If you're like me when you move you recruit the help of a few friends, their truck/van and payment for their help in the form of gratitude, beer and pizza. However, with my recent move (on 4/10/18) I decided to hire professionals--One Shot Move. It was the first time I hired movers and overall I'm glad I did but I learned a invaluable lesson along the way, ask the moving company to use blankets when moving your furniture. Otherwise it will end up scratched like a few pieces of my furniture did. I emailed them promptly to notify them of the damage and received a phone call later from Victoria where she offered repair of the item...I'm still waiting (4/19/18).

My girlfriend and I hired One Shot Movers to help us move today and the two guys who showed up, Shaun and Igor were awesome. Not only did they quickly and efficient pack and move our stuff, they fit everything in the truck for one trip. Shaun and Igor were friendly and had no problem putting stuff where we needed it. Definitely recommend them to anyone moving

One Shot Movers is a great company to help you with your moving needs. This is my second time using this company for a cross-country move. This time, we asked for help unloading our belongings from our storage pod into our two-story home. Two gentlemen arrived at our place ON SCHEDULE and got straight to work. They worked tirelessly unloading two 16 foot storage containers and did it in a little less than 3 hours! Totally made my day. They brought dollies and other equipment to help carry the larger pieces into the home. None of our pieces were bumped against anything and definitely no damage to our floors or belongings. Everything was handled with care and precision even in the toughest and tightest turns - like taking a king-sized matress and sleigh bed frame around a 90 degree turn and up a flight of stairs. I highly recommend you try this company if you are considering a move.

    All smiles!

The day began, early and tired. Even though it was the big moving day, we were not bummed out. This is because we had booked OneShotMove Moving Company! Alex and and Igor were friendly, and moved my stuff quickly and carefully from my storage unit to my apartment. The process was painless -- I might even say downright pleasant! They will be my go-to guys for my next move, 100%

Great workers: The movers sent were awesome. Toby, Max, Diaz, and Jony were awesome. These guys were like machines - they started the second they got out of the truck until they left. High Costs: when you hire this company, expect that everything is an additional cost except the movers and the truck. You need garnet boxes, great - extra cost. Fast pack boxes? Extra cost. Can you hear the cash register? It adds up. Where the move gets pricey is if you cannot move right into your new house. Our old house closed escrow before the new house could so we had no where to put our belongings for about 10 days. Everything was loaded into the truck, taken to a storage facility and unloaded. The work meter is still on so you are basically paying to move into storage. When your house is ready - you pay to move out of storage and into your house. Are you seeing why it is so expensive to move with this company? I paid to move twice - from my house to storage and from storage to my house. But that's not the worst of it - YOU ARE CHARGED FOR AN ENTIRE MONTH OF STORAGE. They don't prorate your storage. Our belongings were in 2 units for 10 days and we were charged a full month of rent for each unit. We also packed some of our materials. If you choose to do the same - make sure you mark the boxes that were yours otherwise they will charge you for the box if you decide to keep it. I am lucky in the sense I could afford this hosing and at the end of the day - they have everything you own so you have to pay all the fees whether you like it or not. Just be warned - this company can be very expensive. Note: this is a factual review. I am a true customer with a work invoice dated 11/27/2018.

I call them they told me one hour 69 cash or 79 if i pay with credit card . When they came to my apartment they ask me to pay double drive or they gonna leave . The guy his name I'd farouk he ask me u have ta answer me now yes or no . And he leave me in bad situation. Really thus is bad company. Don't use this company.

I take back every kind word I said about this stealing company. I used them three times and you would think they would do the right thing and fix what they broke as I have been a loyal customer. See you in court. Don't use this company. I have reported them to the better business bureau

handled this "pivot" situation like pros. (#friends ^.~)

What a fantastic moving company! Jahon and Parviz did an amazing job of helping me move my 1-bedroom from storage into an apartment building that had no elevator (I'm on the second floor)! They were very prompt, really friendly, and very efficient. They came prepared with everything I could have needed, and they were in high spirits the whole time despite the heat and stair climbs. I really appreciate their hard work, and am so happy to be all moved in. Thanks for sending me two great guys, One Shot Moving!! I'm hoping I won't need to move again for a long time, but if I do, I will definitely be asking for these two again. Cheers!

Do Not Reccomend, be warned…read more I hired this company because of its strong reviews and was willing to pay more for a professional, efficient move. Unfortunately, my experience was the opposite. I paid about $1,650 before tip, roughly $1,800 total, and ended up with damaged furniture, a damaged wall, a broken TV stand, and an excessively long move. Two of the three movers appeared to speak almost no English, and the third spoke limited English and had to translate for the others. The issue was that the crew could not reliably understand or follow instructions. Several times I made specific requests and was told "OK, OK," only for the crew to continue doing exactly what I had asked them not to do. At one point I had to repeat myself about five times and finally stop them and insist they change the loading order. It should not require an argument to get movers to follow a clear instruction. I own expensive Stickley furniture and other high-end pieces and explicitly told the crew that several items needed exceptional care. I repeatedly asked for more padding and blankets because certain pieces were not adequately protected. On at least two occasions I specifically asked for another blanket, and the mover simply repositioned the existing blankets and kept wrapping. When the furniture was unwrapped, I found scuffs on leather, scratches and chips in wood, marks on my TVs, a broken leg on my nearly new TV stand, and damage to several other pieces. The problem seemed less like laziness and more like lack of experience, organization, and leadership. The time reinforces that concern. My previous move involved significantly more belongings, more preparation by the movers, and a destination about 30 minutes farther away. It also used three movers and was completed in about 5.5 hours, including double drive time. Based on that, I expected this smaller move to take about four hours, five at the absolute most. Instead, it took about eight. Everything except furniture was already packed, I had removed many fragile and awkward items myself, and I had reserved a loading area and dedicated elevator. Even so, individual trips between the apartment and truck were taking roughly 20 minutes despite the distance being only about 32 steps each way. I expected roughly $800-$1,000 plus tip. Instead, I paid about $1,650 plus tip. In my estimation, I paid at least $650-$800 more because of the crew's inefficiency and lack of experience. The most unacceptable incident involved damage to my old apartment. Near the end of the load-out, I found a substantial fresh gouge/chip next to an electrical outlet. I immediately brought it to the movers' attention, and they denied causing it. I had plugged my vacuum into that exact outlet and vacuumed the area no more than ten minutes earlier. The damage was not there then, and it was there after the movers worked there. Damage can happen during a move. What bothered me was being told something that repeatedly that, was plainly not credible. I contacted the company immediately and sent photos. I had to follow up repeatedly before being told the claims department would contact me. The following business day came and went without contact, leaving me to address the damage with my landlord. There was also an issue with the drive between locations. Before leaving, the lead mover and I compared Google Maps and both showed about 29 minutes. The truck then took a different route and arrived about 11 minutes later. Because the company charges double drive time, that effectively became about 22 billable minutes @ 200 per hour. The workers were personable and they did work. My criticism is that the company sent a crew that appeared inadequately trained, inadequately supervised, inefficient, unable to communicate effectively, and unable or unwilling to follow clear instructions regarding expensive property. I chose this company because its reviews made me believe paying a premium would buy professionalism, efficiency, and care. That is not what I received. I would not use this company again and cannot recommend them

Moving is usually incredibly stressful, but Robert and his team made the entire process absolutely seamless. From the moment they arrived, they were professional, efficient, and incredibly careful with all of my belongings. Here is what stood out the most: - Punctual & Hardworking: They arrived right on time and didn't waste a single minute. - Expert Handling: Everything--from fragile boxes to heavy furniture--was wrapped securely and handled with the utmost care. Not a single item was damaged. - Fantastic Attitude: Robert and his crew were friendly, polite, and went above and beyond to make sure everything was placed exactly where I wanted it in my new home. If you are looking for a moving company that is reliable, honest, and does an excellent job from start to finish, ask for Robert's team. I will absolutely be using Trek Movers for any future moves!

They moved my stuff in record time and took care of everything really well. However.... after the move, some shiesty things happened. They said that they couldn't take a credit card and would only accept Zelle, but charged me the credit card price which is $20 more per hour. The owner tried to say that there's some sort of fees, but there are no fees for Zelle. The difference was well over $200 so this is why they're getting three stars and almost got two. As a business owner, I can't really refer them just for this reason.

I scheduled my move three weeks prior. I got no confirmation the day before the move and I got no phone call the day of the move when I finally decided to call them because they gave me the window of 8 AM to 10 AM and it was already 9:30 AM when I called. I Was informed that the moving truck had broken down and so they were having a mechanic work on it so they should be there within an hour that did not happen. The movers did not arrive until 1215 and the mover. Joel told me that he didn't know anything about a truck being broken. He just knew someone called off and they called him in to work last minute on his off day. He wasn't even supposed to be working then after only an hour of work Joel and his partner tell me that they have to take a lunch break. Needless to say I was shocked. I also explained to Joel that I needed him to move certain furniture that I was not keeping to a certain area on my street for trash pick up. He fought me on that and almost drove off without moving the furniture to the right spot because he was so ready to go have lunch even though I was kind enough to offer them drinks and snacks. I have never heard of a moving company scheduling a lunch break right in the middle of a move that they were two hours late too. It just doesn't make sense that never happened prior to Covid when I scheduled my moves with this company. Then I had to get on the phone with Jonathan and he was very nasty and kept telling me that I need to speak clearer and calm down or he will hang up on me. Speaking to him was the only way I could get the movers to shift the furniture on the street to the right location. I am also definitely missing some things even though they let me check the truck afterwards, but who knows what happened when they went to lunch with all my things in their truck. After all this trouble, Edgar was only able to give me $100 discount which I am thankful for but with the service I received that day. It should've been free 99. Very sad to see this company follow the trend post Covid of not given a damn about its loyal longtime clients! They cost me money that day also as I had to call off work due to their huge timing delays!!! They showed me no remorse for that either! So just an hour after posting this Edgar called me and heard me out and was kind and generous enough to refund me 300$ and give me 200$ off for my future move! Now that's how you handle loyal long time customer complaints BRAVO!!! God bless!!!
