Honestly, we stumbled over to the Mill because the BBQ place on the same street with the 5-star Yelp reviews was closed on Sundays. (I was looking on my tiny phone screen and missed that all-important detail...) My biggest compliment goes to the very friendly and warm server. Just a delightful woman with a beautiful smile. Makes you feel at home as a visitor. The food. Hmmm. The Thai pasta was waaay too creamy and drenched in sauce for my taste, but my guy seemed to like it. The shredded carrots and chicken seemed like it was out of a prepared bag or something... The pasta dish was just incredibly creamy and drenched in sauce, which is all that you could taste. Every other ingredient was lost in the sauce. Pizza was pretty good, but nothing outstanding. I prefer my dough to be lighter in texture (but not too light). Needs more air in my opinion. ... This place reminds me of a bizzaro-world California Pizza Kitchen. Big salads, funky/cold/white-sauce/BBQ chicken pizzas and similarly interesting pastas... I think it wouldn't hurt if the kitchen used more local ingredients, simplify the menu a bit and feature seasonal menus? It wasn't a bad experience, I just wasn't wow'ed. I just felt like the food needed some new inspiration and use of more fresh ingredients... this may also be crucial because their menu is obviously a progressive menu, not a traditional one. 5-Star service, so I would go back and try something else on their rather large menu again if we happen to be visiting Murrieta. :) read more

The Mill is one of our favorite places to eat. Even though we moved from Murrieta to San Diego a few years back, we still come up to eat at The Mill. We bring the kids & love to sit out on the patio (they didn't have the patio back when we lived there so we love this addition). I always get one of 2 sandwiches...the Halo Penyo Turkey sandwich or the Black Forest Ham Florentine, both are always on sourdough & always with the yummy potato salad. I've never been disappointed in these sandwiches and they are always so good! My husband almost always gets the Chicken Apple Sausage sandwich and he loves it as well. My daughter loves the cheese pizza on the kids menu. We've had good service almost every time we've gone. Can't wait to go back! read more

Bruschetta is pretty good. I just had a snack while waiting for some one wish I had room for an entree Service is amazing. Lynne just started here and is on point. Super friendly and welcoming and has a contagious smile. What a great place. I can easily see why it's been here for so long.. Tracy sat me and I realized that I had just added her a few days ago to my friends on FB because we had a lot of mutual friends. Pointed it out was a good laugh. This place reminds me of cheers. We are getting ready to sell our home in Riverside & wanted to see the city of Murrieta as I have researched that they have a great unified school district & that the city is clean & much more affordable. So today my husband and I and our 20 mo old daughter drove into town to check things out. We had already decided to eat dinner while visiting to get a feel for the locals. We discovered this pleasant little restaurant & so very glad we did. We were immediately seated in their outside dining area which they have converted due to Covid-19. But they made it look and feel pleasant complete with umbrellas & a large carpet resembling grass. It's clean & quaint & you can tell the place is a local favorite as all of their inside & outside dining was full. Angie was our server & she was absolutely darling. She's friendly, fast & efficient. She even helped us decide what to order as we told her it was our first time dining here. She immediately informed us of their Monday night special which includes a salad to share, cheesy bread & a large pizza for $27. The salad is huge & delicious. Even after 2 servings for both of us we still had leftovers. Same with the pizza and cheesy bread. The cheesy bread has a house recipe they use for the base sauce underneath the cheese which is divine! I truly enjoyed it more than the pizza. Same with the garlic dressing they make in house. It's perfection! The only reason I'm giving a 4-star is the pizza is quite bland. Nothing special but then again we did order a basic pepperoni. Still, it was average for pizza at best. All of the people working there are pleasant. I think at least 3 other employees stopped to pick up our dirty plates, offer refills & even stop to chat with our daughter (which she loved). Angie even gave us some tips on areas to look at for houses & suggested another bordering city. We will definitely be back whether we decide to move to Murrieta or not. Everytime we've come here, we've always had good food. The first time we went I ordered their BBQ chicken pizza,cuz it was their lunch special, (BBQ sauce on pizza kind of frightens me) and it was surprisingly good! The pizza was not overpowered by the BBQ sauce and the crust was light and crispy. The chicken was also moist and tender. Obviously I was expecting a dried up, overly saucy BBQ chicken pizza, but I got the exact opposite. My husband got the 5 Cheese Simply and just fell in love with the place. The crust was thin and crispy (despite all the grease from the cheeses), and the flavor was oh so yummy. I have since gone low carb, and on a different occasion had one of their salads. Nothing too special about them, but they are absolutely huge! I think I could have fed 4 people my salad. So this is officially our favorite pizza place. We personally like it better than Temecula Pizza. Their staff is hit or miss. Sometimes we are totally ignored, and sometimes we get lots of attention. I think when we bring the kids we got lots of attention. Another good reason to have kids! read more

I've heard wonderful things about The Mill's breakfast, so I decided to give the restaurant another chance. My husband and I were greeted by a friendly server who seated us fairly quickly. When we ordered water, she didn't flinch and even mentioned that it was what she typically orders when she goes out- it made me feel much better about not ordering a drink when I didn't want one. Our server was very friendly and checked on us constantly, provided some suggestions of her favorite items on the breakfast menu (since we had never eaten breakfast there before). I chose the stuffed french toast one-and-one (one strawberry filled, one marmalade filled), and my husband ordered the pancakes and eggs. They were both large portions and the french toast was amazing! Given this experience we will definitely go back for breakfast. I'm not quite sure about going back for dinner, but breakfast is a definite must! read more

5 stars every time! Love this place! This is absolutely my favorite lunch spot. The jalapeño turkey sandwich is amazing and you must get any sandwich you order on the granary roll. They make their own sun dried tomato salad dressing and it's to die for. You can even buy it there and I always do. The service is impeccable 100% of the time. Menu is basically salads, sandwiches and pasta. I had the Thai chicken pasta, it was alright, but a little on the greasy side...pretty heavy cream sauce, not much chicken and it had a kick, too much red pepper for my taste. My husband had the pasta with sausage and said it was "okay". When we went, it was dinner time and busy. Waited for about 15 minutes or so. Although it was cool out, we sat outside which has patio heaters everywhere, so we were comfortable. Our server was friendly and helpful. Nice atmosphere, kid friendly. I can think of a few other places I would prefer to go to for this type of meal, but if we are hungry and nearby, I wouldn't rule this place out. read more

My family and I came in today for lunch and our server, Lynne was very nice. We ordered the Wild Mushroom and Sausage Pizza and it was delicious, I really liked the pizza sauce. We had the Sourdough Garlic Cheese Bread which was soooo good and the Santa Rosa Plateau Salad, delicious as well. We did use a coupon for $24.99 for all of the above, which was a great way for us to try the place out as first timers and not feel bummed if we didn't like it. Came in today to pick up a fairly large to go order! Had to get 8 meals for my coworkers, and they had it all packed and ready to go! I didn't get a change to dine in, but the place looked very cute inside, and clean. Our office is right across the street, and I'm not at this branch often, so having something like this right near is perfect! I didn't even know it existed! I will be back for sure when I'm in the area, my coworker's pizza looked AMAZING. My salad was decent, basic caesar, but my recommendation would be to NOT cut the lettuce so thin and small- I could't really get a good chunk on my fork, so I'm like slurping the lettuce ;) Other than that, very tasty place! read more

I've heard great things about The Mill. This was my first visit and I was not disappointed. We were seated immediately. We did have a bit of a wait after ordering and the server did explain that there one of the dishes we ordered had not come out right. The server gave us a complimentary appetizer to compensate for the wait. I ordered the Chicken and Capers over Spinach Fettucine. The dish was FANTASTIC! This review is for breakfast only. Four of us came in and the customer service was quite good. Overall, everyone was satisfied with what they ordered. I had the breakfast sandwich that was egg, cheese and bacon on sourdough. IT was okay, but nothing to write home about. The potatoes that came with it were as bland as I have ever had. Minimal onions & peppers and had to add salt and pepper to flavor them up. The wife enjoyed her pancakes and our company seemed to enjoy their respective omelets. Place had a good reputation so I thought I'd give it a try. The food is standard Italian fare. Pastas, personal pizzas, sandwiches. My husband ordered the 1919 which was basically a pizza margarita with Canadian bacon on it. He said he enjoyed it but he had ordered the salad and they neglected to bring it. When we asked about it later they said they weren't supposed to give him a lunch special but did anyway because our waitress had told us that it was a lunch special but didn't offer to knock off any price for him not receiving his whole meal. She did offer to give us some potato salad in a to-go box though. I ordered the angel hair pasta with sauteed Tomatoes garlic and cilantro and it was good but underseasoned. There was lots of oil but they give you huge pieces of plain bread to dip in it. I also ask for something in a to-go cup and it never came either. It was a nice atmosphere very clean not too noisy I saw groups and a steady stream of people coming so they definitely have some followers. Overall it was a pleasant experience not sure if I would go back though as there are other Italian places with a lot more food choices and better service. read more

The staff here is incredible. The gentleman that greeted us was very polite and warm. Our server was very nice, attentive and provided quick service. This place had a family vibe to it which we really enjoy. The chairs reminded me of the chairs my mom has at her dinner table, which I really liked. There was a very nice outdoor seating area too. We intended on coming here for breakfast, but the dinner place nearby we wanted to go to was a bust so we came here for dinner instead. I think I would have preferred saving this for breakfast. The breakfast menu looked great and people rave about it on here it seems. Our dinner was just ok, and really not worth the price we paid. My salad, the Santa Rose Plateau Salad, was nothing special. Chicken in it was cold which was disappointing. My husband got the "famous" BBQ Chicken Pizza and it was decent. Again nothing special though. His chicken was extremely bland. It honestly tasted like it was just boiled in water. The BBQ sauce was good, the cheese combination was yummy and the dough was good. Add some flavor to the chicken and this could be a decent pizza.
