A great girls night out. We enjoyed the 4 course but in reality it is just way too much food and some goes to waste. They really sell you on it though. We enjoyed the Cheese trio, coquette au vin and the dark chocolate and peanut butter. I would seriously never order that much on my own but this is a go with the flow kind of concept. Warning : if you get carried away in conversation you may forget to take your food out causing it to be overdone. So you cannot blame the chef for your overcooked shrimp or steak. I'm going to start off by saying that I absolutely love The Melting Pot. First time I went was over 15 years ago and it still ranks pretty high for one of my favorite places to go to celebrate! The experience itself, fondue, is SO much fun for me and is my favorite part, but also the quality and amount of food is great!! My husband and I came here to celebrate my birthday Friday night. We made reservations and we got there like 20 min early, but they sat us right away, so that was nice! Our server, Michelle, got us started quickly and she was fantastic the whole night! Everything came out in good time (not too fast or slow) and she helped to make our evening enjoyable! There were a lot of others celebrating birthdays that day too, which was nice. They had a free photo booth for everyone to try on their way. I loved that. It always has a very chill and private feel at the tables, you never feel like there's anyone else there while you're eating. (They do have curtains if you feel you need more privacy though) We ordered both sangrias (one was red and one was white), and then ultimately decided to get a pitcher of the Sunshine Sangria (white). Super good and refreshing! We then chose to do the Bigger Night Out menu. This included a cheese fondue of our choice, a salad of our choice, the Bigger Night Out menu (Lobster Tail, Center-Cut Filet, Teriyaki-Marinated Steak, Herb Crusted Chicken Breast, Shrimp, Atlantic Salmon, Wild Mushroom Ravioli) and chocolate. Cheese: We chose Fiesta. This was SOO good and it came with chips. She even brought us more jalapenos so we could add more spice to our liking. We added a charcuterie board (which is newer) and that was really tasty!! Salad: I ordered the Caesar, and mostly for the pine nuts! LOL She even brought me more! So delicious. And then my husband ordered the wedge salad. Entree: Bigger Night Out - everything was such great quality. I had never had the salmon, it was great! The chicken was really perfectly seasoned. The cook times that Michelle gave us were spot on. Chocolate: We went for the Candy Bar! At this point, we were so stuffed but you can't NOT have the chocolate. It was soooo good. And then brought me out a chocolate covered strawberry with a birthday candle on it! It was very sweet. i am absolutely disgusted by my experience. Amanda was rude and unprofessional from the moment we sat down, but that wasn't even the worst part. While walking back from the restroom, I personally witnessed Amanda and the manager, Patrick, coming in from outside and behaving in a way that strongly suggested drug use. Based on what I observed, I believe cocaine was involved. Amanda also appeared to have a white powder residue beneath her nose. As a customer dining with my family, I found this incredibly disturbing. What made it worse was feeling like there was nobody I could report it to, since one of the people involved was management. I've been to this restaurant before and had good experiences, but this visit completely changed my opinion. The bread was soft and veggies were good. We did the Cesar salad and wedge salad. Cesar salad was delicious and the wedge was just okay. We did Big Night Out Premium Filet Mignon*Teriyaki-Marinated Steak*Herb-Crusted Chicken Breast*Shrimp*Atlantic Salmon*Wild Mushroom Ravioli All proteins were good minus the salmon and the ravioli... I would pass on these next time. We choose the cast iron grill option where they told you how many minutes to cook each protein. The sauces were delicious. The desert "candy bar" was a little sweet but good. Fruits were all yummy. This was my first time and it was a pricey but great experience. The waitress was great and the ambiance was nice. We had a great time trying the melting pot's happy hour. We had a very attentive and helpful waitress and tried a bunch of new things. Any drinks regularly priced below $14 are just $5 and everything else is 1/2 off! They have an extensive menu that honestly makes it hard to even pick, but we tried the espresso martini (my husband said it was the best he's tried and it's my signature drink so he's tried a lot), the yin & yang (a good dessert drink), love martini (yummy light and sweet), the passion Paloma and the 1975. I almost always order the yin & yang here and an espresso martini everywhere else, but I am a cotton candy junky so had to try the 1975. It's a beautiful drink and neat experience to watch them pour it over the cotton candy, but I actually didn't care for the taste as much as I thought it would. The love martini was light and refreshing and the passion Paloma was flavorful just not as good. Overall I would recommend the espresso and love martinis again for sure, and the yin and yang only as a dessert because it is pretty creamy and heavy. For food we did the $40/person 4 course meal and had the baked potato cheese fondue, both the California and Caesar salad, the original cooking oil method and the candy bar chocolate fondue. The cheese fondues and candy fondue were both very good, even better than expected (especially with the abundance of choices) and we enjoyed both salads, but I didn't care much for the original cooking oil despite it being classic. Thank goodness we had the most amazing waitress who suggested we use their in house garlic powder mixture on everything, but I will definitely try a different oil next time. As for the sauces, our favorite was the blue cheese one (and I don't usually eat that so it's not strong at all) and the cocktail sauce. Overall it was a great deal and an enjoyable experience. Worst experience ever!! Not sure if the AC Broke but if it did they should not have opened. Place was a damp sauna that smelled like wet dog. Michele b was our server and only reason I know that is from our receipt. She barely made conversation, didn't tell us her name and was our worst server we have ever had. After first sitting down we overheard an argument between servers about a table and one saying how they hated the place. Michelle greeted us with a tray full of someone else's stuff and asked us for drinks. Then sucked her teeth when we didn't order alcohol. We have been there so many times and servers always go over menu. She didn't ask us if we have been there, acknowledge my wife's birthday or go over anything on the menu. We have been there so many times and had servers go over things, talk to us and make us feel welcome. On our reservation we had asked for Racheal who we had before and told us to mention it on the reservation and the manager also noted it under our names. I didn't see her while we were there and understand she might not have been there. But maybe somebody should have said something to us. She is so wonderful and really makes us feel welcome. So After giving her our drinks Michele b said "y'all know what cheese you want" we gave her our cheese order and when she delivered it she threw everything in so fast , spilling it outside the bowl. We noticed she was sweating profusely into the ingredients. Didn't say a thing until she was done and then said. " y'all know the rest of your order." Our cheese never got hot and the bread and veggies looked like they were just thrown on the platter in handfuls. After the Salads came out the food was dropped off before the cooking Liquid was even close to being hot. At one point I had to go outside to get fresh air because the air inside was so bad. When our chocolate dessert was brought to us she spilled the water from the cooking pot all over my leg and onto the dippers. She then asked if we wanted new dippers. Like we wanted soaking wet rice krispies and pound cake. We both noticed her wearing dead skull earrings? I would understand that at McDonald's. Not for a place paying 50 per plate. When we paid the bill we both clearly heard her suck her teeth again when we selected 20% for the tip. If it wasn't done right in front of me and wanted to avoid any confrontation I would have left a lot less. This place has been our favorite but has went downhill quickly. Looks run down and in need of cleaning. Dusty shelves and light fixtures which I guess I can understand sometimes. But the nice atmosphere in the quaint booth was totally ruined when we noticed what I hope was chocolate streaks all over the curtain but really resembled something else. My wife and I celebrated my birthday here and were disappointed. First impression was the DARKNESS of the place. Maybe that's considered "cool" but for us it was uncomfortable. Secondly we were seated in a booth with draw curtains. What is that about? The salad and entree was nice but not special. The waiter was very nice. Thirdly the waiter at the table behind us stayed with his party almost the whole meal and spoke continually to them in a LOUD voice which was disturbing. Fourthly after finishing our entree, our waiter laid the bill on the table without first clearing the dishes and walked away. That made it awkward to then ask for coffee and dessert. Well where do I begin? I was very excited to go to the Melting Pot for the first time with my wife as a date night. Reservations were made, we arrived on time and they walked us right to our table. That may have been the best part of the night. We got seated and our waitress saw us right away. We ordered water and two drinks. Thirty minutes later we still had not received either of those and our waitress had not shown back up to our table. When she finally walked by, I asked about our drinks which she got flustered and said someone else told her they brought them to our table. She came back right away with the waters, but the drinks were another 10 minutes. So here we are 45 minutes in and just received our water and drinks. Unsure of how long it will take we immediately ordered all of our courses. We were very excited to get onto the food, as it was now almost an hour in and we were hungry. As she brought the first course and started to make the cheese, some of the potatoes fell to the side. Understanding she has been carrying trays and hands are not sanitized, I thought she would leave it or pick it up to place on her tray. Instead she picked up the potatoes and threw them right into the cheese without skipping a beat. Then came the main course, which we got the bigger dinner that came with the lobster tail and a nice amount of food. As the night progressed we tried to put both incidences behind us. The food came out we were very excited, except for one thing. We never received our lobster tails. At this point we did not want to complain we just wanted to finish get the check and leave. What we were looking for in a nice date night turned into a night of unfortunate circumstances were blame was cast in a lot of areas, food was touched with bare hands and our order was not correctly delivered. I am hoping that this is a one time mistake as I love the idea and have heard so many great things. If we do go again and have the same waitress, we will be leaving :) read more

Fondue is Swiss, of course, but you might get through your meal without acknowledging that in any real way (there is a Raclette cheese option, a "Bourgonion" oil option for the meat, and a plain, dark chocolate dessert option, all of which get you closer to a Swiss fondue experience--for those that wish to stay on piste and avoid the more modern updates to the original concept). What it lacks in authenticity and terroir (it's a chain), it makes up for in thoughtful planning, seasoning, and ingredient choice. They have been doing this for a while and they will help you get there. Dining room is nicely appointed. And romantically subdued. Great "special" outing for the kids or perhaps a serious date outing for those who aren't hard core foodies and are looking for something different and memorable. Would be a mistake for serious corporate dining or if trying to impress someone who has been around and seen the world. Service was thoughtful and friendly. This was my second time at a Melting Pot location. The experience is always amazing. We walked in and was greeted by a very nice hostess who made us feel at home right away. We were taken to our seating which was a nice cozy but roomy booth with perfect lighting. Our waiter came out and was also very friendly and explained the menu to us (it had been a while) and also got our 10 year old a kids meal. Once we picked our meals, cooking styles etc he began to bring out the first round of fondu. The cheese!! We got the spinach and artichoke fondu and it was great. We ran out of dipping food before finishing the cheese and he brought out more with no hesitation. Next came the entrees. We used a mojo dipping style and had chicken, seafood, pork, steak and veggies it was all also great. Our 10 year old loved the experience and the food but of course his fav was the dessert! We picked the classic milk chocolate and devoured all of our dipping foods. All in all the night was great and our server was even better. I want to say his name was Remy. I attended with a group of friends for a birthday party, there were about 30 of us. Our servers were great! They were attentive to our needs and met all requests with a smile! Their attention to detail was amazing! We had Zack, Diamond, and Rachel as servers. What a team! The food was delicious, and the fun of cooking our own food was quite an event! I like the Melting Pot and have been to multiple locations. The experiences I've had at this particular one range from very good to just so so. We went for my son's birthday with a group of 5, having made reservations in advance clearly stating it was a birthday. Last year they'd prepared balloons for the table and did something special for dessert. This year, nada. Not even a mention of it from the hostess and waitress - both of whom were extremely frazzled, despite the restaurant not appearing to be any busier than usual. The Sunday night magician is friendly, but nervously awkward. I'm not sure if it's part of his shtick or what. The food is always decent, but the service can be slow (along with the fondue process in general). We were there for over 2.5hrs last visit. read more

The meat was weird and I didn't enjoy the way it was cooked. The server didn't care tHat we didn't enjjoy the drinks, and just dropped off a strawberry with a candle in it for a birthday. They sang for another table but not for us. It made us feel like we were being ignored. I was most upset we couldn't take home the broth. For $50 a meal you should get a container I can take home whatever I paid for All together I think it's a great concept and one time experience. My husband and I were very excited for a date night last night. We decided to make a reservation at The Melting Pot for 7:45 pm. We arrived a few minutes before our reservation and the hostess kindly took us to our romantic private table. I quickly went to the restroom while my husband ordered water for us and a cocktail for himself (I did not drink). We sat there chit chatting and noticed no one had come to check on us in a long time. The waitress turned the pot on and we were essentially getting facials with the steam coming from the pot. It was about 8:15 when our server came back to check on us and we were surprised she did not have our drinks. She said "I was told they were brought out". Strange, but ok. She was clearly flustered and we told her we'd like to order before she left our table again since we were starving and thirsty and she took 30 minutes to come back after the first time. We ordered the baked potato cheese fondu, salads, The Big Dinner that included the lobster tail. She came back a few seconds later with "snacks"- Tostitos chips in a bowl and white bread. We appreciated the effort. She took a few minutes the quickly drop off our water. At this point, it's been about 40-45 minutes since my husband ordered his cocktail and he still did not receive it. The waitress returned with the cocktail and the ingredients for our baked potato cheese fondu. She started mixing the potatoes and the cheese. She was still evidently flustered because cheese and potatoes flew out of the pot. She grabbed a potato with her bare hands and put it back in the pot. We were horrified, but she acted as if we didn't see that. When I opened my silverware, two out of the three pinch forks were dirty. We received one side plate with this course because she said they were out of plates. So we shared the one plate. The cheese fondue was ok. I enjoyed my house salad. She came back during the salad to confirm our bouillon for our main course. When we received our main course, we noticed the lobster was missing. At that point, we were just laughing at all the things that had gone wrong. But we made the most of it. The food was good. The dessert was by far our favorite. We would *possibly* come back just for dessert. The Turtle Flambé was so delicious. You can get unlimited treats with this course. My favorite was the pound cake and the strawberries. Absolutely delicious! All in all, we were highly disappointed in the service. She kept calling me "girl" as if we are friends. I definitely didn't appreciate that comfort level. Cesar salad is good & the Wedge. Our entrees were tender, fresh & very tasty. I recommend the Land & Sea & the Pacific Rim for a wide variety of proteins to cook. The menu at the melting pot has changed and so the experience is quite different than it used to be a few years ago. I've been to this Melting Pot several times, and each time I have left impressed with the service, the food, the atmosphere and overall, just how great the Melting Pot is. A few years ago, you used to have to order most things a la carte, which got a little confusing. Now, you have the option of ordering specific items by themselves or you can opt for the four course meal, which includes cheese fondue, a salad, a hefty portion of meat or seafood, and chocolate. I really wanted the ahi tuna (which I don't believe they've offered until recently) so I opted for the a la carte meal. I started with the Wisconsin trio, a blend of strongly flavored blue cheeses, and we also got the Grecian goddess cheese. I usually get the Wisconsin trio but I really like how strong it tastes. It was great with the bread and the vegetables. The Grecian goddess was a delicious option as well -- though it was a little bit milder than the Wisconsin. After the cheese came out, it was time for our entrees. Now, the idea of Melting Pot is that you get to cook your meat as little or as much as you want to. I've had almost all of their meat and it is really all very good. The ahi tuna was amazing though, definitely my favorite out of the bunch. We got the coq au vin broth as well as the complimentary broth. Both were pretty good, though the coq au vin had a stronger and more unique flavor due to the spices and wine. After we stuffed ourselves with the entree, it was time for my favorite course: dessert! Melting Pot does dessert very well. There are lots of options for chocolate dipping and all are pretty good. I've had a lot of different types of their chocolate, but my favorite have to be the cookies and cream and the flaming turtle. The chocolate is brought out with strawberries, pound cake, rice Krispy treats, brownies and bananas. All are excellent with the chocolate. The service here has always been friendly and top-notch, and it's always a pleasant experience to come to the Melting Pot. I can't wait to come back! read more

My husband an I shared a burner for the meal so for our cheese we did Wisconsin Cheddar. For the salad he did the House and I did Caesar. For the Main course He did the Classic and I did Steak Lovers in the Mojo Broth. And saving the best for last we did The Original, which tastes like a Reese's. Our kids ordered the Green Goddess Cheddar, for dinner they both did Steak Lovers in the Coq Au Vin finishing with the Bananas fosters for dessert. The cheese was delicious but I felt like the dipping options had a bad flavor. I think they should invest in better bread. The meat was a definite no for me. Not good. We went for my daughter's birthday. Food was good and our waiter was knowledgeable but we had some issues... (1) food was served ssooooo sloowwww! It's not even a busy day! There were a lot of empty tables and we even asked our server of it was a busy day and he said no. It was pretty slow.. (2)my daughter has food allergy but we were given shrimps!! This was after waiting for a long time.. they couldnt even get out orders correct! (3) my drink was served slow also! We asked for water refill... which also took forever! We ended up sharing our waters! Really... water??? (4) then dessert... which is really why my daughter chose this reataurant... we asked for xra strawberries which was given after forever! She didn't hve the appetite anymore! Food was good but will we come back or will i recommend... maybe another branch!! read more
