I showed up around 3:30 and he recommended a two chamber Flowmaster. I was great because he said let's start there and see if you like the sound. Last week, I called The Muffler Doctor and spoke with the man himself, Ernie. I told Ernie about my stock V6 Mustang and how I wanted to beef up the sound. Ernie gave me a few suggestions over the phone and was very helpful. Today, I stopped by the shop to have the work done. Ernie met me at the front and had me pull in the garage to check things out. Ernie pointed out that my setup already had an X pipe and didn't need one installed...talk about being honest. After a few video examples of how I wanted it to sound, Ernie had just the right mufflers in mind. Ernie also pointed out that my front brake pads were shot and my rotors had grooves deeper than the Pacific Ocean. He offered to replace the pads and spin the rotors in house...all for one low price!! 3 hours later (no appointment made), my 'Stang was ready. Sounds amazing!! Couldn't be happier!! Definitely exceeded my expectations. And the mufflers haven't even broke in yet. Big thanks to Ernie, pops and the crew! read more

I was recommended to muffler doctor by my brother who went to get his muffler installed and man, I am so glad I went here to get my muffler work done. The most important thing is remember to make an appointment before you come, that is crucial unless you want to just chill around. Anyways, with cars there is a lot of trial and error , so I been coming here for at least 3-4 times already and today I came to improve my car sound because the current set up I had wasn't loud enough to my satisfaction. Wait time today was a bit later than appointment time , but that was fine since they were almost finishing up with the other car. Ernie, the muffler guy, called me up to park my car on the lift so he can start working on it. He asked me what I desired for my car and I asked him recommendations for the most nicest sound my car can achieve and he recommended me a super nice set up I have never thought about : straight pipes mufflers with magnaflow resonator. I honestly don't know how that would sound, but I got muffler work done with Ernie before so I took his word. After about an hour - one hour 30 min, the job was complete and wow; my car sounded so nice and aggressive like how I hoped. I was a nervous initially about how it was going to turn out, but I'm glad it sounds amazing now. Ernie is the man to go to for any muffler work. He knows what what is good and gives really great advice! And Ernie is really honest , he doesn't try to make you get stuff you don't need. I honestly thought my quad tips on my Acura would have to be thrown out for new tips, but Ernie found a way to make them connect to the pipe so that I can keep the oem tips. Overall, my total cost was really decent and was a lot better than other shops I checked out before. Muffler doctor is the place to get muffler work done; I am from OC and it is worth the 45 min drive to get things done. Shoutout to Ernie for a super clean job! read more

I had extremely good service here. Ernie and his crew installed a cat-back exhaust on my 2015 Camaro V-6. He patiently answered all my questions and gave me plenty of options. Great guys, honest and will give you a great deal. I had a bracket broken from my axle back which was connected to my muffler. One of the guy wielded it back for only $20. I am a true believer in YELP, although sometimes people abuse it in the wrong way. I was referred to this company through a friend of mine who owns a mechanic shop. My friend told me he has heard "GOOD" things from this shop, so I thought I would give it a shot solely from his recommendation. I drove down to the shop and met with the Owner "Ernie". I told him what I was looking for on my truck and without hesitation Ernie had a game plan. He made some calls, gave me a price, and asked me, "You have an hour?" After giving him the green light, and the hour passing, the truck was completed. He got rid of 1 muffler and 1 resonator. He added some Flowmaster's and a black 5 inch tip to the rig. The moment of truth came and Ernie fired it up. Nice rumble to bring out the 7.3 "Godzilla" in the 250. I was so impressed with Ernie's skills, I brought a Camaro down the following morning for a breathing treatment as well. Once again, Ernie did not disappoint. He took off 70lbs of baffling bs and added some Mag's with an "X" pipe and black 4 incher's in the rear. Great rumble and just what the Doctor ordered. Ernie was beyond professional, and knowledgeable about his craft, AND gave me an honest and fair price in my opinion. I highly recommend this muffler shop for all of your exhaust needs. Called in the morning on a Saturday, brought in my car, as soon as a lift was available they put mine right on there and did a complete cat-back and resonator removal on my 2010 Mitsubishi Eclipse 3.8L V6. I went with a Magnaflow 'Wicked' series. Took them 30 minutes to do thenwhole thing. Nestor the boss was aweome, Ernie the main mechanic did great work, and now the car has an extra 20% HP and sounds great. Have always been going here for all my exhaust needs. I usually deal with Ernie as he is always been very helpful and friendly, he's literally done all my cars. Unfortunately he wasn't there this time and this Ricardo guy was price gouging me for something Ernie has done for me before for a fair rate. Regardless I said screw and went back 2 days later just so I can get my exhaust done. Called ahead of time and they said they closed at 5pm. I showed up about 3pm and talk with a different guy who said yeah just pull around back. The Ricardo guy pulls up and helps a truck get loaded in, then sees me and tells his guy to tell me he is doing the trucks muffler and is closing(at 3pm?) and refused to do mine. That Ricardo dick head is the reason I will never do business there again. I am literally taking my business and all my referrals to another shop. Sorry Ernie but that guy ruined it and seems to be a common reoccurrence when people leave bad reviews because of him... read more
