of the best I've had, layered so they're not like you see sometimes w a top layer of goodies and then a pile of dry fries at the bottom. They were delicious to the bottom! Mac and cheese is great, the sandwich had perfectly toasted bread and fresh jalapeños to add some extra spice. Loved the strawberry lemonade, will try regular lemonade next time. Got around to checking out The Melt on a Sunday afternoon. Ordered at the kiosk. If you order at kiosk, it's easier to customize what you want or don't want on your sandwich. Ordered the Patty Melt and the Mac and Cheese. Items are a bit pricey, however you get massive portions. Easily could have split half of the half sandwich between two of us and the Mac was big enough for a family of four. Food came out quickly and was hot and pretty tasty. We went to an evening concert at PV Park and The Melt faces the venue. We ordered the Original Melt burger, the BBQ Bacon burger, and sweet potato fries. We agreed it's the best burger we've had since last summer in Wales. The sweet potato fries exceed all other restaurants who attempt to serve them. They have a fresh brand of soft drinks that were delicious! Alameda soda. No High Fructose corn syrup involved. The diet cola was refreshing. And for dessert we split a Snickerdoodle shake. The Melt - Review We had lunch at The Melt yesterday, and overall, it was a solid experience. The place has an industrial vibe--think clean lines, exposed ducts, and polished concrete floors--but it's well-managed and spotless inside. We both ordered the Melted Cheese Burgers with fries and chocolate malts. The portions? Generous. One order of fries was more than enough to share, and trust me, we're not light eaters. The Melted Cheese Burger is exactly what the name promises--a totally insane, gooey, melted cheese masterpiece. It's messy in the best way possible. The toasted bun held up nicely, and the secret sauce (tasted like a mayo base with pickles and maybe jalapeños) tied it all together. The burger was cooked just the way I like it--juicy and flavorful. As for the fries, they're seasoned. I'm not usually a fan, but my wife loved them. If you like bold seasoning, you'll be happy. If not, maybe go light or skip. Now, the chocolate malts were ice-cold and thick. So thick, in fact, I tossed the straw--those tiny things don't stand a chance. Note to The Melt: ditch the skinny straws and bring on the jumbos. Service was friendly and efficient. No complaints there. The only hiccup? The price. Forty-two bucks for two burgers, fries, and shakes. A bit steep for a lunch, but the quality made it easier to swallow--pun intended. So here goes: My family and I went to check out the new PV Mall area, and chose The Melt for dinner after reading about all the new restaurants in the area in The New Times. My daughter got the crispy chicken sandwich and garlic fries and said both were really good. The fries seemed too garlicky/greasy so I didn't try them. She also got the mac n cheese and a fun cherry ginger soda, both of which she also said were really good. I ordered the Original grilled chicken sandwich and it was one of the worst I've ever had. It was rubbery and had no flavor at all. Because it felt like I was eating a Pink Pearl eraser, I took it off and tried to eat just the bun with lettuce and tomato but it wasn't good. I thought the pickle would liven it up, but it had a weird sagey taste. My husband got the Shroom Burger, which he calls the "Doom Shroom" because he said "it wasn't like a good burger. It was thin and tough and kinda greasy. Not special at all." My other daughter got the Original burger and said it was about a 4/10. For something that claims to be made with Wagyu and Angus, it should've been better. She also ordered sweet potato fries, which smelled and tasted exactly like the IKEA snack bar cinnamon rolls. (That's not a good thing.) Like, why the cinnamon? Maybe we should've stuck with a simple grilled cheese and tomato soup , or maybe the egg in a hole my husband was considering.
