Long wait times for average food and coffee. I understand that they are new but they have been open a little while now. They have only 2 employees on a Sunday morning. One person does the counter and coffee drinks and the other is making sandwiches. They were cheerful and tried to be helpful but not very well trained or organized. My bagel took about 10 minutes to make and they completely forgot about my coffee until I went back up to ask about it about 10 minutes later. They weren't even very busy. While I was waiting I saw 2 people walk out because they were second in line and there was nobody at the counter to even take anyone's order. The food and coffee are fine. It definitely was not worth the wait on a Sunday morning. read more

There is no Starbucks on this corner of Champlain & Perrin, which, if you're like me, is a good thing. That said, these guys fill the coffee void for this shopping center and I couldn't be more stoked. Great coffee, they pull amazing shots here, and they're even dog friendly! The several times I've been here already I've already seen lots of small little dogs who are well-behaved. We even brought our little puppy in here once too. Now, let's keep our fingers cross these guys stick around for a long time. It's hard for mom and pop coffee shops to make it in a city obsessed with chains and big box retail. read more

I work at the CVS/Pharmacy next door. We were all very jazzed to see a little coffee shop going in next door! No more long waits at Starbucks or waiting in line at a Drive-Thru and getting to work late because of it. These guys are amazing. They knock out orders fast. Are very courteous and their prices are so reasonable compared to other coffee shops. Atmosphere is great and the staff have been very attentive and helpful. Such a cute new coffee shop on Champlain & Perrin! Used to be Lucy's Lair, right next to Bobby Salazars. Inside is welcoming with comfy chairs, outside has patio tables with umbrellas. Lots of coffee choices and good quick breakfast and lunch options. Breakfast was great - my husband had an egg bagel sandwich and I had the egg croissant sandwich which were both really good (sausage was delish)! Much more flavor than Le Parisien breakfast across the street. They have only been open one week and are still working out the kinks because the food came out slow. But the manager was so nice and even gave us coffee vouchers to come back with a genuine apology. She was great and of course we totally understood. Especially loved the Britney and 98 degrees station playing in the background can't wait to go back! read more

Yellow Mug Coffee is a cute little coffee shop near the Woodward park area. I have to say the new owner is really nice and really builds a relationship with his customers. The coffee tastes good and they have some creative flavors. The only thing that has changed from the previous owner is that their coffee tastes more milky and less coffee like and that the coffee is always lukewarm for some reason. read more

I stopped by here after a workout class and got the lavender latte with Almond milk. It was absolutely delicious! It was not too sweet or too bitter. Just right! I will absolutely be back. Also, it has been a bit difficult finding coffee places that allow customers to bring their dogs. But Yellow mug coffee allows them as long as they are on a leash! read more

Had the oddest interaction with a customer here that made me feel very uncomfortable. I walked outside to get something out of my car and a group of people were by the door inside and I had no choice but to walk right through their conversation due to them being in front of the door. I have a fairly quiet voice but I in fact did say excuse me to this group of people. A few seconds later an older man who was not a part of the conversation came up to me and said he didn't hear me say excuse me and I told him I did and he claimed he had excellent hearing. I politely told him to let me be because I was studying and he left, well it doesn't stop there. He went up to the group of people and asked them if they heard me say excuse me, and mind you it's a little noisy in here with people having conversations, the coffee machines, and plus music. They ended up saying they didn't hear me either which was understandable due to the background noise and my quiet voice. After he was done talking to them he looked in my direction and said, "I was right!!" I have never had such an uncomfortable experience at a coffee shop before. He did this and no one told him anything and they let him act like a bully. He seems to know the employees well and the artist who paints here so I felt like there wasn't a point in complaining to the staff that I felt harassed by this 70 year old man. I hope the mug reads my review and takes into consideration that all customers are entitled to a pleasant experience when they just want to get some good coffee. I've always been a fan of their fog breaker and would come by when I could, but unfortunately this experience will probably be the last due to the interaction I had with this older man. read more

I came here the day Starbucks were closed. I am so glad I did. I had a decaf americano and it was the best americano I've ever had. Came here on a whim! It's a really cute coffee shop where your dogs can come in and hang out too. The furniture is comfy and lots of space to study if you need to. The coffee itself is okay... I didn't want something sweet and the girl gave me some suggestions. I just ordered a regular iced latte with English Toffee syrup/sweetener. Meh.. not something I would order again. Sure you can get coffee anywhere but when you get Coffee from the Mug you also get an experience. Michael and Crystal have the biggest hearts and put the community first. It really is the community's coffee shop. Their baked goods are out of this world and the place is just somewhere cool to hang out. If you haven't tried it you have to. Sure there is no drive through but the Mug is a place to go hang not just sip and run. However you will get hooked and it's worth parking to run in even when you're in a rush. We went her again this past Saturday and each of us had delicious coffee drinks. I had a hot soy mocha 'for here' which means they put it in a big ceramic mug which I love them for. Thank you. It was beautiful and it tasted like coffee heaven. My daughter said her cold beverage was yummy and we split a piece of coffee cake that, honestly after the first bite, I wished I didn't have to share. The music was nice, we were comfortable and enjoyed our drinks. One tiny downside was the lights were very dim and we were not sitting near the windows, so a little more light would have been good, but still didn't stop me from having a good time. read more
