This is a great restaurant and the staff is very friendly. The bar staff is awesome the reason for the three stars is everyone says they have a great Country Fried steak dinner and it was really just average. The meat was tender and the breading was great but they really miss the mark with the country gravy. I've had better from a grocery store package. No sausage And no spice. The consistency and service has dropped drastically over the last couple years. The steaks are seldom cooked properly and are mostly flavorless. Everything else is hit or miss. We recently picked up take out from the Mint and it was a great experience. From ordering, to pick up to eating the yummy dinner. We had the chicken fried steak, stroganoff and cheesecake for dessert. Everything was hot, fresh and delicious. They even put the gravy on the side. And, you can add soup or salad to an entree that doesn't come with those items for just $2. This will be our go to take out joint until we choose to eat inside again. read more

Overall, a C, maybe. The waiter was cool... the vodka-7 doubles we ordered were single vodka-waters. The steak fingers were tough. The clam chowder was awesome. My prime rib had fantastic jus, but was WAY over done and the potato was boring and bland. George's ribeye was thisclose to raw and super fatty. His streak fries were ok though... Last night after a very long day of driving we went to The Mint. The sign said it closed in 15 minutes but there were 2 ladies singing and playing guitar and 5 couples 2 stepping, the hostess sat us without missing a beat and our server Tamera said we'll get your order to the kitchen real quick and welcome to Belgrade Montana! That meant so much to me after being on the road from Tennessee for almost 2 weeks! We travel for my husbands work and eat out ALOT, and this was one of the best meals I've EVER had! It was prepared perfectly and I know when the kitchen takes pride in what they serve and when they don't, these folks knocked it out of the park! Tamera was amazing and never rushed us and was very knowledgable about the history of The Mint as well as the area. We look forward to seeing y'all again real soon! Holy moly. This Resturant's food was over the top delicious. My husband ordered the pork chop and didn't speak the whole time he devoured it except after he finished to say " that was the best pork chop I ever ate in my life!" And we eat out a lot and all over the world! I had the beef shoulder with cheesy grits. So amazing I licked the plate. A definite recommend. In a word; "phenomenal". I had my second meal at The Mint last week (August 16) and it was as equally good as the first. On my first visit, I had the Beef Stroganoff. It was outstanding. The owner(?), after learning it was my first visit bought me my first beer. This visit, I opted for the Ribeye steak. It was the best steak I have ever eaten (and I have had Kobe Beef in Tokyo!). The waiter was wonderful (I only wish I had written down his name). From the outside, I was not expecting much, but the inside opens to a cozy and comfortable atmosphere. I HIGHLY recommend The Mint if you are ever near the Bozeman Airport, or even if you're not! It's well worth the trip! read more

Edited review: They stopped doing gluten free onion rings, and don't have a dedicated fryer anymore. The Mint is still able to do gluten free meals, just not fried foods anymore. The owner went out of his way to let me know they can still take care of those if us with celiac /or gluten intolerance. read more

One of our favorite places to leave full and feel good! This restaurant is truly a place to bring multiple generations or just go on a date with a loved one. There are options for everyone. Great dinner tonight at Mint. Love the atmosphere of quiet country music, simple, tasteful decor that's not trying so hard to atmospheric. Mint relies on great food and friendly service to set the vibe. We had the salmon, beef shoulder (pot roast) and caesar salad. All were great. Started with the spinach artichoke dip with homemade focaccia toast. Both also great and wonderfully mixed cocktails (old-fashioned & mint julep). The new owners have created a wonderful new restaurant that I bet will be home away from from for locals as well as visitors. When we get back to Bozeman we will definitely eat here. The basil pesto was very rich, filling, and tasty. I ordered with chicken, however other options were available. A friend ordered the meat loaf and enjoyed it very much along with a new sauce topping. The serving sizes were large, so this is definitely a place you can order dinner with and have a lunch for the next day. Amazing and unbelievable aren't strong enough words to describe how much we loved this place. The pork chop was possibly the best I've eaten in my life and that is a long time. Brined for 3 days and then sous vided. So delicious!! Special appetizer was mussels in a white wine and garlic sauce with a touch of chimichuri sauce and cilantro pesto. Crazy good. So far I have had salads, soups and the prime rib, and everything has met my expectations, which after all the raving reviews were set pretty high. Service was very attentive and friendly. This was a recommendation by the hotel. Came in for a late dinner at 8:30 after a long day. Order for two consisted of French onion soup, New England chowder, mussels, stroganoff. The chowder had plenty of potatoes but was light on clams and bacon as listed in the menu. Stroganoff came out cold and we sent back returning 10 minutes with less meat and more mushroom then the original dish. Giving the management their due, they comped the meal and presented dessert with an additional discount on the check. Service was prompt and management attentive. This was a difficult situation for me in determining a tip. I tipped on the value of the check at 18%. I did not feel tipping on the comp meal or dessert was appropriate. One respect I felt the server took a hit because of the kitchen yet I couldn't justify tipping on the ordered meal. read more
