Up until last year, I could have the manicure done by anyone at Nails 2000. Most recently, my gel manicures have been a hit or miss. If I don't specifically request for someone I've had before, then I could risk having a very faint ombre design or worse - polish not lasting for even a day. The male nail techs are usually great on both manicures and pedicures (Alex, Michael for pedi). Other nail techs I'd recommend from experience are Helen and Mary.

There was dead skin and dirt still under my nails. "It looks like you did it yourself" my partner told me after he looked at it. I told the manger and he brought out a hot towel to wipe my legs off and told me the technicians try their best to remove the skin and whatever else and I let him know for $86 it should look much better than it did. I was asked to pick out a color and directed to a spa chair for my pedicure. I noticed a younger female employee sitting nearby, watching a male technician work on another client's pedicure. It looked like she was in training, which I completely understand because everyone has to start somewhere, and I appreciate that she was eager to learn. However, she ended up being the one assigned to me. She was very kind and polite, but it quickly became clear that she was inexperienced.
