Amazing food! Our family of 4 enjoyed a wonderful dinner last night. The calamari was delicious down to the steak frites and pizza. The pizza sauce was outstanding and taste so authentic. The food was definitely made with love. My 12 year old also loved their homemade sweet tea. The owners are very welcoming and do a great job making everyone feel like they are family. Our server, Lizzie, was great. The owner, Demetri, stopped by the table and chatted us up. It is loud but they are working on solving that problem. We have diner here twice and gotten take out. The food is always delicious and there are many choices on the menu. The back room is beautifully decorated and a great place for a celebration. Went for lunch here with a total of three people. Great atmosphere and overall very nicely designed from the inside. We had a table towards the back of the restaurant. We ordered a Greek pizza and the mezze platter. The portions are a good size and it was sufficient for our group of three people who shared everything. When you sit , they give bread with olive oil. The olive oil is slightly mixed with red pepper (I think ) but regardless it's a nice addition. The food was fresh. Also ordered baklava and ice cream for dessert. I've had better baklava and better ice cream but this is not bad. I personally like my baklava less drenched in syrup and the ice cream tasted store bought (not sure if it was or not). Regardless, this place is very pretty from the inside. The menu has plenty of options available for people of all different dietary requirements. Had take-out from here last night. The restaurant was absolutely slammed! Being new I guess everyone was eager to try it out. They did a great job getting their reservations seated quickly (no-one was standing around waiting for their tables) and the staff were calm, professional and friendly, despite the busy atmosphere. The take-out orders were running behind, but again, it's a brand new establishment and Friday night. The food was awesome and well worth the wait. We ordered 3 pizzas; The Meat Lovers (with no cheese, husband can't eat it), Tony's Favorite & The Margherita); and also had The Ultimate Falafel Sandwich w/side of fries. Everything was perfect. My husband and I went to the Naked Olive for the first time last weekend. Upon entering we were pleasantly surprised by the decor. It was warm and inviting. Bread and olive oil was outstanding, however, my husband's entree of salmon was actually smelly and obviously old. He refused it. We eat salmon at least twice a week and know when to avoid it. The manager took the salmon off our bill and offered another entree which was okay but not terrific. I chose the special of the evening, scallops with pureed squash and blackened brussel sprout leaves. It was also okay, but the portion was more like an appetizer. The scallops had been divided so they could be spread out on the rectangular platter, there was perhaps 1/4 cup of squash puree, and the sprout leaves were charred to blackened crisps. My husband remarked that the meals I prepare at home have far more flavor and are more satisfying. My husband was not offered a gratis coffee, dessert or appetizer as he watched me eat, and then I watched him eat. The staff were all pleasant, but overall, other than the fabulous bread/oo it there was nothing in our dinner that would entice us back. In the cafe's favor, it was busy, and perhaps we just had bad luck? I would have really liked to have been wowed, but it was not to be. read more

Went for early dinner at 4pm on a Saturday. I had the salmon which was SOO good that I think I will be thinking about it for a while. It came with an arugula salad with lemon vinaigrette and shaved parmesan that was great. The salmon was cooked perfectly with a delicious crispy edge over delicious rice. My SIL got the same but substituted salad for the rice because it's that good. I liked the variety of the salad and the rice. My DH had the spaghetti which he loved. My BIL.had a seafood dish. We all cleaned our plates it was that good. Dessert was the citrus creme brulee, mmm so good. The ambiance was nice. It started getting loud towards when we were leaving at 530. As others have mentioned, the owner was highly visible in the restaurant and came by the table to see how we were enjoying the dinner. We will be going back! This is the only nice sit down "Greek" restaurant in the area. My husband and I love traveling to Greece and eating Greek food. Unfortunately, this area does not offer much. Enter The Naked Olive. We were so excited when we learned that a nice sit-down Greek restaurant was coming to the area but it took us awhile to go there because they don't take reservations for groups under 5. We are not people to stand in a crowd of others and wait 20 minutes for a table. We finally were able to get there on the earlier side over a holiday weekend when many people were at the beach or parties. We actually left a party early to come here and were seated immediately. The menu has a lot of our beloved Greek items, but they also have a lot of other items such as pizza and pasta dishes. I consider this more Mediterranean cuisine with Greek and Italian dishes. We love spanakopita and while their spanakopita was tasty, it was a lot of Philo and shaped like a pretzel. We also ordered the mezze platter which had all of our favorite dips such as hummus and tzatziki. There's a lot on that platter and we usually take it home. My husband enjoyed the chicken dish. For him to say something positive about a chicken a chicken dish is huge. I love their cioppino, but I do have to tell them to hold the rice. To make a long story longer, the food here is very good, but it's an Americanized menu. While this doesn't help me, it's a smart move on the owners part because this place is always packed and always raved about. The restaurant is beautiful inside also. And it's a BYOB with no corkage fee so we do love that. Sadly we only come here maybe once or twice a year with other people because again they don't take reservations for groups under five. We do not wait as if we're in line for concert tickets. It's tacky. In fact last night we were there and when I went to the restroom I could see the groups of people just waiting for tables and they were standing over others who are sitting and it was just tacky. We gave the owner this feedback when we first went and his comment was they just don't need to take reservations and what they're doing works well. But it doesn't. We are customers and we would give you so much more business if we could just make a reservation for the two of us. read more

Amazing food and service!! Food tastes absolutely perfect. We are so happy to not have to drive to Philly to get good quality food as this place serves the same or better food right here. We had the lamb skewers and chicken skewers. Both were perfect. The lamb was perfectly crusty on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside. The spanakopita was amazingly flaky and salted perfectly. The interiors really look amazing and perfect for hosting private parties too. We are definitely coming back!!! read more

Best food in Kennett hands down. From the burgers to the special gyros to the shrimp Alfredo pizza. We have never had a bad meal there.

Went here for the first time and it definitely won't be the last. Everyone was so kind and friendly and the food was fantastic! My husband got the spaghetti and added chicken and scrapped the plate clean. I opted for the mushroom risotto and it was fantastic. My one daughter got the grill cheese and loved it. We stole a couple fries and were extremely surprised and how delicious those were as well. My other daughter got the cheese pizza and it too was good. No complaints with anything! I finished with the Orange Creme Brûlée and it was delicious. We all will definitely be back! read more
