Owner is an arrogant jerk ! We always order the same pizza whether ordering pickup or eating at the restaurant. It's tomato, garlic and basil and have them put the basil on after pizza is cooked. Have been for years. Today on Saturday we ordered that pizza for pickup. Checking the pizza when we picked it up, the basil had been cooked and there were onions on top. We are allergic to onions so that wasn't going to work. The woman at the pickup window said she told the kitchen exactly what I had asked for and would see if they could make another. Then the owner came to the window and said what we got is on the menu (true) and it's premade and refused to change anything. AT A PIZZA PLACE! We told him we have been ordering it that way for years and if he won't make the way we ordered, we'll take our money back. This has officially been added to our favorite weekly pizza rotation. The cheese pizza is consistently made to perfection. Service is prompt and attentive. They have a great beer option, which of course goes well with pizza. We arrived right at opening, so it was quiet. It's a pizzeria and they don't do small pies on the weekend..they should put that on the menu they gave us with small pies on it. Didn't bring the salad with my friends meal. Pretty good pizza for the late night munchies! We got the eggplant and the fra diavolo. The fra diavolo as expected was the most interesting! It has white sauce, greens and garlic! We got the wedge salad and it had a hefty amount of blue cheese. We also added anchovies which really adds to the blue cheese funkiness. Not my favorite but it was a hit with the folks we ordered with so if you're into funky salads, this place has it. It scratched the pizza itch and would recommend for a late night snack. read more

Stopped in here today and this place is very classic! The inside has the vintage pizza place feel and the staff is friendly. I had a French onion soup while I waited for a pizza to go. The soup was really good and the pizza is excellent if you are a thin crust fan. The sauce had great flavor to it. Very cool that they have a drive up window to pick up take out orders. I've been doing a lot of local take out due to covid-19 and Mountain House has the worst set up. They have a drive-up window that causes a line of cars to spill onto a busy road. You pay at the window and if your order is ready they hand it to you. If your order is not ready, which it wasn't for about 80% of us you then proceed ahead and park in their lot. They will then come into the parking lot screaming your name when your food is ready. Pizza is always good but pick up was a nightmare. Will wait until fully open to return. read more

I give a 2 because the pizza, specifically the thin crust personal pie did not taste like authentic, raw, and cheese based pizza, rather middle school pizza. Honestly, I went in with high expectations due to the environment and usual outing by fellow college students but this is not authentic Italian pizza. I am fond of Italian food and the pizza simply was not good at all. It's not because it was thin either for the fellow skeptics, as I've had much Italian authentic pizza straight out the oven. Our server was probably a high school kid (seemed young) but he was really polite and hospitable. Caesar salad was good, but the buffalo wings were so not it. Our bacon & cherry pepper pizza was SO salty - we actually saw the salt flakes on the cherry pepper. The other pizza which is our usual go to was delicious (tomato, garlic). Love love lovee their pizza's, especially their Margarita Pizza. Absolutely the best! The first time I've ever had it, it was a burst of flavor in my mouth. You don't taste the bread as much because it's flatbread; it's more about the toppings/flavor. It'll be tough to find better pizza around. Interior is very homie, as well as their food. THE BEST PIZZA I've ever had. the atmosphere is awesome. Very old fashion and the menu has so much on it. Owner is awesome, made sure to come by and check on us. Make sure you get the fried calamari too , so good! We ended the night with their chocolate chip cookie cake which was amazing. My husband and I have been regular customers of this establishment for years. We have always been happy with the food and service until tonight. We ordered a sausage parm sandwich. When I took the sandwich out of the container it was very thin which is unusual for a sausage parm. I opened the sandwich and found that there was barely any sausage on the sandwich. There is literally more bread than sausage. I called the restaurant and spoke to a manager and explained my situation. His response was that the chef only puts two sausages on a sandwich and has always done this. I don't know what kind of sausages they use but it definitely didn't look like two sausages. He didn't seem to care that we were unhappy and paid $18 for that unhappiness nor did he care that we no longer will eat at his establishment. I am not a complainer so if I called to complain there is really a reason. When I waitressed that is not how the manager would have responded. My husband and I usually split a sandwich and are full when done but not with this one. We are both still hungry after eating the $18 sandwich. And to top it off the fries were soggy. I am actually more mad at the response from the manager, not how you should treat customers. As you can see I wrote a nice review prior to this one and am sad to have to write this one. Apparently the menu posted at www.mountain house is not the menu they are charging people with. there must be many complaints because the girl at the pickup window had the "black menu" to show me that this is the online one, there is no such menu online! we don't even liv3 locally but decided to give business to a place we went to while growing up. I love the food at this restaurant, Which is such a shame seeing as I will probably not be returning. I have been to Mtn. House pizza a couple times and have always been happy with the service and the dinner, but the last time I was there on 7/1, I overheard a white server saying the n-word in a full dining room in reference to another customer. It completely made me lose my appetite and I could not believe it. I'm not sure of what her name was but she was on the older side and had short hair. It was so unprofessional, disgusting and unacceptable especially in a work setting. It was incredibly disappointing that I now I do not want to support this business because of a racist server. While the pizza is good, the service leaves a lot to be desired. The joint is run by a bunch of "kids" that clearly have not had good training in service and they appear to be afraid of some "boss" that is never present. Lack of follow up on tables, blah attitude, and lack of flexibility in sharing checks. There seem to be very strict rules for the staff, they will not bend in basic common sense. We planned a birthday party for 16 people and they were so unaccommodating it was pathetic. I still went back once more and the service was equally bad. Whoever the owner is, invest in training your staff which in turn will improve your customer satisfaction. The pizza is good but not that good, wont be coming back ever again, nor will many friends that experienced the same poor service. Such a shame. read more

I placed a big order at 4:15pm in order to have food in time for a birthday dinner. I arrived at 5:04 for pick up and they asked me to park in the lot because it was not ready. At 5:35 i call the restaurant in which they tell me they are bringing my food out. I get home and all the food is cold.
